Hey there Ronnie! I'm weld enthusiast, but I never own more then a cheap stick welder!👉👉thinking on buying a profetional do it all machine! Wat is the difference betwin cold and pulse weld, technologically and but quality? Many Thanks, Claudio.🙏
Im a retired pipe and structural welder. This thing beats all welders iv professionally used. I dont know why people buy Miller and Lincoln welders for when one of these could do the work faster and better.
As a first time welder, I just ordered a 4 in 1 welder from amazon. Literally my first day welding was Sunday Sept 17 2023. I think this little machine will help me learn to weld.
Pulsed mig is typically used in production welding over mig for the fact that you can tune it to get a cleaner weld with less splatter. Years ago I used to know the technical terms but I haven't used pulse for years.
We had to use pulse mig in the military vehicle industry because it reduced the heat put into the part while giving the weld almost/or as much penetration into the base material as a constant voltage run over the material would. As well as like you stated: reducing the spatter.
The screen change when you adjusted your voltage is actually adjusting your arc length. A larger or higher number on the screen equates to more voltage from the tip of the wire the contact area of the arc on your base material. Typically fine tuning is required to find the highest amperage of the wire feed you deem necessary to fill up or make a weld size you need. Matching the amperage with the old "One amp on your machine per thousandth thickness of your base material" is a good place to start. Forgive my lengthy explanation but 4 years of professional welding and my inner teacher's eye started twitching to share knowledge. Hope it helped and love your videos! PPS: if you were to make more welding content videos i wouldnt complain.
Thank you very much for the info and thanks for the compliment . I think I'll be throwing some more in occasionally. I do have lots of videos welding projects . I just decided this year to try and help people get started . I'm certainly no Pro
That's a winner , Pulse and the gutsy Plasma are my favourites on that demo the spray arc with pulse may give the duty cycle a shake yet it is stunning in appearance. Co2 is an active gas improves or gives a deeper penetration profile and runs hot , it's used in heavy production welding with flux-cored wire which comes out super smooth as a result of the CO2 Shield. Thanks for that demo on my 3rd hour searching for small cheap welders and this popped up , well done very realistic .
I bought a simder mig tig and stick, it has 240 volts if needed for less than 200 bucks and it did a good job making my mowing trailer. You have to buy the tig cord separately but for the money it's hard to beat. I used it on 120 and 1/4 inch steel welded easy.
Ha! you got me with that chipping hammer brush, never watched your channel before, thought WTF! this guy can't be serious! then in the bin it went. Well played.
Pulse mig works like pulse tig. It basically fluctuates the current. You will set your current you want, then a backing current. It will bounce back and forth between the heats. Works great for filling gaps

Thanks for demonstrating this welder. Due to financial difficulties, I had to sell my Miller MiG and TIG/Stick welders. This welder looks like what I need, especially on a budget. BK
There are a few points that should be mentioned to the average DIY's, #1 he's using 220 Volts, most garage guys will be using 120V, #2 He's using Tri-Gas which is Argon, Helium, & Nitrogen with a solid wire (GMAW). The gas primarily used for welding Stainless Steel, and it's cost is 3-4 X as much (because of the Helium) as 75% Argon & 25% CO2. #3 Most guys today I believe are using Innershield, Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), which is by far the most convenient method in use today, All Position, no wind concerns, and is code compliant when the proper procedures are adhered to. In combination with a shielding gas of 75% Argon & 25% CO2, it is called Dual Shield Welding. Produces a very clean appearance, it's a very fluid puddle, hotter, not recommended for out of position welding- it will drop out. Best used flat on large/thick weldments w/a fast deposit.
UM,, that's 240 volts NOT 220 volts.. 220 volts is used in most other countries There is a huge difference between 220 and Nor American 240 split phase.. Using the wrong terms leads people to set things up improperly and could cause huge problems.. I know a lot of people who own welders,, Not a single one of us uses flux core and most use 240 volts in their garages.. The only exception is the guy who works on railroad bridges where a gas shield just won't cut it... No entry level welder and few home handyman will be concerned about the fancier gas mixes
@twistedhillbilly6157 that's true but it was changed only 75 years ago and is commonly referred too as 220 volt and intelligent people understand what's being referred too
@@FishinNStuff "Intelligent people" Interesting choice of words.. Where I come from "Intelligent people" understand that 220 volt on an electrical appliance, it almost always means that is will work with the rest of the world's 220 single phase power,, and rarely if ever means that is is compatible with North America's 240 volt split phase system.. Over the year's I have probably had over 100 people explain 240 volt power to me and not one single time were they correct.. Most will argue for hours rather than to spend 15 seconds looking it up. I have no idea what you are saying changed 75 years ago.. Perhaps the "intelligent people" you made reference to have taken the day off and you are just winging it.. Hopefully this comment has helped your algorithm and you'll get enough money to purchase a clue..

That's a pretty good deal with the welder I just ordered one to see how good it is to get it for less than $650 is a hell of a deal hard to pass up. My primeweld tig225x was $825 alone add the water cooler and the water cooled TIG torch that was $650.😮😮
I'm guessing here, but cabling is aluminum copper clad wire and both the ground and electrode clamps are copper plated steel, which will rust pretty quickly( correct me ,if I'm wrong}. The welder itself might be good, but factor in the cost of higher quality cables and clamps,if you buy one

You can weld aluminum TIG on reverse polarity. It isn't quite as clean, but it can be done quite easily. After you listen to the so-called experts, ask people who've done it and who know.

Many high schools, vocational education systems, and trade schools would have welding classes you could take at night. I took welding at a local high school voc. ed. night class a long time ago. In my area the various high schools send students to a centrally located vocational training facility as a cost saving measure. Other areas may still have high schools that teach welding themselves. If you have a local technical college they are likely to teach welding and that would most likely be a day class but they might offer night classes as well. Be aware a welding class will not be cheap. However, your experience there can be very valuable.
Use this on one of your fishing hacks brother you can buy or use an old or new pantiehoes for cut bait and chicken liver and not loose for bait unless you get snagged or the fish swallows it whole
Mr. N Stuff, do you think you could get yer buddy to try all this again with it plugged into a 20 amp 120 volt circuit, or maybe do it yerself? That's how I would have to use it. If you could do it before yer coupon code runs out, that would be AWESOME! Thanks to both of you for this video.
I'll ask him to check . I left it with him to play with . He really did like it . It's really a powerful little machine . I also read it has 100% duty cycle at 154amps . That's impressive too . I sure it would do just fine using 120v . That's all I use on my Miller. Most stuff I weld is 1/8 to 1/4 " steel
I was thinking about stick welding, which is mostly what I do and the plasma cutter's capability with stainless and mild steel on 120 volts. I assume it does flux core as well as mig?@@FishinNStuff
Do you know what the duty cycle is? The Titanium 200 I have from HF is 40% (4 minutes on/6 minutes off). When I first bought it, I didn't think it would be a problem for my home shop needs but I bump into it quite a bit (arc drops out and kicks back on randomly when the machine get heated up). I've been thinking of busting into the machine side of it to see if I can get a fan in there because I didn't want to spend a couple of grand for a pro welder. If this machine has a decent duty cycle, it might be worth a shot. I never needed a plasma cutter but if I had one, I'm sure I'd find some reason to use it, so that's a bonus.
Pulse is nothing more than an and impedance that operates within the frequency and amperage that you're running the welder at. If you can turn on pulse while you're running reverse on TIG welding, it should be enough to be able to weld aluminum more comfortably, but I've did welded aluminum with reverse polarity without much of an issue.
That's pretty impressive not too many people do with such a intuitive testing of these machines out there and I'm pretty impressed with that simender. I do welding as a profession that here at the house and I have a primeweld tig225x with the water cooler it's like your friend setup and I'm pretty impressed with that welder I think I might have to check it out and see if maybe I could add it to my fleet to have a MIG in plasma cutter in one.
I wish my everlast 221 sti would pulse in mig mode just for thinner sheet metal work. Then again I have never used a pulse mig. I know the pulse tig is great for a lot of things like outside corners on thinner metal.... That said I am not about to give up my everlast for I love the fact mine is AC/DC and I have a plasma already. Is the plasma on this a pilot ark? I do have to say for the money it does look like the most bang for the buck. What is the warranty like?
That lil machine is actually really impressive!! I was looking for a mig welder and a plasma but why not have them both plus more in that!! 😮😮 take my moneyyyyy!
Nice welder. My biggest concern would be that it only has a one year warranty. I wonder how easy it would be to get repaired after the warranty expires. Just a thought.
I have a ideal for you to try . I tried over and over to talk to MR Wilson but he was always busy . He said he would call me back but never did .I wanted to buy the mount for the stomp switch for my shallow Ankers. So here's a Ideal if you take a a red cutting board can you melt the plastic board into a rectangle mold and it stay red. So I can build my own stomp switch block
I left the link to the Company that makes it in the description box below the video . If you call the Great Outdoors in Cherryville . Ask for Jason. He call tell you more about it
I came her for Fishin Stuff. I got Welding Stuff. I ain't mad though, that thing looks awesome and it's been over 30 years since I did any "amateur welding" in High School welding class.
I wish you had covered 2 important processes #1 does it have the voltage required to burn 7018? I found out the hard way that my Everlast multi process machine does not. I think I was told that 7018 is a cellulose based Flux and requires 27v. (I don't typically stick weld). #2 you also discussed aluminum MiG but didn't attempt it. Does it power a spool gun? I assume there was probably one in the shop based on the aluminium you were cutting. I appreciate your video and enjoy most of your content immensely. I can't swing this kind of money without knowing.
@bertpulaski2492 I agree and speaking of tossing. I never said this but it's really light . And the website says it has 100% duty cycle up too 154 amps
What I don't get is that Simder welding products are available on Amazon; yet this model is not available on there 🤔. If they made it available on Amazon that would be awesome. Maybe put in a word with them for that.
The only annoying thing i have seen with the plasma cutter with other stuff it only has one gas port so if you are using a gas you have to switch to air to cut so you have to cut everything then weld which can be a hassle
The other concern is longevity. Will it last are repair parts widely available. I have been welding since 1974 and there is no free lunch when it comes to equipment
I used to weld for a living that machine is impressive
I agree 100% , it doing spray just blew our mind . On top of the tig and plasma cutting . And I was reading the website and I didn't mention that it had 100% duty cycle up to 154amps that's impressive too !

I'm currently using theTOOLIUM 500! It's a great little welder for what I do!
He lays down the cleanest welds I've seen
Odlično napravljeno , uskoro i sam krećem u izradu istog
That things just awesome!!!
Wow pretty dang impressive!
Learn that pulse mig side. It will be handy on thin metal. Less heat warping and less chance overheating or cooking your metal
Why I love Sundays, new vids.
According to the 4050 pro website . It says it's 100% duty cycle up to 154amps . I haven't yet tested that . But everything else it says is true
@FishinNStuff
Wow, 100%. That's hard to believe but if it's true, I'm sold. I'm off to their website.
Thanks for the info.
Like you said this thing is impressive. All that in one small package. I wonder what the life of it is? Thanks for showing it.
I couldn't promise but , it has a 100% duty cycle up to 154 Amps . So I would think it's going to last a while. But im not positive
What size electrical breaker does it take to run on 220, and also on 110??! Thanks, Ky
I'd say 50 amp on 220 and 20 amp on 110
That's pretty impressive not too many people do with such a intuitive testing of these machines out there and I'm pretty impressed with that simender. I do welding as a profession that here at the house and I have a primeweld tig225x with the water cooler it's like your friend setup and I'm pretty impressed with that welder I think I might have to check it out and see if maybe I could add it to my fleet to have a MIG in plasma cutter in one.
Honestly, that's really why I told them I'd try it . The price was a bonus. But a mig welder that plasma cuts . That's crazy .
What about welding aluminum? Do you have to buy an additional whip??
Pulse works really good for aluminum
Dang it, now I got to buy a new toy, and that's pretty awesome.
It is pretty awesome for the price . I need to try the aluminum still
The plasma cutter part , is well worth the cost
I wish my everlast 221 sti would pulse in mig mode just for thinner sheet metal work. Then again I have never used a pulse mig. I know the pulse tig is great for a lot of things like outside corners on thinner metal.... That said I am not about to give up my everlast for I love the fact mine is AC/DC and I have a plasma already. Is the plasma on this a pilot ark? I do have to say for the money it does look like the most bang for the buck. What is the warranty like?
Hey, it’s me from the court house jury duty😂. Nice to meet you. I enjoy watching your hacks!!!!!
Hey it was awesome meeting you too buddy
That is 1 cool little welder!!!
I'd like to know how it works with Core flocks wire on 110.
You want to see ot run flux core ?
I have a combo tig plasma stick in the plasma cutter will cut 5/8 inch thick cold rolled rolled steel without any trouble at all.
What kind is it ?
That lil machine is actually really impressive!! I was looking for a mig welder and a plasma but why not have them both plus more in that!! 😮😮 take my moneyyyyy!
Heck yeah, I'm gonna have to get that 4050 Pro 👍
OH MAN! I TOO USED TO WELD FOR A LIVING AND THAT BAD BOY NEEDS TO COME HOME TO ME! 😁
You need one lol
Plasma cutters at my work go up to 105 amps. Goes through 20mm of steel like butter.
That's alot . I think my plasma is on 40 amps . But I never cut anything that think any ways
Great video you are now my favorite hillbilly keep up the great work
Love my 120v DC Lincoln MP, for most things for this hobby welder, but if it could plasma cut!
Nice welder. My biggest concern would be that it only has a one year warranty. I wonder how easy it would be to get repaired after the warranty expires. Just a thought.
I'm not sure . I don't know for sure how long it will last . But I think it might be tough , it's got a 100% duty cycle up to 154amps
@ssimderwelders I ordered one from your website and you have not responded to any of my emails.
Wish I could afford one. Decent little machine
It really is
Covers so many different set ups. May not be the best at each. But with a little practice and set up. Can work efficiently enough for a small shop
PS- you da man sir! Great content , and you make it funny
Great now I want one Just Sayin !
I’m gonna have to order one of these.
It's really impressive
It really surprised me and David . And it weights less than my small Miller, it's crazy
Thanks for making the video. Seems like an awesome product.
I think its nice , if you consider the price and everything it does
The aluminum mig process does that take a different whip like a push pull gun
All you do is change the liner . It comes with a Teflon liner for aluminum mig
Awesome vid but it would have been better if all the test were also done with 110v. Im just saying ya know?
For less than $650 with both discounts and it has a plasma cutter you can't go wrong.
I agree . A decent plasma cutter is higher than that
Would love to see how it does 0n aluminum
I wish you had covered 2 important processes #1 does it have the voltage required to burn 7018? I found out the hard way that my Everlast multi process machine does not. I think I was told that 7018 is a cellulose based Flux and requires 27v. (I don't typically stick weld). #2 you also discussed aluminum MiG but didn't attempt it. Does it power a spool gun? I assume there was probably one in the shop based on the aluminium you were cutting. I appreciate your video and enjoy most of your content immensely. I can't swing this kind of money without knowing.
I’m actually very interested in this machine and I use a Miller Syncrowave 350 daily lol
I really don't think it's in Miller class honestly but really can you buy a 600 dollar miller
That’s what I’m looking at. The fact I can toss this in the truck and not really worry about it, that’s kinda hard to beat.
@bertpulaski2492 I agree and speaking of tossing. I never said this but it's really light . And the website says it has 100% duty cycle up too 154 amps
Please note: this product is currently available for pre-sale in United Kingdom and European Countries.
I can't believe this cheap ass machine can weld that good.
Man, have they come a long way.
They really have come a long way .
What I don't get is that Simder welding products are available on Amazon; yet this model is not available on there 🤔. If they made it available on Amazon that would be awesome. Maybe put in a word with them for that.
Just in time for the holiday's. I know what I'm asking my wife for! lol
Awesome vid really fun to watch.
The only annoying thing i have seen with the plasma cutter with other stuff it only has one gas port so if you are using a gas you have to switch to air to cut so you have to cut everything then weld which can be a hassle
I agree
Tig welding over mill scale. What a savage. 😂
I don’t weld at all, but loved the video for the entertainment value 😂
The other concern is longevity. Will it last are repair parts widely available. I have been welding since 1974 and there is no free lunch when it comes to equipment
yeah take that!
@ssimderwelders please send a welder for me to review for a year.
Nice show. Thanks
I was looking at that welder for home thanks for the review definitely in the near future wish it had ac. 🤣
If it had AC Tig it would be perfect. But for 600 bucks I can't complain . At least I can learn how to Tig with it I guess
Be alright for back yard jobs maybe, still wouldn’t be rushing out to buy one at all.
Nice video, thanks for the info. Subpposebly isn't a word though, it's supposedly.
