Hey Magnus, you should consider wearing your go-pro on your forehead while you lead climb so we can see the holds and movements up-close. It's hard to get a feel for a climb without seeing the holds very well. You could also use your drone inside when you are climbing after-hours to get better shots of the high parts of the routes.

    • @mattiasgonczi

I dunno, I always find gopro films of climbing to be a bit jerky, as the wearer looks around.

Thanks for making this video! This vlog arrived at the perfect time for me. I was watching some people train with a weight vest at the gym this weekend and I was wondering if it would be a good way to increase my stamina. You confirmed my fears that this kind of climbing would be risk prone, and probably not worth it for me, but it's nice to understand what kind of power this type of training generates. Also, repeating the same climb that you know you can be successful on is another method I had not really thought about, although I am prone to tendonitis in my elbows when repeating hard boulders. I also note that at the end you chose a climb that had an easier one nearby so you could get back to the place you fell off. I am lucky enough to have an awesome lead gym. I wonder about the falling with the weight vest, do you think if you have the ability to train with the vest on a lead wall it would be better for your body since you wouldn't be falling on the ground? What do you think about climbing up and then downclimbing as apposed to falling from the top?
Thanks again! Love your vlogs. And yes! I want to see Simon climb!

Nice vlog. I indeed "enjoy" to see you suffer and give it all you have. Keep up the good work!

Really good video, it's made interesting by seeing you get progressively more tired after each climb, on the 7a+ yellow you could really see by the 3rd try that you didn't have anywhere near as much explosive energy

It would be fun to see Simon climb. It would be like watching myself climb!
