    60% duty cycle at the full rated 200A. Depending on the task, 100% duty cycle at 60-75% rated amps. That sounds pretty good for a consumer rated welder. If the thing has some longevity, it will be a fantastic tool.

    Couple suggestions, when turning the gas on, don’t face the gauge. It’s a ton of psi and people have been seriously hurt from the gauge exploding. Not super common but a good practice. Also no need to open the valve so much, one full turn is all you need. This is also for safety, if something goes wrong you need to turn the gas off very quickly. So if you have the valve wide open it will take to long to close. One full turn takes a second to close.

    For the life of me I can't understand why any company would send their equipment to UA-camrs that are not professionally trained in that field here is the perfect example.

    Between mig and tig , both run well on straight argon .
    Arc welding , a good all around rod will be 6011 1/8” . It burns through rust and painted surfaces.
    Wish I lived closer so I could show you how to weld better .
    You beads look good for a newbe

      My employee was a Welder for 12 years, he was supposed to help me with this Vid but he quit a week earlier to go to a better paying job. So I had to stumble threw it. It's always better on 220v

      Is it rip off when every fabricator in Denver runs 100 percent co2, will that corrupt the weld.

    • @RichardParker-gw6se
      @RichardParker-gw6se 7 місяців тому

      We had to read the work orders first to see what type they wanted us to use . Straight argon , 75/ 25 . Argon with 10% helium . Some stainless jobs we had to use a mix of argon / oxygen

    17:05 you were running way too hot, I’m pretty sure you could knock 5-15 amps off and still get a good weld. If you’re gonna use a glass flux rod, I’d use a 7018 for making your own tools or repairs.

    On your stick learn to do U.U.U. NIce little machine. Long ago a friend in another shop bought a new miller 304 cc/cv and carbon arc on these electrical units and it would not weld right after. I think there is one setting for pushing wire through without gas and another for different mixtrues ar 100 percent aluminum. For stainless tri mix where argon/helium. Out here they could not figure out why their welding was not penetrating 1 inch aluminum plate 20 percent helium fixed a 40,000 mess up. You can take that cup and flip it so you can see what you are doing with the arc and you can also use a straight edge also with cutting to not burn up your boots/shoe laces leather chaps had a woman welder one time not listen to me and she burnt her who ha.... never seen a woman run around that fast in a shop to the hose in all my life. Tried to warn her. And no piercings or rings. Seen fingers come off in my life one man had a grinder ex.plode and spent many hours in surgery. Plasma cutter get old gloves and try the pin hole method to show you what it can do those things can do some damage to flesh/skin. Like any wea.pon treat it with respect. Esab,hypertherm,miller,lincoln its good to see competition. Try sending out for a repair on one of their machines cost almost 2 of these at 1400 dollars. insanity can you imagine the price tag if these were made in the states.

      I see $999 today, so I think you are mistaken. If you want the works, that is $1450, but a lot of folks don't need everything all at once. And the everything package is very worth the price if you need the extras.

      @@karlhansen5253 I have a whole shop of neat things just i saw there was looking for an older buddy of mine. One thing i recommend on the leash or anything near the plasma cutter is a velco 50 dollar cover for all your plastic leads will save from burning and use sip ties at the end. What they need to include in these units as an offer for sale. Re wrote my comment not sure why it deleted i pushed a button.
