Thanks for stopping by our Cafe at Chantry Flat. Adams Pack Station. Please come back. What a great video. I, too, thought it was ironic that a Bobcat vehicle was parked there on our our 1st weekend open after 4 years.
Used to ride that almost weekly. Lived in Monrovia. It was fun doing hill work through upper Arcadia, Morovia and Sierra Madre. One place to park is Arcadia County Park. The parking lot is south of Huntington Drive on Santa Anita Ave. The other is Sierra Vista Park on Sierra Madre Blvd just west of Santa Anita Ave.
Dang! It's finally open. I've ridden up to the closed gate about a dozen times thinking they'll never open this thing again. I've been tempted to just go under it but the signs saying you'll be fined a trillion dollars and put in Alcatraz for 20 years did scare me off.... Anyway, thank you for another great video
@@hobbs2005 hahahaha yes, I also saw all the signs and decided not to go until it was Open properly. The good news is that the wait is over! Thank you for watching, get up there and have some fun!
You missed the climb to the Helipad! EXTRA CREDIT and one of the best views... If you climb Chantry to the Helipad, and cut across Altadena to the Rose Bowl hills, you can easily get over 5k of climbing. So glad Chantry is back open, but not happy about these Hot October evenings! Chantry is exposed and will cook you certain points of the day.
@@creativeclectic thanks for the heads up! I do plan to go back to chantry some time soon, possibly with gravel bikes so we can try and connect some of the unpaved roads we like. We'll check out the helipad as well. 🤙
@@leoblue_kore I'm sorry but I'm having trouble with that right now. The road is still showing closed and won't let me create a custom route, however the ride up chantry is very simple: Just start at the intersection of Santa Anita Road and Sierra Madre Blvd and head North on Santa Anita. It turns into chantry flat road at the gate shown in the video. Happy riding!
