- This a beautiful hike to the waterfall, been here for the first time so I can’t compare to how it was before.
One thing I forgot to mention is that the gate going up into the canyon they close it at 8:00 pm so don’t get locked in!

Thank you so much for watching, most of my videos are time sensitive , that means I try to go places when there is a better chance of having the best views and experience. For example if you watch video of a seasonal waterfall and you decide to visit but when you get there it’s completely dry that’s a bummer. Same thing if I show wildflowers blooming, you visit and they are long gone! Or a place with snow, you go and it’s all melted!
Right after I go hiking I post my videos as soon as possible.
That’s why it’s very important that you subscribe and a active the notification bell so you won’t miss a thing!!

My absolute favorite getaway, I was so sad to find out most of it burned. My son and I knew all the back trails to get there. Thanks for sharing and I hope people watching this video, appreciate and respect nature because we would always have to report the trouble makers coming here that would destroy it… So please don’t be one of those people!!!!
Thank you so much for watching, let’s hope they re-re-open it soon again 🙏
That hike has been on my list for a minute, thanks for sharing
Go and explore it my friend!! 🥾🥾
Thanks for sharing your wonderful walk through the mountains. I moved away from California 33 years ago but still miss hiking the places you go to. I appreciate your love for nature and teaching others to keep these sacred places clean. ❤
Thank you for sharing. It is wonderful to see my wife's and I favorite spot has come back to life. The last time we were there was when my son was her belly. We will be going back this month to show him the trail along with his baby sister. 😊😊
That’s sweet!!
Thanks 🙏
I hadn't been on that trail for quite a few years before the fire (due to moving elsewhere) but when I'd walk it it had more trees and there was a bridge to cross the creek but it looks mostly the same as I remember. Also the first time I hiked there it was in 1978 by the light of a full moon with my fiance and his best friend. Thank you for sharing your video, it brings back happy memories of the many times I visited that trail.
Thank you for watching, the bridge has been destroyed!

This bridge is gone!! Stutervant falls

Planning a hike here this coming Monday, just to avoid the weekend crowd. During the weekend, parking here gets very challenging if you arrive late, with some opting to park at the cliff-side edge of the road to avoid mini rockslides. Looks like the paved road after the gate, that goes down to the first bridge is gone... along with the bridge. I'll know more in a few days. Thanks for the video. Your voice-over and music choice was very relaxing.
Thank you for sharing the hike.🎉❤
Awesome!! Been waiting for it to open back up. Thank you
My pleasure, watch my other videos too 🙏
Thank you for sharing, I'm will go next Saturday,I was waiting for 4 years😊
Bellos paisajes ! Me alegra ver que el árbol junto a la cascada siga en pie .👍salud!

Thank you 🙏
You too, love your videos!!
Finally! i've been wanting to take my kids here since 2020. I miss the old homes you pass by at the bottom. So cool to see
Thank you for watching!
No way. I did not this place closed The last time I was up it was was four or five years ago and visited camp hoagie Super cool place Very green and luscious lots of bugs No fish and lots of little dams. Once you get to the bottom of the pavement road, they used to be a bridge watching this video. I guess there’s a board now. Make a left walk2- 3 miles and get to the camp. Very primitive drop pit bathroom and very close to the creek Where you could filter water Super clear as well. But make sure you hang all your food there’s lots of bears
Great memories of heading out to chantry flats on Saturday mornings with the boys and carrying lots of 18 packs of beer and sandwiches and chips past the water fall to a spot above, other older hikers we would pass along the trail would ask if it was worth it? and yeah it was and we would take trash as we always packed out, it was so beautiful and lush, 35yrs ago
Thank you!
I was there about 30 years ago, great memories gracias. 🥾
De nada!!
Wow you seem to know alot about hikes and beautifull places i'm subscribing to your channel 😃
Thank you 🙏
Welcome aboard !
amazing my friend. loved coming here when i was a kid
Thank you 🙏
Great video!
Thank you for watching 🙏
Hi Lopez, thanks so much for this video! Can't wait to check it out! Is there another place nearby to buy the parking pass that's open earlier than 8 am?
Thank you for watching 🙏
To park anywhere in Angeles National Forest, Cleveland National Forest, Los Padres National Forest and the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument you’ll need a National Forest Adventure Pass Permit $ 5 per day or $ 30 per year that you can buy at more sports stores as well as gas stations and most 7 eleven stores near the Mountains
We have same mountains valleys the mountain water is very clean at you side as our valleys
Thank you 🙏
Awesome you went there, I was wondering how it looked I haven’t been there in at least 17 years lol I remember the other trail up there better because it’s shorter. The one you went on I only been once because for me that’s a far hike even though I’m 41 lol I’m out of shape. I remember that big dirt path going down in the beginning was paved before though. Anyway that was cool
Thanks , really appreciate you watching my videos 🙏
Se va a adelgar Ignacio de tanto hike. 😂
Thanks for the update. Is the parking pass the same as the Angeles National Forest Pass?
You are welcome, same pass
There are people leaving in those houses in the trail?
Yep! Private property
Gracias Ignacio. Did u go down we're they cliff jump
I think that one is still closed, it’s called Hermit Falls.
Thank you for watching 🙏
How do u get out of the rock pool though?????
There is a shallow part for that, thank you for watching!
Is fishing allowed?
Not sure, probably catch and release only
No way. I’m going up tomorrow
Thank you for watching 🙏
Which exit off of 210 (I assume) should I take to get to the parking lot? Santa Anita avenue? This may be a good alternative to the East Fork San Gabriel river area I frequently go to, but the road that leads there got closed a couple of weeks ago and may stay closed till the end of this season according to a CHP officer I talked to. Thanks.
Santa Anita all the way to the end ( north ).
Thank you, Ignacio. You always give us great useful information. You take us to the most beautiful places. ✨️🤍🙏
Thank you 🙏
How far in is the rock pool? If you’re going in, is it to the left or right of the trail. I was just there the day after it opened but didn’t see it.
About a mile in, on the right by cabin #50 or 52
@@lopezexplora ok. Thank you. I’m going this Thursday again and will look for it.
@@lopezexplora I got to see the rock pool. It looked deep but very nice. Thank you for the directions.
@lupemendoza7413 Awesome 😎
Cuantas millas para llegar al waterfall?
1.8
*8:54**
I don’t think so, I’ve seen a couple of them at the Bridge to Nowhere tho.
Thank you for watching 🙏
went on Sunday 10/6, the parking fee is 25$.😂😢
That’s the price at the Pack Station, the general parking is only $ 5 if you get early!

Same here!
Thank you for watching 🙏
Gente vive en todas esas cabinas que paso?
Si, son propiedades privadas. Pronto voy a editar el video en Español
@@lopezexplora ah ok. Yo entiendo inglés y español nomas que no me fijé que lo menciono 😅
