New Aztec hero, OCELOTL, will be available on July 27 for cash money, and two weeks later you will be able to unlock him for steel. These are the most beatiful sets of weapons I've ever seen made for this game. Absolute banger.
I also think it'd be cool, but according to lore, the Order of Horkos raided Tenochtitlan, the capital city of the Aztec Empire, and since there aren´t any Maya or Inca references in Ocelotl, the theory of a mix up is discarded. That's why it's important to not get these confused. They might look the same, but trust me, they aren't.
I personally think that's not the case. On one side, who knows how many months they've been working on Ocelotl. And on the other, they have a historian on the team. They not knowing is very unlikely.
Mexico borders South America... Who says you can't go for an adventure and explore? Besides that's what you see other factions do. Raider having a leopard pelt on his sash, or Black Prior with Crocodile leather on a shield.

@@onilion5679 No it doesn't. Mexico is squarely North America. There are several countries between it and the continent of South America. That's the type of off hand, not bothering with research comment that gets people labeled as racist. Ubisoft should know better.
Alright, I'm really liking the weapons. They look gorgeous. The armor looks good too, but I'm withholding judgement until I see how it looks customized.
@@camelusdromedarius3789He isn’t wrong… Then the 80% of the community doesn’t see the difference. Of course there is, but not as much as the other heroes
I guess in reality specifically for Aztec armor there isn’t really much variety in a sense, since the most armors you’ll see were vest-padded armor. And the other reserved for higher up usually full body padded armor (ended at the neck, risk, and ankles). What could of done was added the padded armors (variations being with different animals prints (prints as in their computers)) both full body and vest-like ones (vests ones usually were used by lower ranks but we can see some nicely plumed ones used by higher) And another being like captured conquistador armor (there armor some Spanish codex’s that talk about the people of the new world picking up their armor to defense themselves from Spanish weapons) possibly have the armor with signs of scratches, dents, maybe blood too and others variants with paints on them (resembling animal skins or colorful paints, this would go for helms as well (morions, cabasetts, burgonets, and maybe some closed helms with these paints) but to clarify for the European armor variants, not a full suit more like breastplate and helm
Looks cool, just wish he wasnt half naked, and that they had used aztec smithing techniques that they usually used to incorporate bronze and copper into the armors... oh well.
I believe it was only really the Incas that did that. The Aztecs for the most part only really used lighter armors with fabrics and stuff. One specifically being a cotton chestpiece that was dipped in a brine to harden it and make it near impossible to pierce especially with arrows.
No cotton tunic set? That was a really common form of Aztec armour, I fell like that should've been one maybe where he's no wearing any headpiece either too. Sad to see you missed a pretty obvious choice.
its disappointing hat besides for the spears there arent really any weapon variants that have the blades lined close thogther like in real life, its a bit more like a giant club with poking parts on it instead of the actual bladed weapons they were irl
also ngl if they wanted to do an american character an iroquoian would be a lot cooler imo, especially bcus theyd have actual armor options and you could have options that are keratin or bone or wood or metal for the armor and theyd all still make sense
@@SneakybeakyScrubNah I prefer this. Honestly I would have preferred a Inca hero just because they developed copper weapons and armor so there would be ways to implement some metal armor and weaponry.
@@Threezi04 They made copper first, I can’t recall if they used bronze but if they did, it was certainly too expensive to rely on for the majority of metal gear.

6:05 Just to clarify, the Aztecs were not from the southern Americas, that's the Inca Empire. The Aztecs were from Mexico.
Cool armor variations.👍👍👍
I'd by if it was in the story. Which they didn't bring up lol.
Omg the Aztecs and Incas interacting because of the cataclysm would be awesome 😮😮

Ocelotl and Afeera have some of the coolest designs out of all the characters in the game. Thanks for the art direction for these new characters!

@@kaijuslayer3334 You're right I was getting confused with some representations of Quetzalcoatl sculptures using a feathered armors.

Possible include native North American.
Mohicano, Apache, Navajo, Cheroke, variant.
Mexico is North Anerican
Does the Ocelotl's Armor Sets not have alternative variants like the others? They didn't show any off.
They did. It just changes body and face paint
feels good to be recognized
we need more patterns like the fallen protector
I missed this pattern cuz it was in the last event =(

this is not the for honor official account
only one gender? Sadge

Too bad his gameplay is unoriginal excluding his feats of course

Let me guess, Edgy Armors?
