For thick gauge metal, you need higher amperage/voltage/slower gun moving to achieve the right penetration.

Excellent review Dony. This seems like a very nice all in one machine. This would easily accommodate all my welding and cutting needs as a diy'er for a very reasonable price.

Great video! Sounds like a great option for someone just starting out that hasn’t invested in other equipment previously. Plus, hopefully it’s reliable and would be problem free for several years. Thanks for the demonstration!

Just a few quick comments and observations that may help you as you gain experience. While there is no magic figure for shielding gas flow and volume, since each individual scenario has it own unique requirements. However for most general purpose mig and tig welding you can't be too far out using about 15-20 CFH of gas coverage. We do not want to waste gas but on critical welds you want to err on the side of caution. Sometimes less is ok, sometimes way more. You've got a good head on your shoulders, you'll figure it out soon enough.
Also not sure if this machine allows manual override of the parameters but it's always best to stay close to the recommended 1AMP/.001 metal thickness rule, this applies to all of the processes of fusion welding.
Another good habit to get into is to always weld clean shiny metal whenever possible. The welds will be of much better quality when rust, paint, and mill scale is not included into the filler metal deposited. This is a very strict requirement of code welding practice for good reason. Plus your welds will have a much nicer appearance.
This last point of welding only clean shiny metal is an absolute must for the tig process.
Have fun Donny learning some new skills, I'm sure that time of year of being busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger is just around the corner.

Great review. I am sure this machine will appeal to quite a few. I am always leary of multifunctional machines. I always flashback to yard/garage sales when I was a kid. It seemed like every one had a TV, radio, record player console. With one or more functions not working. Also if this machine has to go in for repairs. You lose the ability, to do anything.

Great review Don, thank you. I have a multi-process welder (MIG, stick, lift-TIG) and a separate plasma cutting machine (must be in contact with the metal to begin cutting). I have been toying with the idea of getting a better multi-process machine and this video convinced me to give this one a try, Just ordered it, delivery to my home in Portugal in a week. Package included spool gun (for MIG welding aluminum), foot pedal (for TIG), helmet, some consumables, a carrying pouch and all for just over €1000. I should be able to recover at least half of that by selling my two current machines so I feel that this is an affordable upgrade to what I have now.
Thanks for your review video and keep up the great content.

Matty thats an awesome combination only concern with all these multi machines is if you need it serviced/repaired as you do and it must go back to bas your are left without a unit to work with. I not long ago purchased a trio multi Unimig 220 no Plasma just MMA, MIG & TIG.
I couldn't see a gas bottle fitted when you welded with MIG or TIG which is a must especially for TIG.

It all looks very nice when new but what kind of after sales service comes with this unit? You of all people know how much that means.
What happens when the magic smoke comes out of a circuit board after two years of very light occasional use?
Can it be fixed or do we end up with a very expensive door stop?

Looks like it will do it all! I bought a plasma cutter from YES and a stick welder from Arc Captain which I'm waiting my electrician to run 220. I have 3 other lines but not sure if any mice have compromised them since they weren't run in conduit, which i would prefer. I haven't stick welded since I was a sophomore in high school and now 71 years old. Lol !

Can you control the plasma cutter function through CNC? In other words if you were to attach the plasma cutter to a CNC table, would The CNC be able to trigger the on-off function of the plasma cutter? Would love to be able attach that to a DIY CNC plasma cutting table that I'm making.

Feels a bit like the Ryobi tool system to me (quality wise). Does the job fairly well, but if you're a pro, you'd probably have a pro unit for each. Me? I don't weld much. Got a cheap inverter that runs up to 120A (dubious), and it makes big fat welds with plenty of penetration. Then again, I've never welded aluminium, and wouldn't even try it with this machine. I've seen my boss welding a hole in an oil pan with a stick welder 30 years ago, but that was a nice, huge ESAB. He's the only guy I've seen weld aluminium with MMA. Yes, the electrodes were aluminium! 😆 That shop had some very weird and cool things! Gotta say, though, maybe due to oil residue, maybe due to how thin the pan was, that weld looked like a goose had had constipation for days and finally gotten to poop. Looked like a pile of shit, but it worked! To this day, I still wonder why he didn't gas weld it or braze it. It was just a small hole and a couple small cracks, and he was only stopping the leak. (The MIG machine never worked while I worked there!) Miss that job!

Hell of a bargain. Amazon sells this with a $200 off coupon. $500 delivered. Buying a dedicated machine for each capability would be far far more costly. I bought used a dedicated 1) Century stick welder 2) A 120V Flux Core welder and 3) A Bestarc 50Amp plasma cutter and I'm right at the $500. Three machines, taking up lots of space, without all the capabilities of this single machine. Fuuuuuuudddddgeee.
