Thx for this review. I have same machine and have learned not all Nespresso original line machines are created equal when it comes to 3rd party capsules. I’ve had many just not work with this machine even tho they are so called compatible. Currently I’m using Trombetta capsules purchased from Costco for $0.32 a capsule so very affordable. Unfortunately these are hit and miss when it comes to working or not. I’m looking at trying these Lavazza capsules and your video has been very helpful.
Thank you for the added info regarding the Nespresso Original line machines. The issue you've described with some of the Nespresso compatible pods out there is common. I have another video reviewing a popular third-party Nespresso compatible brand and although the capsules always work, there are other issue s I had with them. The LavAzza Nespresso compatible capsules, when used in the Original Line machine featured in the video, always "work". When mixed with milk or cream, it's not quite as good as the Nespresso capsules, but it's decent enough when you factor in the price. If you use the link I provided in the description, you can buy 100 LavAzza capsules for $.28 each! If you're drinking straight shots (without any milk products) you may enjoy the change from your "go-to" Nespresso flavors. Enjoy and thank you for the positive feedback!
The LavAzza Nespresso compatible capsules will not break your Nespresso Essenza Mini. I've pulled hundreds of shots using a variety of the LavAzza Nespresso compatible pods and my machine is fine. There's nothing that can really damage your Nespresso machine. Due note however, that these capsules will not work as efficiently as the original Nespresso pods. That is to say, when you make some shots, you may get a tiny bit of water at first, before the actual coffee shot comes out. It seems to only happen on the first of a series of shots for me, and when it happens seems to be random. I recently bought the new LavAzza Nespresso Aluminum capsules (which I will be doing a review on very shortly) and while I think they will fit all Nespresso machines better than the old plastic ones, I still randomly get some water (again only with the first pull) before the espresso starts to come out. Also, the taste in my opinion, is not close to the original Nespresso pods. But, there are very few if any other pods, outside of the original Nespresso pods, that actually work well with a Nespresso machine. So compatible pods are limited in choice. More importantly, these pods can be bought for as low as 30 cents each on sale (I have a link below). That is a huge difference in price compared to the original Nespresso pods. That is probably the biggest factor in terms of why one would choose the LaVazza Nespresso compatible capsules over the originals. But back to your question, you need not worry, and they are worth trying to see if they are a fit for you and/or your family.
By aluminum, you are referring to the top cover of the LavAzza Nespresso capsule I assume? The body of the capsule is made of biopolymers according to the LavAzza website. www.lavazzausa.com/en/coffee-capsules-pods/nespresso-compatible-deciso
@@efficientway all the body i mean they look more like l'or-costa-illy capsules now ))))) ps: the site is a mess m8 they are always late when it comes to updating
Interesting that you get the same thing with the Cafe Bustelo Nespresso compatible capsules. As I noted, it's not a consistent problem i.e. it doesn't happen every time and it rarely occurs on the second capsule I use in a row. I can't figure that inconsistency out. You wouldn't think such a small change in design between the original Nespresso Capsules and the compatibles would make such a big difference, but it does somehow. It must be more than just how they're packing the capsules. Anyway, that is helpful information regarding the Cafe Bustelo so thank you for sharing.
