I’m the type of nanny that looks at all videos to figure out something before asking for help! Or if I ask for help, I like to know what I’m exactly asking for, after doing my homework.
I’m really learning a lot with you every day! Love your tips, they have been so helpful! Thanks!

The stroller incident your talked about happened to me too! I got to the park and couldn’t figure out how to open it so I watched a UA-cam video on it and finally figured it out😂

@@TheNannySolution do you have any preferred resources for a nanny binder? this new family is super organized and i want to help them stay that way

I love a good nanny binder! I will look at doing a video in the future. I don’t have a resource for one. You might try looking on Etsy. Some nannies sell them there but I can not speak to the quality.

Thank you for this checklist! I've been trying to compile my own as I search for jobs, but yours is great to make sure I don't forget anything! It's always so helpful getting a professional agency's opinions on things like this.
Thank you so much for all your insights into nannying. I noticed on your job board it says that nannies applying must already be in Canada - is this likely to change anytime soon?
I understand this is Covid safety related, but I'm not in Canada yet, and it would be great to apply for some of your jobs in the future. Thanks again for all your great advice with this channel!

You are welcome! Unfortunately we only work with nannies already in Canada because our families meet the nannies in person before bringing or do a trial day before hiring. We do work with lots of nannies on work visas. So if you are able to arrive on a work visa we would love to meet you. 💕

@@TheNannySolution Hello! Thank you for your reply. I do understand your postion and the families as well - of course you want to meet your potential nanny before you hire her/him!
I have a work visa all ready to go, which was approved pre Covid, no job required to use it and move over.
Unfortunately, with Covid, IRCC now require you to have a job offer before entering Canada to activate your work visa.
Of course, I want to respect the rules and regulations moving forward, but It's a bit of a catch 22 in alot of ways.
I'm hoping this IRCC requirement will change soon, as Canada begins to open up more.
Thanks again for your reply, I really appreciate it.

What would you do if the family don’t have a routine for their infant? I suggested a routine they could follow but it seemed they didn’t want to, so I was so lost and the infant was 4months old.

It is important to make sure your values are aligned with the parents before accepting the position for this reason. If the parents don’t want a schedule for their child it is their choice. There is nothing you can do if they are not interested in making changes. It is their child and they get to decide the schedule.

@@TheNannySolution Thank you so much for your response 🙏🏻. This answer is so sensible! I agree with you 100%. It was my mistake by accepting to work for this family in this situation I wasn’t comfortable with. It was a learning experience for me to be more assertive. I love your thinking and answers. Thank you, thank you, thank you😊

    Hi Michelle.
This will be off topic, sorry.
Just wondering if you can make a video with ideas for nannies saying good bye to their families. Ideas of presents, meaningful good-byes, etc. I am about to leave a family after 4 years and I have no idea what to do. Haha people tell me to do a photo book, but they have a habit of doing multiple photo books every year and I'm in all of them, the pictures I take are in all of them too. Any other suggestions.... :D

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  3 роки тому +1

It is so hard to leave a family that you have been with for 4 years. The connections and relationships that you leave behind. 😪I will keep this in mind for a future video. Maybe get a few nannies on who have gone though this and what they have done.
I don't have any great suggestions although I hear it from nannies all the time. Many nannies tell me they make an effort to keep the connections and relationships by calling and texting on a regular basis. If you are still in the same city making plans to go for dinner together once and awhile as well.
