I listened to the DT8 with a Hegel H90 and loved the speaker except they were sometimes a bit too sharp and forward. Will the Vincent as a hybrid class A amp solve this well?
@@drieswal Hi, I never listened to any Hegel amp so I can't compare the two. I've had the Vincent for a couple of years and it is anything but bright when played through the DT8's. The Vincent has a tube preamp section and it adds some warmth to the top end I believe. Don't get me wrong it's not a soft treble because it is extended, airy, revealing it just doesn't have the harshness I've heard with some solid-state amps. Plus it does have a set of tone controls, which I haven't had to use, to boost or reduce the bass and treble if needed. I've lived with this combination for a couple of years and am very happy with it. The Proac's playback whatever the source provides it. They are the most musical speaker I've owned and vocals played back through them are the most intelligible I've heard through any speaker.
