The crazy thing is, I just happened to stumble upon this car in the Facebook marketplace. My previous car was a 2017 Mustang GT and I had a loud exhaust and many other mods on it, so I needed something with a little roar haha
Man those thing's have the potential to be a sleeper, hell 280hp/260ish torque, and weighs 3500ish pounds. Haha that's pretty good honestly, and it's a Toyota so of course it's gonna last probably forever. I kinda wanna sell my 09 Hyundai Sonata, then get an 05 Toyota Avalon. Sick video btw!
I have 01 Toyota Avalon XL Spruce Silver color wey. Just hit 180k. I had a flowmaster muffler installed along w some nice 18 inch blk wheels. Little mod n it sounds good w that muffler lol
What i like about the oil filters, is the fact that the oil is what catches most of the debris/dirt. Every time I clean the filter ill spray the MAF down with some MAF cleaner
Where do the little hoses go on the intake Planning on installing these on my Avalon and I need to know where each Hoses connect to on the intake. Pls.
Love it man. Any idea where to get dashboard parts? My entire dash is cracked (airbag cover, dashboard, area under the buttons for the radio). Thanks for your time sir. Still cannot believe the mileage on yours
I bought 5 Pirellis for my 2010 Avalon limited, but I upgraded to 225/55/17 instead of the factory 215., the only drawback now is that the long screw no longer will hold the spare in place in the trunk because the tire now it's too wide. 83383 miles on the odo. as of aug. 2022.
@Khyri Tucker Yeah but only the intake. I bought a K&N short ram intake a few months back and haven't modded anything else since then. At one point however, I was debating on getting a less restrictive aftermarket muffler and a catalytic converter, but then it be too loud and tbh the car doesn't need it. The Avalon is a luxury sedan not a sports car lol. It's made for a mellow, comfortable driving experience. All things your typical non-car person wants. Now I'm not saying you can't drive it or turn the Avay into a performance car. Anyone could do that with any car if they are skilled/knowledge enough and got the money. In closing tho, I dont think you should mod your Avalon too excessively. If you wanna put an aftermarket intake on, go for it. The sound difference is incredible and the slight gain in low end torque is noticeable enough to make it worth the money. You could get aftermarket exhaust piping too cuz you will make even more power and it'll be much louder than stock. Though, doing that isn't not worth all the money imo. Because you're using it on the wrong car application like I mentioned before. But it's your life bro, your money, and your car so do whatever the heck makes you happy lmao. This is just my two cents and things I've learned from wanting to mod my own car. Sorry for the massive book I responded to you with btw xD, just had much input to give. Lmk tho what mods you ultimately end up installing and how it goes. Best of luck to you man, have fun and be safe out there!
@@ryguy3687 nah dude I appreciate the reply I need more input I’m new to the car scene but I definitely feel that bro I don’t want to mod it heavily at all but I would like it to sound better but I’ve never done any kind of wrenching before so this would really be my first “project”. I did have a G35 before this which I know is way more versatile with aftermarket parts and things you can do to it but I really like the Avalon better 😭
@@IRYHK Anytime man, car bros unite lmao. I'm glad to hear you're not gonna mod this car heavily or dump mad money into it (wait until you've got your dream car to burn a hole through your wallet with modding haha) But if you're looking for better sound without having to wrench much at all then an aftermarket intake is def the way to go. When you step on the gas pedal it gets loud. Plus the sound of the intake literally gulping so much more air into the throttle body still puts a smile on my face to this day, worth every cent xD. And I feel that.. love my Avalon too, but the aftermarket parts scene for this car is dismal ) : Luckily for us tho, the V6 version of the 08 Toyota Camry has the same motor as our Avalon's. I have seen some saying that specific K&N cold air does not provide too much additional benefit......what did you see in terms of overall positive performance,??
I also got a K&N short ram for my 4 cyl 2011 camry, really doesn't do anything noticeable for performance but it really makes the engine sound beefy at the higher rpms.
