Its a fabulous little synth, also the pro vs, i got mine together when they first dropped on sale, highly recommend the pro vs if you haven't got one yet
@@3dims I also have the Pro VS, only one for my right or left hand, for the other hand I love to use my old Korg Wavestation! This pair of Synthesizers are like good old Brothers! Very fine Sound!
@@texacomann Nice. It's a definite maybe for me, however I do really like the look of the Behringer Edge. Can't get any new gear for a little while, so I'll mull things over... Be interested to hear if there's anything else you'd like me to have a go making a video about. 🍻
Nice little synth. I use it with MPC One where you can use the USB. I think it can produce even stronger sound, maybe use all voices and add some low octave maybe? Thanks for this demo!
@@3dims the jp4000s gives me a simular synth like a multitimbral Synthesizer. I have 3 Single outputs, and 4 Voices each. Most time I use 1 for left hand and 1 or 2 for my right Hand. I case of 2 I Pan hard right and left or sometimes I am just stacking the sounds without planning. The Jp4000 has a very good sound, from poor little whispering to fat supersaw, everything is possible. All in all, the sum of the bill for 3x synths was less than 150 bucks 🤣🤣🤣that's worth the fun!
I’ve been gradually buying hardware to replace each synth module in U-He Diva, and this looks like it would fit the bill for the digital oscillator module. I know people are not happy about the lack of midi in, but I would use this mostly with Logic so I don’t see a problem personally. That said, it might have made more sense to charge 20 bucks more and have a midi in. Appreciate your showcase here.
Cheers Paul, glad you approve. I suspect dedicated MIDI In was left out to upsell folk to the Pro-VS Mini. Also it does prove to be a contentious point which gets people talking.
Behringer seem to have lost the plot with these mini synths. Too small to be useful as a standalone, and then the lack of MIDI IN makes it next to useless. Basically just toys like the pocket operators. Seems an odd business choice, given how much the originals sell for on eBay - OK, it's entry level cheap, but why not built a proper sized one that's usable.
I was expecting not to get on with the JT-4000 but found it's a lot more fun than the £45 price tag warrants. I purchased mine on a whim and genuinely glad I've got it. I use Midi over USB a lot with Ableton Live, so for me, the lack of dedicated Midi In is not a deal breaker. That said, if I was in the market for a low cost polyphonic box with dedicated Midi In, then I'd now look at the PRO-VS MIni.
lack of MIDI IN Is huge disappointment .. makes is basically unusable for use with other HW gear in dawless setup, and use it with computer makes zero sense
I believe you can split the midi and and power via a nifty little adapter - not tried yet. I personally use hardware with a computer a lot of the time as this is my preferred workflow for making tunes - each to their own I guess...
Nah, any dawless HW gear that has USB midi will work just fine. Take NI Maschine+, OXI Instruments ONE etc etc. Plenty of midi sequencers and other controllers alike that have USB midi. But yes, agreed, it's very limited when it comes to inputs/outputs. On the upside: you can power and control it even from your smartphone or tablet!

Thanks for the heads up. Haven’t got a Pro-VS but I think it’s going on the wish list.

Thanks for the note. Didn’t know the MPC One can control over USB.
I got 3x of it to play with both hands or make it stereo, because its mono.... ❤But not anymore❤❤❤
Cool plan. I’m guessing you’d have them on the same midi channel and either make a massive sound or pan left / right.

How much juicier is the sound against the Diva..?
Sounds kinda horrendous
That’s the plan 🤣
Can it process external sound? What kind of output connectors does it have?
No input for processing I’m afraid. Output is headphones…. Gotta remember the price tag.
Is that what Northern techno sounds like?
Midlands
Sorry, honestly I can't tell if the midi is skipping or the jam you made just sounds bad. Sorry.
Perhaps over cooked the beat repeat.
Thanks Vlad... still laughing.
It’s better than the high-pitch blip blip crap these bald, four-eyed, middle-aged geeks showcase on UA-cam.

Just use a external keyboard controller. Very easy to do . Some effect pedals can also help.
i wouldnt buy hardware just to use it with a daw
Fair enough. I tend to make tracks in a DAW and have different gear for jamming - modular / grooveboxes etc...
Don't be so ridiculous, it makes perfect sense to use a daw with ANY hardware 😂
That's a shame bro. Even real terrible computers make great midi brains for running a whole studio off. Why limit urself

It's bobbins.
Inexpensive and useful - yeah, just like bobbins 🧵
