- As you know, our world has changed quite a bit in the last month. The majority of the workforce is now working from home. Business and family meetings are taking place virtually. People are using technology (Skype, Google Hangouts, Zoom, Facetime, etc.) more than ever before to connect with one another.
We want you to be aware that interviewing virtually has some unique challenges to consider and prepare for. It’s not the same as chatting with your family or friends online. Below you will find our 5 tips to help you have a successful virtual interview.

I've got just over an hour. Tested zoom set books up on my coffee table to get the height I needed to interview from my living room. I'm a bit nervous because of it being a video but I'm so stoked! :)

We only work with nannies already living in Canada. We are not able to sponsor foreign nannies.

My mom is very good and professional to be Nanny but she cannot communicate in English. Is there any way for her to still apply for this job?
If she wants to work in Canada she will need to be able to communicate in English.

If you have a pet that you share the space with, let the interviewer know. Just a nice heads up in case a tail wags around the camera. :)
Even better, if possible put all pets in a separate room so they are not a distraction during your interview.
Use a computer for video interviews. Then you aren’t jiggly. Put it on a table. Bam. Easy
Not everyone has access to a computer. A phone is fine as long as it is stable.
