I'm so confused why people say the combat is bad when all this gameplay looks very cool. Real question, why do people feel negatively about the combat?
Sunk over 60hrs now on hyperboost server. Fiddled with every setting and keybind to make the combat feel better. It has a lot of potential and great animations and sound. It's just a little clunky and old on a mechanical level. The mouse smoothing is awful, can't attack without a target feels really old and defense skills are useless in large scale pvp. Abd maybe it's a patch or a netcode thing but desync and unresponsiveness seems prevalent for now. If they can at least let us cast untargeted or a ground target i feel like i'd enjoy the game a lot more. But it's really close to being awesome.
xbow looks good in this video becuase the xbow skill "Mother Nature's Protest" + " fire arrow" can automatically split fire to enemys everytime you attack with skills. So that looks like infinity fire projectile. I'm new to Xbow build so i wont show my rough skill set on public. sorry. You can find pro guide from other ppl on youtube.

I ask because, I've been searching for builds since yesterday, and I can't find anything i know i will stick with. But your gameplay looks way faster and more fun than anything I've seen. My head literally feels numb from all the thinking ive done while looking for the build I want. Right now im currently staff and dagger. Still trying to learn it too.
Combining classes is a cool thought, but seeing a mage manipulating elemental powers through his knowledge and the magical source of his mind, shooting crossbows or wielding daggers is just weird. Still, I'm really looking forward to the game in September 🥰❤️

Just let myself be guided by what the gameplay says at release. It's a wonderful game and I hope that, as a WoW player 12 years ago, I'll finally get something comparable on the PS5.

Personally, I think Koreans overuse effects. If every ability has a VFX effect, everything gets filled with chaos. It's better to reduce the effects so that, on rare occasions, a spectacular one appears. Because when that happens, you appreciate the effect more. For example, they could greatly reduce particle effects, but when a critical hit occurs, apply those cool effects. That way, you would truly feel the power of the critical hit visually, and the beauty of the effect. It's also counterproductive. Because most of the time you don't even see your character or the ground. Therefore, it will be harder for you to avoid zones, and you will end up lowering the graphics because of it.
I will try to share Reshade preset after F2P 1st October. I have to make sure the reshade is working properly in Global launch version.

Because they only play for couple hours and they review it after that. The combat become more fluid after mastery going up as well.

Combat is good. Those who haven't played, just don't know. Combat is very fluid.

It is one of Staff skill called " Inner Peace" and use specialization to transform it to Thunder Blessing". Easy to get.
