It's early but I'm going to guess the Caddy will be able to tune up excellent drivability and torque out of slow corners with the big displacement engine they have....may allow them to save hybrid energy for the top end of the straights.
99% of the time you want the deploy as soon as you're out of the corners anyways, carries down the straightaway and you're fighting less drag. Only benefit I can see is maybe the turbo cars will rely on hybrid some to compensate for turbo lag, but I would bet that will end up making a minute difference. The Acura DPi's didn't really have many issues with turbo lag/drivability, only the Mazda did.
@@ryanwhitlock7350 Deploying out of the corners in LMP1 was because they gained the benefit of all wheel drive, though I still think deploying right after a corner and using the hybrid power to get upto speed as fast as possible will the be main strategy. There are very few places where using the hybrid to give you more juice at the end of the straight would help, I think Lemans would benefit this.
Cadillac is using a real racing V8 probably similar to the nascar cup car Chevy motor since they're part of GM....meanwhile Acura seems to be running the honda IndyCar motor in their GTP car
Possibly… We were told it’s a new engine for the Prototype but it’s actually the Corvette engine. Now whether or not it’s the C7 engine or the C8 flat crank is yet to be heard. Based on the noise I wanna say it’s the C7 engine but then again I’m not smart enough to say that the C8 engine modified could have the same deeper sound as the LMDh does.
Love the new sound out of that Caddy. Wonder what kind of clusterpuck is gonna happen in WEC with these things.LMDh and LMH competing? Sounds like a dumb series but if they want to do it more power to `em.
@@jonrobertson2269 very close to Dpi competition times, while running testing and mileage runs. These things i reckon could run faster in full competition spec.
@@ReXzz 1) that’s not what electrical deployment sounds like, it sounds like vibration caused by unfinished aerodynamic design. 2) that’s a terrible place to deploy electrical power if he had it. 3) look it up. LMDH power trains have no hybrid requirement.
What a toy... Too agile to be on the weight limit, I pray the have yet to fit the defective hybrid systems... Otherwise rivals can estar packing things and go back home
The Rolex 24 cannot come soon enough thanks for the footage
It looks like it has SO MUCH grip; and is incredibly well balanced.
And those lightning fast and brutal downshifts.😳😳😳😳😳
This is it.
The best sounding racing car of the 2020s.
This is peak endurance racing noise.
bringing back the noise nice work Cadillac 👍
Awesome Sound & Desing
I can't wait for this action I love how the car look and sound 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Damn - those down shifts sound like rapid fire gun shots! Great sounding car and IMHO the best looking of the bunch so far. Really like the livery👍
so hyped for this class!

ready for 2023 Season
Good God, the Hypercar entries all sound AWESOME
That’s fucking nasty as fuck… Long Beach GP is going to be crazy
It sounded like thunder in LB I can’t wait for next month
Nice Job !
Looks very nice! Good work!
Does this car have a hybrid system, or is it just combustion?
hybrid!
To reward Caddy for keeping n/a in racing imma buy some merch at the 24
It really does sound similar to a nascar cup car
Close to the same engines with DOHC, not pushrod
Jackson Storm 🤩
@@didakeepa nascar cup cars still havepushrod engines
Jesus this sounds so good
Best sounding car out of all the cars.
Jackson Storm 🤩
By far the best sounding LMDH car
This car seems really fast!
same engine as GTLM C8R?
Can I get The Cadillac GTP LMDH as a Assetto Corsa Mod?
It sounds so fucking good
To me the Caddy and the Acura havent changed sound wise.
Will there be any more LMDH videos on Road Atlanta?
Yes!
Awesome my dude!
I'm so fucking hype
If I had loud mufflers I'd want it to sound exactly like that.

Crossplane
Based on my negative knowledge of these engines, it does at least sound like a cross-plane V8
They’re definitely sandbagging.
Looks like an lmp1 c8 vette

Cadillac confirmed they are taking 3 cars to the 24 hrs of Le Mans... it isn't a clusterfuck,it's what needed to happen so more cars can compete
Times anyone?
No official times but supposedly in the 1:10-1:12 range. DPi pole from Saturday was a 1:09 and change

hybrid system!
@@ReXzz pretty sure the Cadillac isn’t a hybrid, and if it is that’s a terrible place to deploy
@@77arceus well you have no idea then. It is a hybrid. Because LMDh cars are all hybrids - mandated by the rules…

Rumor has it these are actually electric cars with noise synthesizers to calm the masses.
