One of my biggest Resident Evil hot takes currently is I'm not a Leon and Ada shipper. I don't think them being in a relationship would be a good thing at all. I have nothing against people shipping them but me personally I don't see them working out in a good way
Same, I’m honestly a Leon and Ashley guy. Ada is cool, but they aren’t meant for each other. And I like how the remake gives Leon less simp like qualities for her
Claire shouldn't die, your reasons for supporting this idea are not solid. Claire has 0 connection with Jill, is not deeply connected to Leon, yeah they have some long-term friend and partnership, but not necessarily very developed, Chris is the only one who is directly connected with her from the true main cast and the only one to have meaningful connections with all the main characters, if there is someone that should die should be him.
100% agree. Chris should def die in the next game imo he has been in sooo many of the games and if his death brings back Jill and Claire itd be worth it

Chris should absolutely be the character to die. Ever since 6 I’ve felt that way. When Wesker died, Chris’ main nemesis, and most interesting plot point was gone. Chris’ scenarios in all recent entries are basically all action, which seems to be a theme long time fans hate, and every entry we’ve gotten from him just felt like “oh hey here’s some Chris for you guys”. They could give him a meaningful death and call it good.
Because they are good. So are the remakes. I just like the originals more because of the tank controls and fixed camera. And now we got more games emulating that style. Like Tormented Souls.

Totally agree with your take on RE3R. My biggest hot take would seem to be that RE6 is an amazing game. It's certainly got issues but as a game it's insanely fun with a buddy. I also like the different scenario's and the large cast of playable characters. Also has the best extra modes.
The arguments of it not being a "true" Resident Evil notwithstanding, I had a fun time with it. It has my favourite incarnation of the Mercenaries mode too

I agree with all your points except Chris being a better character than Leon. I know it will come down to preference, but for me, it's Leon all the way.
As for your take on Claire, I completely agree with you, BUT... before Claire dies, there is one thing CAPCOM ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to address. You see, I have discovered (which nearly all other RE fans didn't for some strange reason) that after Code Veronica, there's something mentally wrong with Claire. This becomes especially true in Degeneration, where (by definition) Claire has a hallucination of all things, and says things like "I know what Leon would do" right after the hallucination. Things like this confused many so called Claire fans. My discovery is that I found the reason why. CAPCOM has been telling this story in plain sight for a long time, in a way that goes over many Western audiences. The story is that even after 17 years (Death Island) Claire has NOT come to terms with Steve's death. This is because almost every single time she acts strange, it can be connected to Code Veronica and specifically to Steve. If Claire dies in RE9, Capcom NEEDS to address whether or not she ever came to terms with Steve's death.
My hot take is I liked the concept Re6 tried to do with characters meeting up with each other and doing it again but in the other characters view of how it went down
I didn't find her bad at all. It was a noticeable change in voice compared to RE2R. I prefer the RE2R actress, but I'm not opposed to RE4R's actress staying. So unless there's an actual lore reason for the difference (hey, could be a small possibility as they get closer to finishing up these remakes with RE6 down the line), I'd just like consistency with the voice actors. If a replacement HAS to happen, try to get as close as possible.
I agree with almost all of them, except for the co-op restriction. If the story is well-written, I don’t really mind having a partner to play with. Oh and killing Claire off? I feel like Chris has gone through enough already at least for now.

I disagree with what you said about Ada's character being inconsistent. I think her character is mostly consistent, and any inconsistency can be chalked up to character growth. She's an Anti-hero, she does bad things but she's not a bad person. Being a mercenary isn't inherently bad; she may not have been aware of the consequences of retrieving the g-virus. I also think her experience with Leon showed her that she might have been wrong about some things she'd done. I also think its pretty logical that if you learned that the person who hired you intends to use the thing you bring them to kill billions, that you would suddenly have a change of heart about continuing the mission. I think Ada is a selfish person but she learns to become selfless from Leon. I also think the simplification of her story in the remakes aligns with this train of thought better. Also, hell yeah, RE3 remake is an excellent game, its just a poor remake of the original. I hate it when people completely overlook the game just because its not completely faithful to the original. I will say though, it definitely could have done with being longer though.
My counter arguments for: 3 - Claire's death: I feel like this would be a bad move simply because we haven't had much of Claire at all. We saw her escape Raccoon City with Leon and Sherry, in Rockfort Island with Steve trying to find Chris and in Sein Island with Moira trying to find out what's going on there. Unless they give her a lot to do in RE9 I feel like her death would end up being a let down. 5 - RE1R Again: While it would be nice to have the modern controls in the Spencer Mansion and finally having a canon ending, fans are in their right to be worried about it having cut-content and characters personality changes. One thing I've seen the Remakes do is divide the fanbase on which version of the characters they prefer and would like to see being used in the future. 6 - Miranda: I feel like she could've been better if we spent more time with her or just seen more with her. 8 - Ada: Having played RE2 for the first time recently, I can say that Ada never took advantage of Leon, she never asked for his help and would go off on her own to do her job, Leon was the one that kept following her because he made it his mission to protect any civillians he could. When Leon takes a bullet for her, she feels guilty so even when she has the G-Virus in her hand, she still goes back to save Leon from Mr. X and gets "killed" for it. She manages to save Leon and she still has the G-Virus so she still finishes her job. RE4 pretty much does the same thing but cranks up her sassiness. Remake Ada does actually manipulate Leon into helping her by recruiting him to go with her and asking for his help to retrieve the G-Virus sample. Not to mention their interactions feel more "aggressive" (might not be the best word) and less emotional in comparision to the original.
Less hot with me. I actually liked Piers and if you change their places, it'll be a perfect way to close Chris' arc in that game. However, if they do have more things prepared for him then it was a good decision to keep him alive.
my opinion is that we need more games with groups trapped in a smaller location like the starts in re1, the way the group slowly dies person by person until only a handful remains i think is great
Decent list and hot takes. I don't really agree with them but that's the main point. World would be boring without them. Here are some of my spiciest takes: * RE5 is one of the best RE games. (And better than OG RE4 imo) * Ethan Winters is an amazing protagonist. * The new Jill Valentine is one of the best versions of the characters. * It never would have made sense for RE7 and Village to be disconnected from the franchise. * Resident Evil never had a good story. It's all about lore building. * RE4 remake Leon is easily the best version of the character. * Code Veronica is the most overrated game in the franchise. * There are no bad RE mainline entries. * Helena Harper is one of the worst characters in the franchise. * Revelations 1 is the only RE game that bored me to death so far. * RE Village is one of the best and apparently most underappreciated game in the franchise. I know it's not scary like RE7, but so isn't RE4 compared to the OG trilogy. * Mr. X is the most overrated stalker and a downgrade compared to Jack Baker. * Speaking of which, Jack Baker is the best modern stalker. Simple reason is because he actually catches up to you.
Those are some hot takes. I agree with 5 over 4. I personally liked Revelations and it was a good handheld game imo. I felt nothing with 7 Ethan, tho he improved in Village as a character. I believe Code Veronica is a cold take as from my POV, the fandom seems to think it's got more jank and soft lock issues than other old school Resi games. I see it complained about as much as zero when it comes to quality of life and secondary protagonists. I like both Mr X and Jack for different reasons so I can see why you prefer Jack. You're right on lore over story. There have been better side characters than Helena, so I agree.
I think RE Village is underrated in the scares department, scarier than it's given credit for. More than the Beneviento section. That's probably my hot take.
My hot takes:i don't like Chris as a character and i hate how Capcom keeps using him in all mainline games instead of Jill and i don't like Code Veronica that much,is a good game but some people whorship CV like if God himself created that game,i like way more RE1,2,3,Outbreak and 4 than Veronica.
My personal hot take would be Resident Evil 3 Original being a better game than RE 1+2. And that‘s because it’s much more rounder. RE 1+2 always lose 50% of their atmosphere when you leave the main locations. The mine and lab are nothing compared to the mansion and so are the sewers and lab compared to the RPD. Resident Evil 3 Original is able to keep its vibe from the beginning to the end without losing atmosphere, thrill or any of its charm
My hot take was the same as yours, they should remake Resident Evil 1 or 0 then go to Code Veronica and 5 bc new fans seeing Wesker in RE 4 had no idea who he was.
I agree however as someone who came to RE from DBD I knew that Wesker exists and watched some stuff about him on YT long ago before he showed up in RE4R. I believe that a new RE1R should be mandatory right now so even new players can experience the story from the beginning.

Honestly bro your Claire should die take doesn't make any sense. Chris's death would have the most impact especially since he was originally supposed to die in 6 anyways. He's been overused and his character arc was finished a long time ago. My opinion is chris should die, rebecca should come back and jill and Claire should be the main characters. Jill and Claire's character arcs could use so much more development, and I'd love to see Rebecca come back as that as she's been under utilized too
I think in regards to Ada, they are trying to make her more of the hero than an anti hero. RE6 is a good example of this. She does the right thing and from then on the RE 2 remake (she could of shot Leon and not helped him with the rocket launder) and RE 4 remake (she saved Luis and helped Leon) she’s more aware and has a conscious. Inconsistent in the past yes I agree but I would say she’s more of a hero now thanks to the remakes .
My biggest hot take is that resident Evil Village is the best game in the franchise. I will defend this game until I day. It definitely has some problems, my biggest problem with the game is the replay ability, since the section with Donna is really boring (it is boring only when you replay it a lot and know exactly what to do), because you have to solve that puzzle over and over again when you replay it, but other than that, I love everything about it
I agree with Chris > Leon. Better backstory. More experienced. Better trained. Amazing synergy with Jill. Great character development etc. The only thing that really annoyed me were his many redesigns.
So I know this isn’t as impressive but I finally beat The Last of Us Part 2 on Grounded Mode Ellie% in under 3 hours last weekend! 😃 Just in case anyone doesn’t know what “Grounded” means the game describes it as: “Grounded: "The most challenging and realistic experience. Listen Mode, HUD, and other gameplay elements are altered in this game mode."[5] "For veteran The Last of Us fans, Grounded difficulty represents the ultimate test of skill. This difficulty raises the stakes by not only making enemies deadlier and ammo, upgrade, and crafting materials incredibly scarce, but also removing invaluable tools for survival, such as disabling Listen mode, deactivating elements of the HUD, and more."
I'm not a super RE experienced player to have a hot take necessarily, but here's at least 3. 1. I kinda prefer to have a different main character in RE9. Chris, Jill, Leon & Claire have had at least 3 separate appearances in the series, which is more than Rebecca and Barry, who I would honestly want to follow in a game for a change. Hell, I would gladly even take up, Sheva, Carlos or Billy as a main character. Likely not a popular opinion, but it's honest. 2. I'm up for introducing a new character. They did it with Ethan Winters and Jake Muller, I'm sure Capcom can get away with at least one more. 3. I don't hate RE0. I get the obvious problems. I definitely could see some improvements, but I just can't help but like it. It was the first RE game I ever played (please do NOT attack me for this) and I'd say it has the most potential for a remake right now. Fixing up the story, gameplay and item management. But, techincal annoyances aside, the only thing I didn't like was Marcus. Not the idea, but the execution. It's way too Final Fantasy looking and I'm not a fan of early RE cheesy dialogue. I'd say Marcus was improved a bit in Umbrella Chronicles. So yeah, those are 3 hit takes of mine, an inexperienced player of the series. If you don't agree, fine. But if you're gonna turn it into a debate or whatever, then sue me.
RE 1 would be dope if they allowed toy play through eyes of both alpha and bravo team perspective. Also, be nice to get the prequel of the grizzly murders that happened outside the mansion
Mercenaries 3ds is the best version if they just ported to console and touch it up and added more characters. Alex Wesker could easily be a villain for a side series that isn't Revelations. The reason why multiplayer games don't work in RE is because Capcom half ass the games in the first place and then update them a couple times before abandoning them. A multiplayer game could totally work if they don't trend chase the RE games dressed like esports shooter or fortnite/DBD. I'd prefer a second Sheva game over a second Rebecca or Barry game. Would love to see her take main stage and partner with any of the 4 mains.

I agree with you about Chris, it's not even a matter of opinion, it's a fact that he is the main protagonist of the series, he was one of those responsible for taking down the umbrella, He founded BSAA, killed Albert Wesker and stopped the Uroboros from killing all of humanity, he is literally a superhero, but unfortunately few see this, we know that Leon is Capcom's golden boy And we love him, but it's a fact that Chris is the main protagonist of the franchise and the most important of all, but the saga has so many fans and from so many different generations That most people don't really know the story of Resident Evil
My hot take: claire and jill are equals in the same ways as leon and chris. I believe both are important to the story and can stalemate each other in hand to hand combat
Claire? Stand toe to toe with Jill and best her in hand to hand combat? That is indeed a hot take. In RE2 and CV, Claire isn't even a trained officer or agent. She's just a regular person, which compared to Chris, Leon, and Jill, makes her the least qualified to be able to survive. Let's be honest here, of all the main characters, Claire has THE most plot armor. She isn't a part of a counter bioterrorism group until Revelations 2, which turns out to not even be her brother's group, which I'd say is a pretty big indication that even though she has some actual training now, she's still not on the same level as Chris, Jill, or Leon. If a writer is trying to go for a shocking and emotionally impactful death in a story, killing the most tenured characters likely aren't going to have the maximum effect. That takes out Chris and Jill, although Jill's death would have much more impact than Chris or Leon due to Jill having one of the roughest arcs out of everyone imo. But more impactful than Jill would be Claire because out of the four, she's pretty much the heart. She's extremely well liked, she has those regular person roots that I mentioned, which is why people connected with her to begin with, and even though she hasn't been through as much as Jill, she's more mentally wore down than Jill is, which again, is due to her starting her journey in this story as a regular person, the least qualified person, an underdog, that manages to find a way due to her determination and her natural good heart. So yeah, of the 4, if one HAS to die to make a huge impact that will be felt by the others, either through whatever personal relationship they had with her or through their personal relationship with Chris, Claire is the only one that would be able to have that kind of impact. Chris, Jill, and Leon all chose a life of serving and protecting before getting mixed up with Umbrella. Claire just wanted to find her brother, meaning this life she finds herself in now chose her. That only serves to add yet another layer of tragedy to her death. The fact that many people are vehemently against the idea of her dying proves she's practically the only choice for a very emotionally impactful death. If a story just kills the person that the majority of people are okay with dying (Chris), that's when things can become forced as the people aren't as emotionally connected to that character as the story likely has to force the affected characters into being as a reaction. Chris dying would be huge, yes, but the best way to go about a death with him is a soldier's death. Characters would be saddened, but ultimately accepting of it and would push forward and continue the fight he was fighting in his honor. Jill's would have more impact because of everything she's been through, but the most affected character would be Chris. Leon's death would be treated the same as Chris' death in story, but fans would absolutely revolt as their connection with Leon is way different from Leon's connection with the other characters outside of Ada. Bro has been a huge simp for her since day 1. But with everyone else, he just doesn't have that same type of connection. But the fans have that connection with him, so there would be a huge disconnect between character reactions and fan reactions to Leon dying, making his death not only unneeded but a very high risk. But Claire would have the same impact emotionally with fans and the other characters because of her backstory, how she got into this life not by choice but by force and survival, and how that forced choice ultimately wore her down mentally and killed her in the end.

a couple of my hot takes: 1) Criticizing 5 and 6 while praising 4 as the greatest game ever conceived even though it's basically the same thing as its sequels; 2) since we're on it, RE6 is actually a great RE game (and it definitely deserves a big remake); 3) RE3 remake is also great; 4) We need more Revelations episodes I disagree with the idea that Claire needs to die. Narratively speaking, you should kill main characters only when absolutely necessary; killing them just to raise the stakes or something it's such a lazy solution/trope. There's no doubt that the series should do something with its characters. The main core ones are just too old (though there's the weird situation with Jill) and they should progressively retire while others should be brought back in order to expand their stories and roles within the story (e.g., Sheva, Jake, Jessica or Carlos just to name a few)

Jill is my favorite RE character since the first game (played it back in 1997). One of the only good things in RE 3 remake is her model. What a beautiful character. They nailed it. Maybe she's the prettiest character ever made for a videogame, and i'm not saying it as a fanboy. And yeah, as an og RE fan i'm still disappointed with 3 remake. My hype was so high that i pre ordered the game as RE 3 Nemesis is one of my favorites of the franchise. The game is not bad, but as a RE 3 it's horrible.
My biggest take is that re 4 is conpletely pointless because saddler had already infected ashley by the time leon got there so if he had just let them leave then he would've won. That also makes him in my opinion the worst re villain we have ever had.
Well he did say that he wanted to keep Leon as a puppet and maybe used Ashley as bait to lure him in . In the remake however he wanted to kill Leon but instead of breaking his neck , he just leaves when they first met .

It was thanks to Ada that Leon and Ashley barely survived and it was thanks to Luis , that Ada was there in the first place because he send an e-mail that Ada found out about . The game has many hidden details , that's what makes it so great .
I love the OG RE4. When I played through it again, about 3 years ago, I found myself loving it but also getting frustrated with a lot of the game mechanics. It’s still a classic and should be hanging in a museum, but I think I also prefer the remake. The story flows better. The side characters actually have depth. Leon is somehow an even bigger badass, and I thought Separate Ways tied in really well with the updated narrative.
Believe it or not, I'm on your side for the RE 3 remake. It reminds me a lot of Dracula: Dead and Loving It or David Bowie's Tonight album - not their A-game, but work I visit a lot
10: Yeah, Mr.X has that horror aspect and does it well. However you can’t really compare the two because one chases you in a building and another chases you through a whole city. About hot take number 10, I have to agree with you on that one. Mr X in the RE2 remake is absolutely freaking terrifying, especially in the R.P.D. station. When he's walking around looking all over for us, his footsteps seem to echo and it can throw you off kilter because you can't tell where he is in the station. You think you're in the clear........only to run right into the hulking tyrant and have to run in the opposite direction. They did an incredible job with this character.
RE3 remake is missing the gore from 2 far as bullet wounds zombies face. Nemesis was lame and the side characters was far better but it’s missing so much of raccoon city and it’s missing the factory and clock tower.
My hot take is Re5 is still the best in the series...it's just og re4 with better gameplay a better main villain a better protagonist (imo) and a much better gameplay loop anyone who complains about shevas ai dosent understand peak Sheva is a walking ammo bag for you
Chris over Leon 😂 Chris gets sent in with a team and comes back alone, Leon gets sent in alone and comes out with friends. To each his own but I think Leon takes it myself.
Claire dying from a BSAA BOW would make Chris’s motivation in stopping them a lot more believable and personal. We can even have Chris and Leon team up to stop BSAA. Claire is also extremely important to Leon also.
DEFINITELY agree that Chris Redfield is MUCH BETTER than Leon Kennedy!. It ain't really a Hot take per se but I support the Ship of Valenfield! (Chris and Jill).
Hot take: Rebecca needs another game. She has a LOT of untapped potential, and Zero wasn't that great a vehicle for her. Give her a story that lets her really shine.
My personal hot take is that RE0 was a good game (aside from the hookshot) and yes it could benefit from a remake, but I think it is still pretty good as is.

I agree with you, Ruben. Except for the Mr. X being better than original Nemesis and Ada. I get what you were saying for both but from my attempts at playing these games Nemesis creeped me out more, and then there's the watching aspect of it, still Nemesis won. With Ada with the remakes. In RE2 she was a hardcore mercenary until she met Leon. Leon wasn't the only one that fell in love that night. Then in Separate ways her narrative she had regret for how she treated Leon and her hand in many people dying. By the end of the dlc she made up her mind that she wasn't gonna be a part of that again.
I think Claire should not die l think if she loses her memory like Chris in RE6 because in every RE game we play Claire always like her brother like Rev2 the enemy was someone his name was Wasker and the protagonist was selfish and want to find someone who loves and partner was helping his friend to find Jill or Neil even if he doesn’t agree with him

Overall half of them aren't that hot. I probably have many hot takes for RE franchise (and many more for other horrors) but I think 1 is enough. Resident Evil 4 is good game, but overrated at the same time and fandom's only big defence from any critique for it as I see is that it revolutionized survival horror, which doesn't mean it's the best game ever made...
Mr X in RE2 Remake is kinda lame imo! After initially coming face to face with him i rarely encounter him again until as claire hes scripted to die to Birkin or when hes mutated to his super form when playing as Leon! On a side note it was rumoured that RE9 would have Leon & Chris as the main chars and that one of them is going to die!
Heya! Before starting my comment, I need to say that I haven't played quite a number of RE games like original RE 1, 2 and 3, no Revelation game and not RE: CV. So, I cannot comment on all 10 Hot Takes. Here are my thoughts: HT 10: I only played RE 2 and 3 Remake, so I can't compare Mr. X to the original Mr. X and Nemesis. (Not counting RE 7 Jack). Mr. X from RE 2 Remake is much better than Nemesis from RE 3 Remake. HT9: Can't comment, haven't seen it. HT 8: While I see where you're coming from, personally, I don't want her to die, especially now that Capcom started doing Remakes and forming new background stories for each character. Please, Capcom, don't let her die. HT 7: My no. 1 main character was, is and probably always will be Leon. RE 4 was my very first RE game that I played. All my time and enjoyment with the RE franchise started with a game starring Leon S. Kennedy. Yep, I might be biased. HT 6: TOTALLY agree. I would love it so much to be able to explore and survive through the Spencer Mansion (maybe with some new stuff added) in the new RE engine. Man, that would be so great! (I only played 2002 Remake) HT 5: Agreed, I liked Mother Miranda as a villain as well. HT 4: Agreed! It all feels so mich more smooth with the RE engine. Characters are so much better, specially Ashley. She's actually kinda cute when she's complimenting Leon on a difficult shot and such. HT 3: I can totally see where you're coming from. I really hope that Capcom sticks to her 'routine' they started with RE 2 Remake in any future games featuring her. In RE 4 original she didn't leave much of an impression on me, it was my first time seeing her, not knowing she played a role previously as well. Then I saw her in RE 6 and it was like in RE 4, she was there and I didn't get where Leon and her mutual interest in each other originated from. Then playing RE 2 Remake reshaped that picture I had of her, shaping it further with RE 4 Remake and the Separate Ways DLC. I don't know how I'd feel if Leon and her actually got together but I can say that she certainly became a very interesting character with the Remakes for me AND Leon deserves a break and maybe some romance in the future (If not Ada then maybe Claire?) HT 2: Agreed. I imagine it is difficult to create a co-op game that still makes the players feel alone and helpless and immensly threatened just the way single player does. HT 1: Haven't played RE 3 original. But listening to the fans who did, I can understand their anger. That being said, as someone who only played the Remake, I had loads of fun with it. I don't have any personal Hot Takes. But since this video was VERY interesting and entertaining to watch I wanted to share my thoughts on your Hot Takes with anyone intereseted. While I understand and respect your opinion on killing off Claire, I have 2 BIG reasons why that's a big no-no. 1) As George Lucas said in regards to killing off Han Solo back when he made Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi: "When you kill off a main character, it's like taking something away from the audience", that's why he opposed killing Han Solo off; killing Claire or ANY iconic established character for that matter would alienate the audience familiar with her. And 2) She STILL hasn't gotten closure over Steve Burnside; Code: Veronica was initially planned to be the first in a trilogy of games as that's why Wesker took Steve's body and made the remark that he might com back just as he did, even though Capcom abandoned the trilogy the fact that the implication is still up in the air yet hasn't been explored is why Claire needs to live so she can have a story centered on her search for Steve. Even if he is dead, she grew so close to him that he was the Jack Dawson to her Rose or the Kyle Reese to her Sarah Connor, she would want to find his body and give it the proper burial and if he's alive she'd want to save him. Now if ONLY Capcom would GIVE US THAT DARN STORY! Though I WILL say that IF a character MUST be killed off to further the story, it shouldn't be Claire, maybe Barry or Moira at the hands of the possessed Natalia and the story has Claire and whoever survived try to reach out to Natalia so she can resist Alex Wesker's influence. I do enjoy RE4 Remake more than the original as well, my only gripe with both is that they still don't FEEL like Resident Evil as 0 through Code: Veronica were telling a consistent story but then RE4 and RE4 Remake go in a radically different direction without wrapping up unanswered questions. CV ended with Chris telling Claire that they needed to destroy Umbrella, building up to the next game being and epic clash with Wesker still out there messing with Steve's body...Then the opening of RE4 says Umbrella collapsed off-screen due to stocks, LAME! And then Krauser contradicts this by saying what he does is for Umbrella. Then RE4 Remake has Luis say Umbrella's finished in a tone that seems vague as he's either referring to the original plan to kill off Umbrella off-screen or he's believing it despite the company still being operational. The new monsters and dropped plot threads in favor of a new radical direction are the one thing that keeps RE4 and RE4 Remake from being a true RE game. At the end of the day, it's a stand-alone RE wannabe IHMO. Regarding Ada, I feel her story SHOULD be consistent. She's based on Le Femme Nikita, a homeless woman who was in the wrong place at the wrong time is set up by an elite, top-secret counter-terrorism organization to be accused of murdering a police officer and sentenced to life in prison only to be secretly freed by the agency as they fake her suicide and offered a new life as one of their agents. Nikita is threatened with death if she doesn't cooperate and so she takes the job but she uses the skills they teach her in her efforts to do what they ask all the while plotting to use those skills to break free from them. That's basically WHO Ada SHOULD be IMO, someone doing a job for an agency that forced her into her line of work and Leon inspires her to fight back.
Great video, I agreed with a majority of it. Chris has always been cooler than leon to me also and part 1 does need a remake again. I want that done right now! I loved the 1st pluss its remake. To add as a personal wish I want billy cohen and sheva alamar to come back. Pluss my main man barry fn burton. He has always been my favorite. 0 would be a good remake too. Give charecters like dewey, speyers, sullivan, aiken and marini more in the story this time around. Maybe let one live on for future games like 9.
I feel you on the multiplayer in RE games, although I feel like it can be done right/well - looking at you Lost in Nightmares. You just really have to commit to the horror/survival horror part.
I absolutely agree on the last one and Chris one and I don't like Ada too. Chris from the beginning was a badass and a caring friend and with great behaviors . Leon was so humble in re2 but Capcom decided to completely change his behaviors and make him wild lile re4 and 6 or in series they made. And you made a video before about the best things RE remakes bring for us and two of them were new Jill amd Carlos. Re3r had so many bad things and I don't what was that nemesis compared to original but I can't ignore the fact that how much I love the new Carlos and how badass Jill was. They improved characters even Nicholai imo. Great video

About the hot take of Claire dying, i think she shouldn't be the one dying. I think that killing Chris would be better, maybe dying while saving Claire. Claire is underused character and i think killing her would be a terrible idea
1. Leon and Claire should be the overarching love story in times of horror with their respective jobs keeping them apart at times 2. RE3 Remake is amazing if you've never played the original which i have not 3. Carlos should return even in a spin off game 4. as someone who hasn't played many games Wesker and Chris are basic unknowns to me and they need to be developed more in the upcoming remakes as new players just dont really know them 5. In actuality I agree with a majority of them (: It's interesting that we have similar views on the series. For example I'm someone who played Resident Evil 4 so many times I adored that game It was my favorite for the longest time but guess what I still think the remake is better and it's not because of graphics. One of my biggest Resident Evil hot takes currently is I'm not a Leon and Ada shipper. I don't think them being in a relationship would be a good thing at all. I have nothing against people shipping them but me personally I don't see them working out in a good way

Claire shouldn't die, your reasons for supporting this idea are not solid. Claire has 0 connection with Jill, is not deeply connected to Leon, yeah they have some long-term friend and partnership, but not necessarily very developed, Chris is the only one who is directly connected with her from the true main cast and the only one to have meaningful connections with all the main characters, if there is someone that should die should be him.

Chris should absolutely be the character to die. Ever since 6 I’ve felt that way. When Wesker died, Chris’ main nemesis, and most interesting plot point was gone. Chris’ scenarios in all recent entries are basically all action, which seems to be a theme long time fans hate, and every entry we’ve gotten from him just felt like “oh hey here’s some Chris for you guys”. They could give him a meaningful death and call it good.

My biggest hot take would seem to be that RE6 is an amazing game. It's certainly got issues but as a game it's insanely fun with a buddy. I also like the different scenario's and the large cast of playable characters. Also has the best extra modes.
The arguments of it not being a "true" Resident Evil notwithstanding, I had a fun time with it. It has my favourite incarnation of the Mercenaries mode too

I agree with all your points except Chris being a better character than Leon. I know it will come down to preference, but for me, it's Leon all the way.
As for your take on Claire, I completely agree with you, BUT... before Claire dies, there is one thing CAPCOM ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to address.
You see, I have discovered (which nearly all other RE fans didn't for some strange reason) that after Code Veronica, there's something mentally wrong with Claire. This becomes especially true in Degeneration, where (by definition) Claire has a hallucination of all things, and says things like "I know what Leon would do" right after the hallucination. Things like this confused many so called Claire fans. My discovery is that I found the reason why.
CAPCOM has been telling this story in plain sight for a long time, in a way that goes over many Western audiences. The story is that even after 17 years (Death Island) Claire has NOT come to terms with Steve's death. This is because almost every single time she acts strange, it can be connected to Code Veronica and specifically to Steve.
If Claire dies in RE9, Capcom NEEDS to address whether or not she ever came to terms with Steve's death.

I didn't find her bad at all. It was a noticeable change in voice compared to RE2R. I prefer the RE2R actress, but I'm not opposed to RE4R's actress staying. So unless there's an actual lore reason for the difference (hey, could be a small possibility as they get closer to finishing up these remakes with RE6 down the line), I'd just like consistency with the voice actors. If a replacement HAS to happen, try to get as close as possible.

I disagree with what you said about Ada's character being inconsistent. I think her character is mostly consistent, and any inconsistency can be chalked up to character growth. She's an Anti-hero, she does bad things but she's not a bad person. Being a mercenary isn't inherently bad; she may not have been aware of the consequences of retrieving the g-virus. I also think her experience with Leon showed her that she might have been wrong about some things she'd done. I also think its pretty logical that if you learned that the person who hired you intends to use the thing you bring them to kill billions, that you would suddenly have a change of heart about continuing the mission. I think Ada is a selfish person but she learns to become selfless from Leon. I also think the simplification of her story in the remakes aligns with this train of thought better.
Also, hell yeah, RE3 remake is an excellent game, its just a poor remake of the original. I hate it when people completely overlook the game just because its not completely faithful to the original. I will say though, it definitely could have done with being longer though.

My counter arguments for:
3 - Claire's death: I feel like this would be a bad move simply because we haven't had much of Claire at all. We saw her escape Raccoon City with Leon and Sherry, in Rockfort Island with Steve trying to find Chris and in Sein Island with Moira trying to find out what's going on there. Unless they give her a lot to do in RE9 I feel like her death would end up being a let down.
5 - RE1R Again: While it would be nice to have the modern controls in the Spencer Mansion and finally having a canon ending, fans are in their right to be worried about it having cut-content and characters personality changes. One thing I've seen the Remakes do is divide the fanbase on which version of the characters they prefer and would like to see being used in the future.
6 - Miranda: I feel like she could've been better if we spent more time with her or just seen more with her.
8 - Ada:
Having played RE2 for the first time recently, I can say that Ada never took advantage of Leon, she never asked for his help and would go off on her own to do her job, Leon was the one that kept following her because he made it his mission to protect any civillians he could. When Leon takes a bullet for her, she feels guilty so even when she has the G-Virus in her hand, she still goes back to save Leon from Mr. X and gets "killed" for it. She manages to save Leon and she still has the G-Virus so she still finishes her job. RE4 pretty much does the same thing but cranks up her sassiness.
Remake Ada does actually manipulate Leon into helping her by recruiting him to go with her and asking for his help to retrieve the G-Virus sample. Not to mention their interactions feel more "aggressive" (might not be the best word) and less emotional in comparision to the original.

Less hot with me. I actually liked Piers and if you change their places, it'll be a perfect way to close Chris' arc in that game.
However, if they do have more things prepared for him then it was a good decision to keep him alive.

Here are some of my spiciest takes:
* RE5 is one of the best RE games. (And better than OG RE4 imo)
* Ethan Winters is an amazing protagonist.
* The new Jill Valentine is one of the best versions of the characters.
* It never would have made sense for RE7 and Village to be disconnected from the franchise.
* Resident Evil never had a good story. It's all about lore building.
* RE4 remake Leon is easily the best version of the character.
* Code Veronica is the most overrated game in the franchise.
* There are no bad RE mainline entries.
* Helena Harper is one of the worst characters in the franchise.
* Revelations 1 is the only RE game that bored me to death so far.
* RE Village is one of the best and apparently most underappreciated game in the franchise. I know it's not scary like RE7, but so isn't RE4 compared to the OG trilogy.
* Mr. X is the most overrated stalker and a downgrade compared to Jack Baker.
* Speaking of which, Jack Baker is the best modern stalker. Simple reason is because he actually catches up to you.

Those are some hot takes. I agree with 5 over 4. I personally liked Revelations and it was a good handheld game imo. I felt nothing with 7 Ethan, tho he improved in Village as a character. I believe Code Veronica is a cold take as from my POV, the fandom seems to think it's got more jank and soft lock issues than other old school Resi games. I see it complained about as much as zero when it comes to quality of life and secondary protagonists. I like both Mr X and Jack for different reasons so I can see why you prefer Jack. You're right on lore over story. There have been better side characters than Helena, so I agree.
I think RE Village is underrated in the scares department, scarier than it's given credit for. More than the Beneviento section. That's probably my hot take.

My personal hot take would be Resident Evil 3 Original being a better game than RE 1+2. And that‘s because it’s much more rounder. RE 1+2 always lose 50% of their atmosphere when you leave the main locations. The mine and lab are nothing compared to the mansion and so are the sewers and lab compared to the RPD.
Resident Evil 3 Original is able to keep its vibe from the beginning to the end without losing atmosphere, thrill or any of its charm
My hot take was the same as yours, they should remake Resident Evil 1 or 0 then go to Code Veronica and 5 bc new fans seeing Wesker in RE 4 had no idea who he was.
I agree however as someone who came to RE from DBD I knew that Wesker exists and watched some stuff about him on YT long ago before he showed up in RE4R. I believe that a new RE1R should be mandatory right now so even new players can experience the story from the beginning.

Lady Dimestru isn't that attractive and is absolutely overrated! Yeah! I said it! Don't get me wrong her chase sequences and boss fight were fine but I just don't see why people really love her (well actually I do). There's much more better female characters in the resident evil series. Much more.

Honestly bro your Claire should die take doesn't make any sense. Chris's death would have the most impact especially since he was originally supposed to die in 6 anyways. He's been overused and his character arc was finished a long time ago.
My opinion is chris should die, rebecca should come back and jill and Claire should be the main characters. Jill and Claire's character arcs could use so much more development, and I'd love to see Rebecca come back as that as she's been under utilized too

I think in regards to Ada, they are trying to make her more of the hero than an anti hero. RE6 is a good example of this. She does the right thing and from then on the RE 2 remake (she could of shot Leon and not helped him with the rocket launder) and RE 4 remake (she saved Luis and helped Leon) she’s more aware and has a conscious. Inconsistent in the past yes I agree but I would say she’s more of a hero now thanks to the remakes .

My biggest hot take is that resident Evil Village is the best game in the franchise. I will defend this game until I day. It definitely has some problems, my biggest problem with the game is the replay ability, since the section with Donna is really boring (it is boring only when you replay it a lot and know exactly what to do), because you have to solve that puzzle over and over again when you replay it, but other than that, I love everything about it

Hot take: Separate Ways in the RE4 Remake is the better than the base game campaign.
I'm not a super RE experienced player to have a hot take necessarily, but here's at least 3.
1. I kinda prefer to have a different main character in RE9.
Chris, Jill, Leon & Claire have had at least 3 separate appearances in the series, which is more than Rebecca and Barry, who I would honestly want to follow in a game for a change. Hell, I would gladly even take up, Sheva, Carlos or Billy as a main character. Likely not a popular opinion, but it's honest.
2. I'm up for introducing a new character. They did it with Ethan Winters and Jake Muller, I'm sure Capcom can get away with at least one more.
3. I don't hate RE0. I get the obvious problems. I definitely could see some improvements, but I just can't help but like it. It was the first RE game I ever played (please do NOT attack me for this) and I'd say it has the most potential for a remake right now. Fixing up the story, gameplay and item management. But, techincal annoyances aside, the only thing I didn't like was Marcus. Not the idea, but the execution. It's way too Final Fantasy looking and I'm not a fan of early RE cheesy dialogue. I'd say Marcus was improved a bit in Umbrella Chronicles.
So yeah, those are 3 hit takes of mine, an inexperienced player of the series. If you don't agree, fine.
But if you're gonna turn it into a debate or whatever, then sue me.

RE 1 would be dope if they allowed toy play through eyes of both alpha and bravo team perspective. Also, be nice to get the prequel of the grizzly murders that happened outside the mansion
Mercenaries 3ds is the best version if they just ported to console and touch it up and added more characters.
Alex Wesker could easily be a villain for a side series that isn't Revelations.
The reason why multiplayer games don't work in RE is because Capcom half ass the games in the first place and then update them a couple times before abandoning them. A multiplayer game could totally work if they don't trend chase the RE games dressed like esports shooter or fortnite/DBD.
I'd prefer a second Sheva game over a second Rebecca or Barry game. Would love to see her take main stage and partner with any of the 4 mains.

I agree with you about Chris, it's not even a matter of opinion, it's a fact that he is the main protagonist of the series, he was one of those responsible for taking down the umbrella, He founded BSAA, killed Albert Wesker and stopped the Uroboros from killing all of humanity, he is literally a superhero, but unfortunately few see this, we know that Leon is Capcom's golden boy And we love him, but it's a fact that Chris is the main protagonist of the franchise and the most important of all, but the saga has so many fans and from so many different generations That most people don't really know the story of Resident Evil
My hot take: claire and jill are equals in the same ways as leon and chris. I believe both are important to the story and can stalemate each other in hand to hand combat
Claire? Stand toe to toe with Jill and best her in hand to hand combat? That is indeed a hot take.
In RE2 and CV, Claire isn't even a trained officer or agent. She's just a regular person, which compared to Chris, Leon, and Jill, makes her the least qualified to be able to survive. Let's be honest here, of all the main characters, Claire has THE most plot armor. She isn't a part of a counter bioterrorism group until Revelations 2, which turns out to not even be her brother's group, which I'd say is a pretty big indication that even though she has some actual training now, she's still not on the same level as Chris, Jill, or Leon.
If a writer is trying to go for a shocking and emotionally impactful death in a story, killing the most tenured characters likely aren't going to have the maximum effect. That takes out Chris and Jill, although Jill's death would have much more impact than Chris or Leon due to Jill having one of the roughest arcs out of everyone imo. But more impactful than Jill would be Claire because out of the four, she's pretty much the heart. She's extremely well liked, she has those regular person roots that I mentioned, which is why people connected with her to begin with, and even though she hasn't been through as much as Jill, she's more mentally wore down than Jill is, which again, is due to her starting her journey in this story as a regular person, the least qualified person, an underdog, that manages to find a way due to her determination and her natural good heart.
So yeah, of the 4, if one HAS to die to make a huge impact that will be felt by the others, either through whatever personal relationship they had with her or through their personal relationship with Chris, Claire is the only one that would be able to have that kind of impact. Chris, Jill, and Leon all chose a life of serving and protecting before getting mixed up with Umbrella. Claire just wanted to find her brother, meaning this life she finds herself in now chose her. That only serves to add yet another layer of tragedy to her death.
The fact that many people are vehemently against the idea of her dying proves she's practically the only choice for a very emotionally impactful death. If a story just kills the person that the majority of people are okay with dying (Chris), that's when things can become forced as the people aren't as emotionally connected to that character as the story likely has to force the affected characters into being as a reaction.
Chris dying would be huge, yes, but the best way to go about a death with him is a soldier's death. Characters would be saddened, but ultimately accepting of it and would push forward and continue the fight he was fighting in his honor. Jill's would have more impact because of everything she's been through, but the most affected character would be Chris. Leon's death would be treated the same as Chris' death in story, but fans would absolutely revolt as their connection with Leon is way different from Leon's connection with the other characters outside of Ada. Bro has been a huge simp for her since day 1. But with everyone else, he just doesn't have that same type of connection. But the fans have that connection with him, so there would be a huge disconnect between character reactions and fan reactions to Leon dying, making his death not only unneeded but a very high risk.
But Claire would have the same impact emotionally with fans and the other characters because of her backstory, how she got into this life not by choice but by force and survival, and how that forced choice ultimately wore her down mentally and killed her in the end.
@SpaghettiYOLOKing as much as I hate to say it... Barry. He's my favorite of the protags, but he's also the oldest. Have him die of age, have Chris actually retire (think more like Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond), and let either Jill or someone else take the lead.

I disagree with the idea that Claire needs to die. Narratively speaking, you should kill main characters only when absolutely necessary; killing them just to raise the stakes or something it's such a lazy solution/trope.
There's no doubt that the series should do something with its characters. The main core ones are just too old (though there's the weird situation with Jill) and they should progressively retire while others should be brought back in order to expand their stories and roles within the story (e.g., Sheva, Jake, Jessica or Carlos just to name a few)
I disagree on Welcome to Racoon City. It hates on Leon on every opportunity making him look pathetic and for some reason makes Redfields into adoptive children of William Birkin...

Jill is my favorite RE character since the first game (played it back in 1997). One of the only good things in RE 3 remake is her model. What a beautiful character. They nailed it. Maybe she's the prettiest character ever made for a videogame, and i'm not saying it as a fanboy. And yeah, as an og RE fan i'm still disappointed with 3 remake. My hype was so high that i pre ordered the game as RE 3 Nemesis is one of my favorites of the franchise. The game is not bad, but as a RE 3 it's horrible.
My biggest take is that re 4 is conpletely pointless because saddler had already infected ashley by the time leon got there so if he had just let them leave then he would've won. That also makes him in my opinion the worst re villain we have ever had.
Well he did say that he wanted to keep Leon as a puppet and maybe used Ashley as bait to lure him in . In the remake however he wanted to kill Leon but instead of breaking his neck , he just leaves when they first met .

It was thanks to Ada that Leon and Ashley barely survived and it was thanks to Luis , that Ada was there in the first place because he send an e-mail that Ada found out about .
The game has many hidden details , that's what makes it so great .
I love the OG RE4. When I played through it again, about 3 years ago, I found myself loving it but also getting frustrated with a lot of the game mechanics. It’s still a classic and should be hanging in a museum, but I think I also prefer the remake. The story flows better. The side characters actually have depth. Leon is somehow an even bigger badass, and I thought Separate Ways tied in really well with the updated narrative.
I still believe in the theory that RE7 Chris is not our Chris but someone acting like him.
I think it would be better of zero got remade first and then remake 1 so that theres no continuity issues like there are with current zero and remake.
Believe it or not, I'm on your side for the RE 3 remake. It reminds me a lot of Dracula: Dead and Loving It or David Bowie's Tonight album - not their A-game, but work I visit a lot
10: Yeah, Mr.X has that horror aspect and does it well. However you can’t really compare the two because one chases you in a building and another chases you through a whole city. One was programmed to be more aggressive than the other and have separate roles.

About hot take number 10, I have to agree with you on that one. Mr X in the RE2 remake is absolutely freaking terrifying, especially in the R.P.D. station. When he's walking around looking all over for us, his footsteps seem to echo and it can throw you off kilter because you can't tell where he is in the station. You think you're in the clear........only to run right into the hulking tyrant and have to run in the opposite direction. They did an incredible job with this character.
RE3 remake is missing the gore from 2 far as bullet wounds zombies face. Nemesis was lame and the side characters was far better but it’s missing so much of raccoon city and it’s missing the factory and clock tower.
My hot take is Re5 is still the best in the series...it's just og re4 with better gameplay a better main villain a better protagonist (imo) and a much better gameplay loop anyone who complains about shevas ai dosent understand peak Sheva is a walking ammo bag for you
Chris over Leon 😂 Chris gets sent in with a team and comes back alone, Leon gets sent in alone and comes out with friends. To each his own but I think Leon takes it myself.

Claire dying from a BSAA BOW would make Chris’s motivation in stopping them a lot more believable and personal. We can even have Chris and Leon team up to stop BSAA. Claire is also extremely important to Leon also.

Rebecca needs another game. She has a LOT of untapped potential, and Zero wasn't that great a vehicle for her. Give her a story that lets her really shine.
My personal hot take is that RE0 was a good game (aside from the hookshot) and yes it could benefit from a remake, but I think it is still pretty good as is.

I agree with you, Ruben. Except for the Mr. X being better than original Nemesis and Ada. I get what you were saying for both but from my attempts at playing these games Nemesis creeped me out more, and then there's the watching aspect of it, still Nemesis won. With Ada with the remakes. In RE2 she was a hardcore mercenary until she met Leon. Leon wasn't the only one that fell in love that night. Then in Separate ways her narrative she had regret for how she treated Leon and her hand in many people dying. By the end of the dlc she made up her mind that she wasn't gonna be a part of that again.
Nemesis was the better stalker. He could run and chase you through doors.
I think Claire should not die l think if she loses her memory like Chris in RE6 because in every RE game we play Claire always like her brother like Rev2 the enemy was someone his name was Wasker and the protagonist was selfish and want to find someone who loves and partner was helping his friend to find Jill or Neil even if he doesn’t agree with him

Resident Evil 4 is good game, but overrated at the same time and fandom's only big defence from any critique for it as I see is that it revolutionized survival horror, which doesn't mean it's the best game ever made...
I don't think no character should die, but If I had to choose, I probably would choose either Chris or Leon.
Mr X in RE2 Remake is kinda lame imo! After initially coming face to face with him i rarely encounter him again until as claire hes scripted to die to Birkin or when hes mutated to his super form when playing as Leon!
On a side note it was rumoured that RE9 would have Leon & Chris as the main chars and that one of them is going to die!

Before starting my comment, I need to say that I haven't played quite a number of RE games like original RE 1, 2 and 3, no Revelation game and not RE: CV.
So, I cannot comment on all 10 Hot Takes. Here are my thoughts:
HT 10: I only played RE 2 and 3 Remake, so I can't compare Mr. X to the original Mr. X and Nemesis. (Not counting RE 7 Jack). Mr. X from RE 2 Remake is much better than Nemesis from RE 3 Remake.
HT9: Can't comment, haven't seen it.
HT 8: While I see where you're coming from, personally, I don't want her to die, especially now that Capcom started doing Remakes and forming new background stories for each character. Please, Capcom, don't let her die.
HT 7: My no. 1 main character was, is and probably always will be Leon. RE 4 was my very first RE game that I played. All my time and enjoyment with the RE franchise started with a game starring Leon S. Kennedy. Yep, I might be biased.
HT 6: TOTALLY agree. I would love it so much to be able to explore and survive through the Spencer Mansion (maybe with some new stuff added) in the new RE engine. Man, that would be so great! (I only played 2002 Remake)
HT 5: Agreed, I liked Mother Miranda as a villain as well.
HT 4: Agreed! It all feels so mich more smooth with the RE engine. Characters are so much better, specially Ashley. She's actually kinda cute when she's complimenting Leon on a difficult shot and such.
HT 3: I can totally see where you're coming from. I really hope that Capcom sticks to her 'routine' they started with RE 2 Remake in any future games featuring her. In RE 4 original she didn't leave much of an impression on me, it was my first time seeing her, not knowing she played a role previously as well. Then I saw her in RE 6 and it was like in RE 4, she was there and I didn't get where Leon and her mutual interest in each other originated from. Then playing RE 2 Remake reshaped that picture I had of her, shaping it further with RE 4 Remake and the Separate Ways DLC. I don't know how I'd feel if Leon and her actually got together but I can say that she certainly became a very interesting character with the Remakes for me AND Leon deserves a break and maybe some romance in the future (If not Ada then maybe Claire?)
HT 2: Agreed. I imagine it is difficult to create a co-op game that still makes the players feel alone and helpless and immensly threatened just the way single player does.
HT 1: Haven't played RE 3 original. But listening to the fans who did, I can understand their anger. That being said, as someone who only played the Remake, I had loads of fun with it.
I don't have any personal Hot Takes. But since this video was VERY interesting and entertaining to watch I wanted to share my thoughts on your Hot Takes with anyone intereseted.

i agree with almost everything (outside the re4 remake take and the coop)
While I understand and respect your opinion on killing off Claire, I have 2 BIG reasons why that's a big no-no. 1) As George Lucas said in regards to killing off Han Solo back when he made Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi: "When you kill off a main character, it's like taking something away from the audience", that's why he opposed killing Han Solo off; killing Claire or ANY iconic established character for that matter would alienate the audience familiar with her. And 2) She STILL hasn't gotten closure over Steve Burnside; Code: Veronica was initially planned to be the first in a trilogy of games as that's why Wesker took Steve's body and made the remark that he might com back just as he did, even though Capcom abandoned the trilogy the fact that the implication is still up in the air yet hasn't been explored is why Claire needs to live so she can have a story centered on her search for Steve. Even if he is dead, she grew so close to him that he was the Jack Dawson to her Rose or the Kyle Reese to her Sarah Connor, she would want to find his body and give it the proper burial and if he's alive she'd want to save him. Now if ONLY Capcom would GIVE US THAT DARN STORY!
Though I WILL say that IF a character MUST be killed off to further the story, it shouldn't be Claire, maybe Barry or Moira at the hands of the possessed Natalia and the story has Claire and whoever survived try to reach out to Natalia so she can resist Alex Wesker's influence.
I do enjoy RE4 Remake more than the original as well, my only gripe with both is that they still don't FEEL like Resident Evil as 0 through Code: Veronica were telling a consistent story but then RE4 and RE4 Remake go in a radically different direction without wrapping up unanswered questions. CV ended with Chris telling Claire that they needed to destroy Umbrella, building up to the next game being and epic clash with Wesker still out there messing with Steve's body...Then the opening of RE4 says Umbrella collapsed off-screen due to stocks, LAME! And then Krauser contradicts this by saying what he does is for Umbrella. Then RE4 Remake has Luis say Umbrella's finished in a tone that seems vague as he's either referring to the original plan to kill off Umbrella off-screen or he's believing it despite the company still being operational. The new monsters and dropped plot threads in favor of a new radical direction are the one thing that keeps RE4 and RE4 Remake from being a true RE game. At the end of the day, it's a stand-alone RE wannabe IHMO.
Regarding Ada, I feel her story SHOULD be consistent. She's based on Le Femme Nikita, a homeless woman who was in the wrong place at the wrong time is set up by an elite, top-secret counter-terrorism organization to be accused of murdering a police officer and sentenced to life in prison only to be secretly freed by the agency as they fake her suicide and offered a new life as one of their agents. Nikita is threatened with death if she doesn't cooperate and so she takes the job but she uses the skills they teach her in her efforts to do what they ask all the while plotting to use those skills to break free from them. That's basically WHO Ada SHOULD be IMO, someone doing a job for an agency that forced her into her line of work and Leon inspires her to fight back.
Great video, I agreed with a majority of it. Chris has always been cooler than leon to me also and part 1 does need a remake again. I want that done right now! I loved the 1st pluss its remake. To add as a personal wish I want billy cohen and sheva alamar to come back. Pluss my main man barry fn burton. He has always been my favorite. 0 would be a good remake too. Give charecters like dewey, speyers, sullivan, aiken and marini more in the story this time around. Maybe let one live on for future games like 9.

I feel you on the multiplayer in RE games, although I feel like it can be done right/well - looking at you Lost in Nightmares. You just really have to commit to the horror/survival horror part.
I absolutely agree on the last one and Chris one and I don't like Ada too. Chris from the beginning was a badass and a caring friend and with great behaviors . Leon was so humble in re2 but Capcom decided to completely change his behaviors and make him wild lile re4 and 6 or in series they made. And you made a video before about the best things RE remakes bring for us and two of them were new Jill amd Carlos. Re3r had so many bad things and I don't what was that nemesis compared to original but I can't ignore the fact that how much I love the new Carlos and how badass Jill was. They improved characters even Nicholai imo. Great video

Resident Evil 4 Remake is better than the original; I enjoy playing RE4 Remake along with Ashley Graham that she’s useful and less annoying.
Mother Miranda is part of Resident Evil connections that she works for Spencer and she’s the connections of Eveline experience.
Strongly Disagreed: Claire’s death; for someone is a fan of Claire is gotta be upset and never play Resident Evil ever.

Remaking Resident Evil 1 again; don’t get me wrong for reason, I like the Classic Resident Evil Remake 2002 the way it is. It’s scary, claustrophobic, and survivalist.
Ada Wong, she may be a toying with Leon throughout the games. But, Ada is still the best to play with her because she has grappling gun that she can access new areas that other characters can’t access because they don’t have grappling gun but Ada.
CO-OPs, I usually never play co-ops with anyone since I’m a solo alone player, but come on everyone loves co-ops to play other players. The only I want to change is fixing CO-OPs ai character for solo players.
Resident Evil 3 Remake, well unfortunately none of players replayed that it was short, rushed, and things got cut out from the original game like Barry Burton ending to save Jill and Carlos.

Thank you! I actually liked most of Welcome to Raccoon City. It totally fell apart for me in the 3rd act, but the first hour plus was very enjoyable.
1. Leon and Claire should be the overarching love story in times of horror with their respective jobs keeping them apart at times
2. RE3 Remake is amazing if you've never played the original which i have not
3. Carlos should return even in a spin off game
4. as someone who hasn't played many games Wesker and Chris are basic unknowns to me and they need to be developed more in the upcoming remakes as new players just dont really know them
5. Hunk should keep having side stories in the remakes showing him in the locations and fighting through as an objective
6. co-op horror can work such as dead space 3 but RE needs to work on it if they want to go that angle

For example I'm someone who played Resident Evil 4 so many times I adored that game It was my favorite for the longest time but guess what I still think the remake is better and it's not because of graphics.
