  • In this video, I unbox my new Lenovo Legion Slim 7i gaming laptop. It serves to replace my ZBook Fury 15 G8 as my primary workstation. It has 16 GB DDR5 RAM, 2.5 TB storage, and a 2560x1600 matte display. Support the channel by liking and subscribing.

Hi Andy, I'm looking to upgrade my HP notebook, with either another HP, or maybe a Dell, as those are the only two makes I know that provide a UK keyboard configuration. The American layout would drive me bananas - the @ key being on the top row, and just where have they hidden the £ sign?
I'm going to miss your HP reviews, but I appreciate your reasons for making a change. You always give excellent informative talks and I'm looking forward to more about your new beast. Good to see you again.

I would avoid any Dell that only uses type C charging, but you do whatever works for you. I will still post ZBook reviews, just not this year. I will cover the 13th gen Intel refresh of the ZBooks though. I appreciate your support and kindness.

@@andysilvers9532 Hi Andy, thanks again, I appreciate your advice. I wonder when HP are bringing out a new ZBook, any idea? I'm seriously considering Dell's Alienware m18. Have you seen them? If they'd made them with UHD screens I'd have snapped one up already. Unfortunately HP don't seem to be making anything with an 18inch screen and numberpad, which is frustrating. I've loved my old HP notebook, and it's served me well since Windows 7 came out, which i still use as I really don't like Windows 10. Clumsily, I dropped it a few years ago which broke the cooling fan (it now rattles and is much slower, causing problems) and damaged one of the hinges, which resulted in it eventually seizing up and snapping. The whole machine is in a delicate precarious state, held together with glue and duct tape! While I have to be extra careful with it and It's been in that condition for a couple of years, I've point blank refused to get a smaller screen than what I'm using, so Alienware's latest glorious 18inch models are a much long awaited relief, honestly. I don't know how much longer I can talk myself into waiting for a possible UHD version though. I would love to hear an m18 review by your good self, but i know just how you feel about not sticking with HP, it pains me too, but like you, I'm forced into it. Wishing you well my friend.

@@skinny6372 Thank you for watching my videos. I am very likely to switch back to HP one day. Maybe even the ZBook Power G10. But the value of my $1400 Legion was great. If you need a massive display, Razer has an 18 inch laptop too. MSI does too. If you can go 17 inch, you'll have a lot more options. Maybe try a ZBook Fury 17 G8 if you're fine with something a bit older. I will try to do a m17 video covering the laptop in general but I can't do a full review. I suspect HP will refresh the ZBook laptops with Intel 13th gen this Fall.

@@andysilvers9532 Hi Andy, I hope you are well. Thanks for your recommendations. I've seen the Razor, but it doesn't have a number pad, so that's a no go for me. I'm currently checking on news about Intel's i9 13th gen. It looks like there are issues with it and everyone is having problems cooling 24 cores. Time will reveal all.
I tell you Andy, you never fail to amaze me with your knowledge. How you do it, I'm not going to ask you to reveal, but you've done it again... a ZBook G10 this year indeed. I certainly hope they're going large this time. Droppng the screen size on the G9 ruled it out for me.
All the best Andy, looking forward to your next video. Take care.

I bought a new hp pavilion plus oled 12500h cpu . Whenever the laptop is on the fans are always running, is it common.

I would try software updates, including using HP Support Assist for the latest drivers. Check the BIOS too for fan options.
