The fact that Nate said he wants to learn another language when he can barely get through the comments is one of many reasons I love this podcast.

I’m a mailman that leaves for Rome in 2 weeks. The past few episodes, air travel, art and now, mail. I’m starting to feel like you’re talking directly to me… very weird but awesome. If you do the state of Ohio next or the Marines, I’m gonna lose it. Lol

LOVED it when the guys were talking about going to space and how we’d assemble the capsules there. Then Nate quietly and casually says, “Like IKEA.” That completely tickled me and was one of the more underrated laughs of this episode!

My wife was so upset when a housing development went up next to us called “Peasant’s Landing.” She calmed down after I explained that it was pronounced “PHEASANT’S Landing,” which also helped explain the picture of the bird on the sign. Thanks for reminding me of this with your peasant / pheasant mix up.

This was CHOCK full of knowledge nuggets. From learning the postal service is not tax funded, that mail boxes aren't required, and ZIP is an acronym, to name a few. I gotta say this episode really delivered!

Long time listener, first time commenter! My husband and I watched Nate on The Standups back when we first started dating. We became huge fans and went to see him at Cobb Energy Center for my husband’s birthday. The moment we figured out about Nateland, we were obsessed. We dated long distance and would watch the podcast together over FaceTime. I introduced my mom to Leanne Morgan’s standup after seeing her on the podcast. My mom, my aunt, and I went to her show in Detroit. It was the hardest my mom has ever laughed. My husband is now the biggest Dusty Slay fan and loves to make everyone he knows watch his UA-cam clips. We are seeing Dusty in Atlanta and are going to see Leanne in April!! We are waiting for Brian and Aaron to come through Atlanta! Thanks for all the laughs and introducing us to great, clean comedians!! Goodbye, folks!

When Brian said the part about not having a mail box hit me right in the feels. Me and my wife were basically forced to move out of our apartment because of rent increase and lowsy maintenance. We spent the last 5 months in that apartment without a mailbox along with about 30 other residents. We all made numerous complaints to management and still to this day there are no mailboxes. Its a mystery what even happened to them in the first place, one day we have a mailbox then the next day we don't.
Love the podcast you guys are great!!!, hope to see all 3 of you sometime whenever you come through Oklahoma City area.

Hello Nate, Aaron, Dusty and Buckaroo! I’m probably about a year behind trying to catch up on the podcast (just finished watching the oceans episode) but I had to jump here. My fiancé got me and her tickets to one of Nate’s tour stops in march. We live in Delaware and when she bought the tickets she only ready Pennsylvania and figured it was in Philadelphia…. When I opened them Christmas Day, she then realized that it was, in fact, in Pittsburgh…. About a 6 hour drive instead of an hour. Excited to see the show and love the podcast, even if still struggling to catch up

When Martin Short’s character get stung by a bee, it’s pretty funny. There was an episode of Seinfeld where Elaine and Jerry are going on a plane somewhere and Jerry gives the guy a tip so the guy puts his luggage on the correct plane. Elaine complains that the guy doesn’t need a tip and her luggage goes elsewhere. The episode ends with Elaine’s luggage on an empty turn style going around and around.

Me, again, in Montana. When my family and I moved here almost 3 years ago, my SIL wanted to be a mailman like his father was. They had an opening because someone quit so they could watch the Super Bowl. It was winter. Snow, freezing cold. My SIL lost 17 lbs. in 3 weeks delivering mail. As he was driving the mail truck through an intersection in a quiet neighborhood, a very large woman on a bicycle gently ran into the side of the mail truck. She went down and complained she was injured; he called the proper authorities. No surprise it was deemed to be his fault. Soon after, he gave notice after being told he had poor attendance due to the 3 days unpaid leave he was granted to move his family into their home.

In Pennsylvania, the Dauphin County courthouse (built in 1942) bears the names of each and every municipality in the county on the outside of the building except for one. That town was founded in 1818 as "Snydertown" and was later incorporated under the name "Uniontown." However, when the town got its first post office, those names had already been taken. So, a postal official decided to use "Pillow" as the town's substitute name. In 1965, the residents voted to officially change the town's name to Pillow, and that's the name missing from the courthouse.

So, I live in Montana...kinda reminds me of California in the '60's. I ordered a tablet from HSN and it was coming UPS. I received a notice that it was delivered and handed to the resident. No it wasn't, I wasn't holding it in my hand. Having a somewhat short fuse with someone accepting my package, I got in my car and drove to the address where it was delivered. The address was a rinky dink post office in town. I waited in line and when it was my turn I explained the situation. I was told the USPS and UPS get along well, and the mailman would be delivering my package in a couple of days. I did not know this was even legal.

When Aaron pledged his allegiance to Southwest, the thought crossed my mind if that will change if he ever has kids. If he ever has to sit separately from his 3 year old, I figured he would turn his back on Southwest in a second. However, we now know that he thinks you can put a 1 year old on a plane, or in the back seat of a strangers Uber for a cross country cruiser alone. So no, I think it's safe to assume that Aaron's devotion will run deep no matter what.

A few years ago I was talking to someone at church when we heard a loud knock on the front doors. We opened them and a messenger pigeon was on the steps. It had flown right into the big wooden doors and was stunned. I knew it was a messenger pigeon because It had a little tube on its leg where the message goes (I don’t want to brag but I know about birds). We were also stunned, and before I could grab it to read the message, it recovered and flew away. I lie awake at night wondering what the message was, why someone would choose a pigeon to send it, and if it was ever delivered. Not the most efficient system.

The Post Office doesn't only handle shipping letters and packages, you can also go there to apply for a passport. I took my daughter to apply for hers and because she was under the age of 16 they required her father be present. The problem is, her dad had passed away, so I only had a death certificate... not him in the flesh like they wanted. After several rounds of arguing of me saying that the death certificate was the legal document substitution for him and the employee saying they needed him to be actually present, I asked if I could dig up his ashes and bring them in. They finally said "we will submit the death certificate and see if they accept it". Thankfully the good folks working at the federal passport issuance agency was smarter than that postal worker and granted my daughter her passport.

My family had homing pigeons for awhile when I was younger. Sometimes for fun we'd take them for a ride to a park about 10 miles from our house and let them out. 100% of the time they'd be sitting on our roof when we got home. Fun fact: You can do the same thing with doves, although it turns out you can't take them quite as far and have them return...
Also, wherever a pigeon makes its nest becomes the place it calls "home" and where it will keep returning.

Madison Hill’s comment was the funniest you have ever read on your podcast! Probably wasn’t funny at the time but I bet they’re laughing now along with you!!

Is it weird that I am now getting my important information from Nateland. Just found out stamp prices are rising.

Nate’s thought process - Gravity is like drain, so…kind of a “garbage collector”. Therefore, Saturn is a garbage planet. This is why I watch this podcast.

Listen y'all talking about moon landing reminded me of when I found out from a school teacher that they left all the lunar Rovers on the moon. As a kid, I always was worried that some other nation was going to go up and get our Rovers and then they would have our secret Rover technology.

Also, considering sending our junk into space. That would tell anybody who found it way way way more about us then that stupid Pro with the record of a baby crying and whale sounds.

Aaron, have you ever considered becoming a teacher? Reasons Aaron would be a good teacher:
    1. Allows student (aka Brian) to explain a topic such as space, and takes over when he says something too wrong like, “living on the moon”
    2. Calls out kids for doing dumb, pointless things such as waving at penguins.
    3. Admits when he’s unsure of something and “just googles it”
    4. Already good at public speaking
    5. Bonus: we need more men in the field, and there’s a teacher shortage to fall back on in case you get tired of the comedy grind

Perfect episode for me to come home to today, as i got into quite the kerfuffle at the Post Office this very morning! I had a package I'd mailed that was "Returned to Sender" even though I had the absolute correct address on my label, and they wanted ME to pay to get the package back, when THEY were the ones that didn't deliver it to where it was supposed to go! That would have meant that I PAID for it to be sent, and then PAID the same amount again only for it to wind up right back at my house! We had some words! I feel like Dusty would have had my back. Or possibly he would have just given them some chocolates.

This episode is Nateland in a nutshell. Todays topic is mail, but first we must talk about Gila monsters, digging up Ben Franklin’s body, and how we can send our trash to space. Well done.

Legit love your home studio setup. Photos on wall idea I’m stealing for new Texas build.
One quick suggestion: I get the window is a house/bedroom thing. But why not get a custom billboard/poster for your latest special on a cork board or something to cover that area? Some fun marketing poster you change around every few months/season. Change it when a new special or tour drops. Marketing plus it hides those blinds.

Aaron pronouncing Uranus as "Urine us" to avoid saying "Your anus" made me laugh. Is "Urine" that much better than "Anus?"
