    I realize this video may be controversial for some - Now, before a bunch of you comment here with things like "If she's a cheater, leave her!", keep in mind that this video is meant for people in long-term relationships or marriages (with children, etc...) where simply leaving may be difficult. So if you want to simply leave, you're free to do so, you don't need to watch this video for someone to tell you that.
    In addition to that, I have worked with hundreds of clients who, instead of placing blame on their partners for cheating, chose to look within and see what can be improved about themselves. They never regret this journey of humility and self-introspection. ua-cam.com/play/PLQ8tvyhQlPzsNm-vC_g_8SWGcJRngefgU.html
    And as mentioned in the video, the problem that I see with a lot of cases is that people tend to fall into the trap of grading their own homework - basically telling themselves prematurely that they are alpha, the best version of themselves, and a 100% catch. But in reality, they are far from it…
    So this video is meant for those who choose to be humble, who choose to look within, and who choose to continue to seek to be their best version. It’s meant for those who choose to avoid playing the blame game, and simply place labels on their partner (Negative behaviors that causes terrible cycles in relationships).
    If this is you, I hope you find much value from this video!

    Geoffrey, you helped me to see how my behaviors allowed for an environment where my wife found limerance with someone else. I have acknowledged that and expressed forgiveness and understanding to my spouse that is real. However much I understand though, I continue to struggle with the hurt it causes and knowing she has secrets that I don’t want to know but can’t help thinking about. Do you have any advice for getting past this?

      @@GeoffreySetiawanI know you don’t always agree with no contact but I’ve heard some of your clients say they was in no contact for 6 months. My question is my ex of 14 years 1 kid is in a rebound and I feel I’ve internally shifted with emotional maturity and intelligence. Also with a bulletproof vest, I’ve 💯 accepted my faults in creating an environment where she felt it was hopeless but if you m honest I’m struggling with the untethering! So I feel no contact is beneficial for myself and as she said she wants to be left alone to crash n burn herself! But I know she’d like talk on the phone if I rang or even talk to me in person if I choose to. Would going no contact until untether from the outcome stop me being able to have these contacts with her in the future?

    • @GeoffreySetiawan
      @GeoffreySetiawan  Рік тому +1

      @@remyd1984 No. Untethering is not about indifference, it is about shifting your focus 100% from circumstances to processes.

      @@GeoffreySetiawan thank you 🙏🏻 watched David’s story and understand more about the process of letting go! While becoming the best person she knows! Think I was struggling with this concept because the guy she’s meant turns out to be an ex crackhead of only 1 year, had his kid taken away from him and also his ex girlfriends kids taken away by social services. He’s literally got nothing but I understood he’s providing her with something I destroyed in our relationship! Again thanks for the hard work and videos you provide us with

    @GeoffreySetiawan This is great advice. But I think it does ignore the fact that the wife may have some deficiencies or flaws (self-esteem, narcissism). What happens if you're wife's flaws are such that anytime there is any challenge in the relationship she will look outside the relationship for hippieness, rather than being forthright about an issue and discussing in a healthy way?

    My wife has had an extra marital affair for at least a month, probably longer.
    She has lied to keep it hidden, and it’s reached a point to where in our kids are aware.
    I’ve been doing everything I can to better myself. I’ve lost 50 pounds, drops three pant sizes. I’ve been going to a therapist for the last two months. My behavior and demeanor have changed. I’ve started going back to church to heal, spiritually. And despite all my effort, she seems to be MORE resentful because I’m making progress now. What do I do? Please help.

    Hmmm great video! I've been trying ofcourse but like u said I feel she has one foot out the door. My wife also cheated which she told me about it and it's basically an affair cuz she's been in contact with this guy for about 10 months now. I'm starting to feel like I should step back and have some self respect or myself and say as long as she's in contact with this dude I'm not going to allow her to keep having her came and eating it too because she's apologized a few times but if you're still in contact with him how sorry are you truly. What do you say to that Geoffrey??

    • @GeoffreySetiawan
      @GeoffreySetiawan  2 роки тому +1

      Hi illWillOfficial,
      The first thing that I teach my clients is that no situation is really that unique. Our partners having one foot out the door is usually the case. I will link todays video to show you exactly what my clients must master in order to have their partner want to reconsider the relations again.

    I don't think in general people can overcome infidelity they're going to subconsciously despise the other person and that resentment will continue to trickle in that relationship so for most, it's probably best just to let go, but I guess if you want to save your marriage, this is good advice

    I believe there will be an epiphany at a point where an individual that is constantly growing will look back and realize that their partner had an affair with their old version of themselves but won’t have an affair with the new version once that individual reaches a certain growth height

      Yes! Creating and building safety is something that is applicable on every human level. Male, Female, Lesbian, Strait, Rich, Poor, Etc. At our very basic level, we all want safety and trust to be able to express ourselves without fear and judgement.
