This is one game that absolutely needs to be remastered and finished properly. But I don't think that will happen under Disney. Just imagine how much better it could have been.
The fact that this guy took the effort to “get into” his character, and narrate the story as if he was written into it, I cannot say just how much I appreciate it. Subscribed.
He did so well I had to come to the comments to confirm this wasn’t from in game as I haven’t played the game. Lmao I was really tryna figure whether it was a narration or a audio cutscene movie🤣
I was expecting just a narration with some related images or scenes from the game but this was much more. The effort and quality in this is very impressive and you should be proud of what you've made here. Kreia is probably the best character in Star Wars history yet so many don't know about her still. While this video is long, it serves as an entry into her character for people who havent/wont play Kotor 2 in a very easy to digest format.
God damn, this is like an audiobook, such skill in narration but also super mellow, great for listening to those who struggle to sleep. A wonderful STAR WARS story tastefully told to send you to snoozecity
After thinking it would put me to sleep after having watched it 4 times, I still love it... (P.S. the narration is on another level, still can't sleep... So I gotta side with Corypheus ..love it and the channel!!!
Kreia has saved my life unironically. I was always bad at reading or understanding (have dyslexia), but reading stuff in Kreia's voice inside my mind helped a lot. It is weird, but it works lol
Hands down best star wars character ever written. This was star wars writing at its peak. I've never experienced anything like it in that universe ever again regardless of the media/entertainment form.
The more i read & learn about Kreia the more she intrigues me. She was stunningly intelligent & insightful. She's another one of those characters who seems more interesting than the mainstream characters like Darth Sidious. If Disney was smart they would make movies about the Old Republic.
Disneys recent handling is what made me go find the novels on the old republic. Darth bane’s 3 part book story is masterfully written. Each book stands alone well but reads beautifully all together
@@craigford33 I agree with u. There are so many interesting characters that mainstream public have no clue about. Exar Kun, Darth Bane, Revan, Sion, Nihilus, Vitiate, etc. All of them are equally as interesting as Darth Vader & Sidious. Some of them even moreso.
As much as one can love a fictional character, I love Kreia. She's so driven to tear down the whole galactic system, but one sympathizes. She's as evil as good, but that's part of the appeal.
I haven't played too many games with strong a storyline, but from what I know, Kreia is the most developed character that I've ever seen. The game did her true justice with how they presented her, and at the end, we found out all the reasons as to why she did what she did. She was strong, resilient ,intelligent, cunning and brave. I wish that in the future we could get more story about her, only as long as Hollywood don't mess it up, as that's what they are notorious of doing :)
She is a villain ultimately at the end of the day as her intentions are to undo reality in the context of the Star Wars universe but is rather compelling.
Honestly, this is one of the best Star Wars videos I’ve ever watched. The way you portray the story of probably the most complex character in Star Wars history is absolutely extraordinary. Phenomenal job 👏🏻👏🏻
Kreia is by far my favorite character from any game, movie, story whatever... She is such a complex and profound character it’s hard to believe that she isn’t based on a real person!
She’s a riff on a previous character from the same writer, Ravel the night hag from Planescape: Torment. Ravel is a powerful, evil manipulator and vain witch who tempts men from across the planes with her wisdom, and mostly eats her suitors. In Torment, you play an amnesiac corpse that can’t quite stay dead, trying to discover who he is and why he can’t die while exploring a cramped, violent hive at the center of the universe.
This is amazing, it is of the level of audible audio books; with light music, sound effects and great narration. I could easily think I’m listening to an audio book. And it also has pictures and videos it can’t get much better.
My man, this is a masterpiece. You rekindled the love a have for this franchise. I now understand how much this "little" game character influenced my view of the world and it's partly thanks to you. This was a thrilling experience that I watched in one sitting. Thank you for that, and for making this video essay 🙏
In my old age I wonder what ever could be that still interests me. Getting to know Kreia's wisdom here put words and order to the deepest parts of me that I call art and meaning. Thank you.
Kreia is in my top 10 fictional characters of all time. This was an amazing video, you really went into every detail about her character and motivations.
That monologue in the holding cells has stuck in me since the first moment I played it. It is unironically one of the greatest monologue performances I think that has ever been performed. Sara Kestelman’s performance has lasted 20 years now, even as the graphics of this game have aged considerably, and I think she is one of the reasons why this unfinished game has gone down in history, and why we still watch videos discussing it in considerable numbers
Absolutely amazing video friend 🤩👍 As someone who got into Star Wars via the Lucas movies as a kid in Nigeria, these videos of the EU lore always blow me away with how vast and grand the world building of Star Wars is! Compared to the lackluster disney star wars, Lucas era Star Wars was great. I am just starting to experience it myself via the KOTOR games in PC and the EU novels I am currently buying.
Sometimes I wonder why I'm a Star Wars fan considering all the garbage that Disney has been putting out for years, but then I watch content like this and see the amount of love and effort that has gone into creating such a masterpiece video like this. Thank you so much. May the force be with you.
This explanation is just WOW. I mean since I played KOTOR 1 and 2, I‘ve been a Kreia/Darth Traya Fan as well and I know her character pretty well but your video is just EPIC. The way how you used your own voice and voice lines from her and cutscenes is pretty unmatched in my opinion. Every time I have to do work alone I just put in my headphones and just listen to this video. It helps me focusing on what I am doing. So again just WOW. Even people who don‘t know her from the KOTOR series are after this video very good informed about her. 👍🏻
"Perhaps you were expecting some surprise. For me to reveal a secret that had eluded you, something that would change your perspective of events, shatter you to your core? ...There is no great revelation, no great secret. *There is only you.*" For some reason, these lines hit me especially hard.
That hearing Meetra screaming (25:56) just as the flashing of the Mass Shadow Generator detonates. But just imagine that in real life action, as she cut herself off the Force to keep herself alive, but the pain off cutting the Force off from her it must be painful as the Force is part of life.
I forget how even more self-righteous Atris is playing as the cannon Female Jedi Meetra Surik. I've only done a female playthrough twice many years ago, but this game is so wonderful with Kreia guiding the player throughout the game. Bravo to this video.
I thought your narration was just dialogue from The Disciple ripped from the game. But turns out it was your brilliant self. This is one of my favorite KOTOR videos. Awesome job.
What makes a great game? Lots of things, but when you can make an in-depth character analysis of one character that spans for the better part of 3 hours just speaks for itself. I definitely need to play both these games again. Nicely done video.
While searching for more on Kreia, videos at minimum an hour long. I came across this video. 2nd largest and one of my favorite. By voice, I do believe I have fallen in love with the narrator ❤️. Of coarse I am being facetious. But, what a refreshing change to have a woman's voice as narrator and whom also loves fantasy and sci Fi. Thank you.
It is so amazing, incredibly great and truly breathtaking work you have done here. Thank you from the whole of my heart. Kreia and Exile are both very dear and meaningful to me, helping in time of doubt.
Seriously, I've watched this video 5-9 times and as an avid sci-fi buff. I'm disappointed that I never followed the advice of my friend who said there is a lot more to learn about the Star wars universe than is in the movies/series. That is where the real stories appear... (This vid is a absolute master peice) the character complexity throughout this 2 + hours is just game changing! Personally I think the story of Kreia is like the missing heart of the real story of the force. At least to me she asked all the questions that I think I've always wondered... Cheers and keep up the good content.
As much as I love Kreia and acknowledge how her teachings can even apply to real life, and how right they almost always are, I have realized there are a couple of instances where she is actually wrong. She claims that turning away from the Force can grant unexpected strengths, but actually, when Meetra turned away from it following the devastation of Malachor, she merely wandered the edges of the galaxy, never involving herself with anyone or anything, never coming into that conflict Kreia knows is so essential for growth. It was only in touching the Force again and returning to galactic society that Meetra became strong- again, all because she embraced the Force once more. Furthermore, although I have seen in my own life and the lives of people around me that depending on your own strength and no others is the safest way to live, there are times when someone helping you is just the push you need to regain your confidence, your hope, your desire to succeed and grow. Conflict is essential, as Sun Tzu said, but too much can break a person's spirit, make them just tired of endless struggle. It is sad how great her character is- her knowledge of how manipulative the Force is, how neither Jedi nor Sith are right, how these conflicts are at the behest of the Force and how detrimental they are to life- and yet, no other character in all of Star Wars after her lifetime, even those who knew her, takes her teachings to heart. In the novel about Revan, even Meetra who traveled with Kreia and heard all she had to offer goes right back to "Jedi are good, Sith are bad, the Force is all there is to safeguard the galaxy".
The evolution is not constant, it is changing allweys. And in long periods good is distorting in something else. Sometimes bad help you to survive. You can see today in our World - I am good, i will protect you to death. If you go backwards a little, in the fairytales you have good and bad to teach children, that there is a battle always in those two. Today it's twisted, in movies you see bad is a good thing. Movies are the fairytales of todays children. It is confusing. So , as long as you have reasoning ( healthy) you can survive. It isn't complicated as the people in high places make everything complicated to take benefits from you.
I’ve seen like 3 videos of Kreia, with all of them being over an hour long but I think this is by far my favorite one. Your voice is so soothing and at times I even thought you were a character giving exposition from the game. Great video though loved it
Bravo. From the minor nuances of your storytelling to the beautiful timeline displayed between chapters. Not to mention the audio editing done to this entire video. Bravo my friend. Best Star Wars video I’ve seen on UA-cam and bonus points for being KOTOR Lore. 10/10. Following and subscribing.
48:58 I love how you even narrated the Exile's interruptions and did the interrupting yourself. In the unofficial yet almost definitive youtube movie version, it was as satisfying there as it was in the game.
I really enjoyed this video. Well done! I have played KOTOR II since it was first released (the XBOX version), and I believe that it is the single greatest Star Wars story ever told; a true masterpiece of storytelling. It took me a few playthroughs to realize that the Exile suffered from PTSD, and, once I understood that, the whole story made a lot more sense, and, after that, every time that I play through it, I pick up on something that I did not realize before. Like any great story, the more you read (or watch, or play) it, the more you learn. That all being said, I listened to the "Revan" audiobook in 2014 because I wanted to know what happened to the characters that I had spent so many hours learning about. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. That book, its treatment of Revan and The Exile, left a wound in me like the wound that was left in The Exile at Malachor V! All those hours of gameplay, all those adventures, all that training, just to get stabbed in the back like some punk? Give me a break! It was like the writer (he wrote the original KOTOR) had not even played KOTOR II; never took a moment to understand its story. He did not do his research, or he did not care to. I feel as if he merely read the cliff-notes version, and that The Exile was merely an afterthought, or an inconvenience, thrown into the story for the sake of being there, because he had no choice but to do so. The contradictions are too many to name, but the part where The Exile flees from the dead world in fear (after having just walked on the surface of Malachor V) was arguably the most egregious. I would have much preferred Chris Avellone's vision of KOTOR 3, where you play as The Exile, sneaking around the Sith Empire and bringing the fight to them. That is the game, the story, that Revan and The Exile deserved. But it was not meant to be.
Kreia's voice actress is amazingly talented and her lines are superbly written. Such a good game brings me joy. Good job on the narration, i enjoyed it.
Just found this, I can't stress how much I absolutely love this. The voice over, music, imagery...all of it, just incredible! Very well made, thank you, you earned a sub!

This video is so underrated, I love the layout of the timeline up top and the current location of wherever the current story line is at. It’s a remarkable video and looks like great detail and passion was put into this video love it. May the force be with you, always… peace ✌🏼
I find that the people who were accused by a certain billion dollar corperation with a rat as it's mascot of being sexists because they "don't like strong female characters" are the same people who love Kreia's character the most.
Kreia is likely the single most philosophical character in all fiction. All of her teaching serves a purpose and there are many truths that she utters no matter whether you are on the light or dark path. I believe that much of her disillusionment with both the Jedi and Sith was the lack of a focus on the greater mysteries and philosophy. Many of your choices in the came will infuriate her for they lack sophistication or, in her mind, intelligence. If you kill someone, she refers to you having cut all the possible outcomes off at once. This is what Kreia most loved about Revan and despised in other Sith. I believe that even in her last moments, only a small portion of what she said was true. I believe to the end she cloaked her true intent. I do not believe for one moment that she intended to kill the Force, nor do I believe that she believed it to be possible. Rather, I believe that it was always her intention to prepare the Exile to follow Revan as an ally after using her to purge both the Sith and Jedi. Further, I believe she is again using Malachor V for the same reason that Revan did. Darth Sion is broken upon her will again without the influence of Darth Nihilus to protect him, and I believe that this was her intent. Mitra does not have the power to undermine his will, but Darth Traya knows the secrets of his mindvand heart and sets the stage for his death. Further, the new Jedi lay the foundations of a better order than they replaced, an event not guaranteed until Trayus Academy. Lastly she primed Mitra to seek out Revan after all these things were complete. She spends the game laying the groundwork for this, but it is here at Malachor V where will are known to be corrupted that she will finish the web she has been spinning against the Sith Empire hidden in the unknown regions. And I believe that this was Kreia's long game, though it takes centuries to fully be implemented. I believe that when she states that Revan did not fall, she speaks also of herself. Further, I believe that she began this process after being shown into the Trayus Academy and studying the materials there, but her first choices were...unreliable, and so she started over. To put it another way, she is the Dark Side version of Gandalf. Her plans were long in the execution, and none could ever point to her as the manipulator of events, but it was the subtle unseen hands of the Dark Lady of Betrayal herself that brought down the most evil and nihilistic Dark Lord to exist in Star Wars history.
I just put this game on my tablet I cannot believe they never made a stand alone Kotor 3 finale and I'm amazed they never remastered these 2 masterpieces The story, the writing, the depth is truly unmatched in substance
Man i really dismissed kotor 2, i felt it was just long winded, but 12 year old me just didnt understand the plot. Watching this has made me appreciate the story so much more. Thank you for making this video!
Those who write code bring these characters to life but those who bring forth these characters from the shadows of their minds instill a soul. Well done on every level. Take pride in your work but accept all your accolades with a quiet humility and use it to grow your impressive talents. Well done. Well done.
This is some insane quality. Well done. Having played these games many times you told the story so well and linked dialogue with narration seamlessly. Seriously impressive and entertaining as all hell
Kreia is the best Star Wars character ever written, power gap to the next one. Because she's, above all else, a critic of the Star Wars universe. A critic of a universe where there is only good and evil, where the universe forces the people living in it to an endless conflict, that the force is not something that should be worshiped and advocating true freedom for all, even if it means the death of most of the galaxy And the exile stands in opposition to that, saying that the universe deserves to be saved and that life will always find its way to thrive. Its the "villain thinks there is too much suffering in the world and hence has to destroy it" trope from a lot of RPG's (especially JRPGs) but made in a way that makes sense, because there is something that forces misery upon the universe and she aims to kill it. In other words, she is a DnD character that decided her goal was to kill the DM. Also her lesson of "to truly believe in something, you have to know the contrast" is one I have lifted for real life and it made me realize how important it is to always see things from different perspectives God I hope they don't try to make her character again in the future, I don't see anyone top this.
@@Noxxarian I learned about what they had planned about Revan/How Kotor went in general through the novel and I've never been more furious while reading a novel as I have been there Because that's the moment I knew that the writers don't get what Kotor2 and Kreia was trying to convey. I am only glad that they never mention Kreia in the SWTOR or canon ever again
This was truly an amazing video to watch, I'm a massive fan of Star Wars and the lore that surrounds it, to see one such character's journey so well documented is fantastic beyond words. I truly hope that you extend this complete story series further and cover the stories of more characters in Star Wars
Wow, stumbling around lore videos forever and I found this. The format, narration, and layout of this video is better than all of the big guys, by far. I love the chapters idea you did, the sound effects when they transition, the old republic music layered in the background. Also your voice is great. Very easy to listen to. I honestly think if you uploaded videos like this frequently they would blow up. New subscriber
Thank you for putting this together. I hope someday Kreia gets her own movie or series. I think she understands the Force better than almost anyone else. Revan's story makes much more sense after you get to know his former master.
Atris admits that she used you to draw out the Sith, that she could not risk her own life...... You mean the only thing a Jedi has in life that they are to spend she could not give? That line, a Jedi life is sacrifice is brought up plenty of times. Is it fear and cowardice that brought this choice? Was she already so far down the dark path that using others for her own power was the correct choice in her mind? Atris is interesting and at this point in the game should be easy as all hell to beat. She is not true to the dark side or the light side, trapped between those worlds is a weakness to force users. Makes me so sad how they made the new trilogy, it pretty much undid all the work of the previous movies. I was really hoping we would see a Jedi order rebuilt by Luke. That worked on the more human aspects of emotion. Burying your emotions is not the answer to problems. So I was hoping for a slightly more Gray Jedi that would still be defined as good, and would have been outside of the control of government completely. Tying yourself to a government is just wrong for that sort of Order. Then to go along with it I was hoping for a fresh take on the Sith, maybe even not use the Bane line and start something new, or find an even older order and rebuild from it. I was actually wanting a different time frame. Away from Skywalkers. Yet figured they would not have the courage to just start fresh and play off nostalgia Feels like we got a bunch of adults picking up action figures and smashing them together and telling a similar story that was already solved.
Kreia may be the only real Jedi Master or Sith Master in the franchise.. I think that is part of what hooks us so on her. She has definite points of view, but she made Revan, the Exile, and us as her students work for them. She teaches how to fight yes, but she teaches how to think even more. She never told you what to think, she taught you how to think so that you could decide what you thought. They viewed Kreia as a failure for not teaching blind lockstep devotion to the order. They thought that teaching students to think for themselves would lead them to fall. But I would posit that Revan and Surik were the only Jedi in either game not to fall. All the rest, council, masters etc - all fell, but her students did not.
I'm just gonna say ever since I found this video I have been addicted to the old republic lore it is so fascinating how deep it runs and I thank you so much for showing me all this in just 1 video! ALSO this is an amazing video and you deserve so much more for the effort that went into this and I can't wait for revans story!
Thank you for making this. I loved the Philosophy of Kreia video, but that one is bordering on a decade old. It will always have a place in the Force, but this video is so much more comprehensive, we have more data and information points from which to draw our perceptions, and you have managed to create a work of content that does well to sate that Nihilus-level hunger we, as fans, feel toward this stage of the franchise. Especially after Disney went and neutered our Legends and EU lore! I personally own this title one steam and mobile (tablet, and the first game, too), but I first played both on the OXB, and at the time, it was all of the things I desired to see, and feel, when playing a character within the Star Wars mythos. I just pray they make a Windu title that includes his Shatterpoint ability, because it's only been referenced in the Clone Wars series (from what I understand, it was in that CN animated series AND the 3D animated Clone Saga series.
I thought I would never like a character like Revan but over time Keira has become just below him or just as high. They're such good characters. The writers of KOTOR 2 are amazing
Dude you rock. This vid was enthralling - made me remember why I loved those KOTOR games as a teen. Well edited and executed and the narrator's voice goes along perfectly with the source material. Thanks for a memorable two hours and change.
I admire your editing and narrations, this was wonderfully put together, and not only well informative, but beautiful, I could sleep to this in fact as it is soothing to listen to. Thank you for such work.
It's a shame Star Wars fans haven't embraced this channel with a subscription when others have millions by making up theories to talk about and explaining things that don't even need an explanation, assuming we are dummies and can't understand them by ourselves.
This was insanely well-produced. From the narration to the transitions (and just the overall editing) this feels so professional. Bravo!!! Would love to see a similar video for the character of Vergere, who in many ways mirrored Kreia in the post-ROTJ era. Whereas Kreia saw the Force as almost malevolent, Vergere saw it as almost benevolent, if not entirely neutral. A video showing the parallels and divergences between their philosophies would be so beautiful in your style. Keep doing what you do!
1:13:00 "It is a technique that is almost as old as the Sith themselves - it is a means of severing connections between life, the Force, and feeding upon the death it causes. It cannot be taught - it can only be gained through instinct, through experiencing its effects first-hand."
the editing of this video is incredible! your production values are amazing and i love the breakdown that smoothly glides into an actual sort of play through of the cannon game
I loved this and am glad I found it, the way the video was done was amazing. Your voice is amazing and now anytime I hear the Exile it will be in your voice.
When I jammed this as a kid I never understood the lore or meaning of this game , but it was still me fav game. Now I realised how great (even incomplete) this game was. This idealim is a must in star wars cannon. Sorry for my bad spelling
This was absolutely awesome! It's been years since I've been able to just sit and do nothing but enjoy a movie - thanks for all your hard work and excellent presentation!
Definitely a labor of love. Thanks a lot for sharing it! Countless hours went into creating this and though I'm not sure if I'm able to play the games due to the old graphics, it's great watching this! Thanks again!
If you do not or are not planning to do narrations for games, voiceovers in movies or audiobooks, you are committing a crime. Your voice is perfect for it. Your inflection, tone, and pacing are extremely easy to listen to. I hope you look into doing it professionally or at least put many vids on youtube. Instant fan and sub. Thank you for the hard work and time you obviously put into this. Amazing work.
This story is far better, more powerful and balanced than any of the recent film trope released by Disney... it also transcends the binary good/bad view in the first 3+3 movies. Thanks for compiling this story arc into a cohesive narrative!
kreia has allways been and will allways be one of my main top favirote complex characters ever and the old republic era will always end up being my favirote era in star wars no matter what lol and this has been one of the best videos on kreia that i have come across ever ty for this video and also subscribed :)
THIS WAS SO GOOD!!! WELL DONE!!! I was listening to it and watching it during my playing of SWTOR and it was fantastic! A real nostalgia trip rush. Gave me back my memories of KOTOR2 and memories of how much i lived Kreia´s character. The writing on her is something totally different and amazingly hype. Incredibly good stuff. Well done.
Loving this video! Thanks! Great narration style and pacing, particularly with interjections of character dialogue. Cool video style and editing. Love the music! Fav Star Wars lore! Subscribed!

Who trained her and how did she become a Jedi
I wonder if the writers intended for Kreia to have such a profound influence on our perception of the franchise.
Most definitely. Chris Avelone has confirmed this
Well she was with me. As a child, I always openly questioned the validity and purpose of religious beliefs. To give all devotion to omnipotence in exchange for balance, power, or reassuranc. Always sounded like the omnipotent, themselves, were the actual problem. Kreia's beliefs only reinforced those questions.

All of these beloved franchises are being milked for everything they are worth by greedy producers and developers.
This is one game that absolutely needs to be remastered and finished properly. But I don't think that will happen under Disney. Just imagine how much better it could have been.
I could listen to kreia talk for hours
"I speak with a voice that will never move others, I speak with a passion that goes unheard." Yeah, right, who are you kidding?
We did that, after a fashion.
The voice actor did a tremendous job
sounds so much like captian janeway from voyageur. just now looked it up to find out it's not her

Is this not a womans voice? Fantastic narration tho, holy moly 👏
I listen to this religiously I’ve downloaded it to my phone so I can have it off-line while I am working you have done gods work sir thank you
So I'm not the only one who does this?? Yo...
I was expecting just a narration with some related images or scenes from the game but this was much more. The effort and quality in this is very impressive and you should be proud of what you've made here. Kreia is probably the best character in Star Wars history yet so many don't know about her still. While this video is long, it serves as an entry into her character for people who havent/wont play Kotor 2 in a very easy to digest format.
whos ready to start the “Kreia movie” wave. if we’re lucky we can get disney to do it by 2032
@@Exile97 Disney would only ruin her. That would be the ultimate insult to star wars
@@MaadhatsOnTwitch depends whos in charge, the movies are ass but the tv shows have been amazing
@@MaadhatsOnTwitch I agree. Disney stands for everything Kreia hates and despises.
@@Exile97 that's also true.
God damn, this is like an audiobook, such skill in narration but also super mellow, great for listening to those who struggle to sleep. A wonderful STAR WARS story tastefully told to send you to snoozecity
just slept like a baby 2 this last night lol
After thinking it would put me to sleep after having watched it 4 times, I still love it... (P.S. the narration is on another level, still can't sleep... So I gotta side with Corypheus
..love it and the channel!!!
Disney can learn from this when making new movies
Always down for some good Kreia content.
@@Noxxarian I get the feeling the philosophy of kreia video may or may not have had something to do with this
Kreia has saved my life unironically.

That would be enough to kill Sion!!
Yep. Sion might pass out drunk and fall asleep on an actual pile of vibroblades.
If?
Do NOT suggest they make old republic films! Look how they handled Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Kenobi, Mando 3. Theyll ruin it all
As much as one can love a fictional character, I love Kreia.
Kreia is not only my favorite Star Wars character, but up there for my favorite “villain” character of all time.
To me Kreia is the best-written character in SW by a long shot.
@@bakshev Agreed!
Kreia is quite possibly the most interesting SW character.
What an absolute masterpiece of editing and story telling! Cheers for bringing life back to my favorite series.
"Perhaps you were expecting some surprise. For me to reveal a secret that had eluded you, something that would change your perspective of events, shatter you to your core? ...There is no great revelation, no great secret. *There is only you.*"
For some reason, these lines hit me especially hard.
I'm very happy you enjoyed the video :) thank you!
One of my fav videos of the year. Thank you for this masterpiece. The way you transition from narration to Kreia's dialogue is the *chef's kiss.*
Good job on the narration, i enjoyed it.
it's quite significant that i listen to this alongside the darth plagueis audiobook. great work! i return once more.
7 thousand subscribers? This content deserves wildly more.
When the game’s stories are better than the movies it’s a sad day. Just rip this story for the big screen and bam all is forgiven.
Disney would destroy it.
The movies would have to be two to three days in length, otherwise, they would be missing significant chunks of important storyline.
Just found this, I can't stress how much I absolutely love this. The voice over, music, imagery...all of it, just incredible! Very well made, thank you, you earned a sub!
finally got some time to sit down and watch this, been so excited about it and what better day to watch it than may the fourth! b&j in hand, let's gooo
I just put this game on my tablet
I cannot believe they never made a stand alone Kotor 3 finale and I'm amazed they never remastered these 2 masterpieces
The story, the writing, the depth is truly unmatched in substance
Man i really dismissed kotor 2, i felt it was just long winded, but 12 year old me just didnt understand the plot. Watching this has made me appreciate the story so much more. Thank you for making this video!
You must do more of these. This is better than audible. The person narrating besides Kreia is excellent. You have a like and a sub from me
One of my favorite characters of all time, and you did an incredible job depicting her story.
Those who write code bring these characters to life but those who bring forth these characters from the shadows of their minds instill a soul. Well done on every level.
Take pride in your work but accept all your accolades with a quiet humility and use it to grow your impressive talents.
Well done. Well done.
1:27:04 "I speak with a voice that will never move others". I strenuously beg to differ there, Kreia
A critic of a universe where there is only good and evil, where the universe forces the people living in it to an endless conflict, that the force is not something that should be worshiped and advocating true freedom for all, even if it means the death of most of the galaxy
And the exile stands in opposition to that, saying that the universe deserves to be saved and that life will always find its way to thrive.
Also her lesson of "to truly believe in something, you have to know the contrast" is one I have lifted for real life and it made me realize how important it is to always see things from different perspectives
God I hope they don't try to make her character again in the future, I don't see anyone top this.
@@Noxxarian I learned about what they had planned about Revan/How Kotor went in general through the novel and I've never been more furious while reading a novel as I have been there
Because that's the moment I knew that the writers don't get what Kotor2 and Kreia was trying to convey.
Probably won't see this comment but I had to download this so I can listen to it always. That's how well done this is. 11/10
I have watched this twice, now. It's so well done, lovingly crafted. And your voice is just... jeeeez. Whew. What a wonderful video!
Thank you for putting this together. I hope someday Kreia gets her own movie or series. I think she understands the Force better than almost anyone else. Revan's story makes much more sense after you get to know his former master.
This is just fantastic. Great work on arguably the best written character in Star Wars. Honorable mentions to Bane, Thrawn and Valkorion.
Yet figured they would not have the courage to just start fresh and play off nostalgia
Feels like we got a bunch of adults picking up action figures and smashing them together and telling a similar story that was already solved.
Thanks for a memorable two hours and change.
thank you for making this video. this game forever holds a very special place in my heart. i will surely fall asleep to this for many nights
Fantastic video! Extremely well made. I’ve watched about every Kreia analysis on UA-cam and this might be the best
This lore really is amazing. Thank you for this video. Kreias philosophy is so cool.
I intended to just listen to this in the background, but I couldn't help but to watch it in segments. Well worth it.
This video is so amazing. The narration, the vibes, everything. The music is giving me nostalgia to top it all off
When I jammed this as a kid I never understood the lore or meaning of this game , but it was still me fav game. Now I realised how great (even incomplete) this game was. This idealim is a must in star wars cannon. Sorry for my bad spelling
This was absolutely awesome! It's been years since I've been able to just sit and do nothing but enjoy a movie - thanks for all your hard work and excellent presentation!
I fall asleep and wake up in the middle of this and haven’t taken off despite saying “I need to take this shit off and get to bed”. Well worth it.
This was grade a movie material! It made me enjoy this classic game all over again. Someone get this person a contract to direct a movie!!!
@@Noxxarian any chance you will be doing other video games?
@@Noxxarian might i make a suggestion? Skyrim!
I’m getting ready to my own video essay on Kreia and the Force. This is excellent.
Definitely a labor of love. Thanks a lot for sharing it! Countless hours went into creating this and though I'm not sure if I'm able to play the games due to the old graphics, it's great watching this! Thanks again!
This is a beautifully made showcase of one of the greatest star wars characters ❤
This is so awesome! Definitely my favorite star wars video!! Definitely the BEST Traya/ Kreia video on UA-cam!
This is one of the most well done videos on the subject I've ever seen. It puts everything together so well that it almost feels simple. LOVE IT!😊
More long form videos like this would be great, I love listening to them like audio books 🙂
This story is far better, more powerful and balanced than any of the recent film trope released by Disney... it also transcends the binary good/bad view in the first 3+3 movies.
Thanks for compiling this story arc into a cohesive narrative!
Kreia and revan have the best backstory out of any and all star wars characters. Its a shame what Disney's doin to our beloved universe.
just finished my first playthrough with a male protagonist dark side. this video was of great revelation and extension for me thank you
kreia has allways been and will allways be one of my main top favirote complex characters ever and the old republic era will always end up being my favirote era in star wars no matter what lol and this has been one of the best videos on kreia that i have come across ever ty for this video and also subscribed :)
Subscribed!
