    Flexibility is very important but so is having an open mind. I worked with a high profile family and met a couple celebrities. My nanny family loved that I treated everyone and their children with the same amount of respect I’d give to any other person. We’re all humans and want to live a life, being a nanny is such a passion 💕

    First, I love your videos and appreciate you taking time to share such a wealth of information. I have partnered with three HPF and they were all amazing experiences. I got my foot in the door by staying consistent with the same agency and they began referring me to the families. Being flexible, organized, confident, respectful, leading with kindness and compassion have been the keys to my success in this field.

    Great advice. Having gained my experience over-seas, cultural differences, different foods and procurement of items was my biggest hurdle. I loved my vacations home to Canada for Dollar stores and WalMart trips. YES, I worked and spent money, even on my personal vacations for the job!!! Do your homework on countries and their cultures if going over-seas is my biggest advice and of course, be polished, honest and you must be flexible ALWAYS. I'm looking to move into a possible modern day Governess role...yes, these roles are stil alive and well, especially in the UK. If you have any advise on this position, kindly share. How does a Nanny differ from a Governess etc. Thanks Ladies.

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  3 роки тому +1

      Glad you are enjoying the content! Yes, the term Governess is still popular in England. It is my understanding that this is more of an educational role (they are in charge of the children's schooling) versus a traditional nanny role. We do have roles like this in Canada but people do not generally use the term Governess.

    Hi! So I'm currently 17 (turning 18 soon) and I really want to move out and become a nanny. I've been babysitting constantly for years so I do have lots of experience. It would be an absolute dream to work for someone famous or to even just be able to get a job. I am looking too relocate to Honolulu, Hawaii in August. I'm having trouble finding websites to try and get a job lined up before I move. Would you be willing to help or give advice. Please and thank you.

    What about a certificate from a nanny school in NYC along with a certificate from an established online finishing school ? Because otherwise I do not know how I prove I can be trusted to be polished in upper class situations or events where my charges would be expected to attend alongside me.
    Of course the education on childcare will be proven with my certificate I hope?
    And I do not have a degree but nor do I have the finances for this much needed endeavor to level up and attract families.
    Perhaps later. Ot’s not possible for me at this moment
    However I graduated from a professional dance and acting conservatory and like I mentioned, I will be attending nanny school and finishing school.

    Hi Michelle !!
    Thank you for your videos. I have a question I hope you can help with. I got a job offer that I accepted but would not be signing a contract until about 2 month. However The family would like me to start off the books first until they are able to provide me with a contract ( because of their visa situation). However I received an other offer that is a way better fit for me and with a contract that i can sign right away. I feel terrible telling the First family that I got a new offer that I want to accept as they are counting on me to start very soon and I feel terrible making them waste time ... Could you help me with the situation? Thank you so much.

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  3 роки тому +1

      The only person who will look out for your best interest is you. Not having a contract and paying you under the table puts you at risk. If you want to accept the second job, tell the first family immediately that you are not able to accept the job due to the fact they can not pay you legally or offer you a contract. No need to feel bad.

      If it is discussed with the parents and everyone is on the same page. The nanny is often responsible for potty training when they are at work and then the parents follow the same plan when they are home.
