They make 268 horsepower. That's more than a lot of pre 2010 muscle cars make. At the end of the day, this is a sweet ride and a sleeper that can easily out last most other cars on the road. My 2008 Avalon has 230k miles and it runs like a clock. I parked my 2011 Police Interceptor SAP with 100k miles for this thing. It's a great car.
@@blessedjuggernaut The 2005 Avalon comes out of the factory making 280hp and 260tq. Toyota lowered the horsepower to 268hp for the 2006 model year and beyond. The 2005 is the first year for that generation but I honestly had no idea that the newer years made less power until your comments made me do some research. Very interesting.
late reply but short answer is no, Depending on the design of your car’s exhaust system and how restrictive the stock muffler is, a muffler delete will add 1-3 HP at best and 0 HP in most cases. Even then, that minuscule 1-3 HP power increase cannot be felt, since our bodies can only feel a 10 HP increase. With that said, a muffler delete has the potential to shift your car’s torque curve slightly higher in the RPM range. This means slightly more torque at high RPM and slightly lower torque at low RPM. Neither of which can be felt. Now, why does a muffler delete add so little HP if at all? The reason for that is that the stock mufflers really aren’t that restrictive. Even with all these baffles and chambers, stock mufflers are designed to maintain close to zero back pressure, and were talking about Toyota here. That means that by deleting the muffler back pressure does not change and the exhaust velocity (most important part) stays practically the same.
@wysterioh so cutting the cats off won't improve the torque on this 3.5v6? I cut the down streem cat on my 96 chevy c1500 with a 5.0 v8 and it absolutely improved my low end and overall torque to my engine, I was able to get to places on time or sometimes early doing the speed limit. I've been thinking about getting a avalon limited, right now I have a 21 camry se and it's just slow. Almost no tourqe, always flying everywhere like everyone else in there 4 cylinders. Not safe , not fun. I really miss that low end torque
It definitely can, but then won't pass smog if you live in a state that tests all that stuff. I have an mkc y pipe on mine and just swap it out when smog time comes every couple years.

I got an 06 blue with tan interior. It really is a sweet ride with more than enough power, since it is my first car.
Sounds good when the resinator is taken of. I like it👍

That’s perfect. Especially for my 3.3l solara convertible. At least with the resonator.
Love your commentary. 👏👏👏
Been following you guys since 534 subs I can’t wait to bring my car by and let you guys work on my Taurus

How much do yall charge for the second setup? I have a 2006 avalon and I would love to bring it to yall.
Yeah how much
good old toyota avalon
I have a 2006 avalon if i cut the rear it would sound dicent not to loud right?😅

might have to get this on my 2005!
I’m thinking about doing it to my 2013 if u did it how does it sound in person
Stop wasting your time people and just remove the resonator. If you are modding the exhaust just do it all, do it right.
Yes
Maybe not on an i4 though lol
@CryoWolf96 it's a 280 hp stock v6
“Doing it right” starts with not doing ghetto work to your car done by a ghetto shop
Much much better without the resonator 👍

Someone needs to make an aftermarket front down pipe. It gets pinched down to almost a 1.5" pipe. Hurts exhaust flow severely
