    • ELVIS PRESLEY - Twenty...
    Lyrics
I left my home up in the hill far behind me
I left my wife with unpaid bills, she can't find me
I'm trying out the world for size, find that it's not paradise, it's lonely
Now for twenty days and twenty nights I've been alone
And that ain't right without her
City ways are strange to me, I can't make it
For it's not like it ought to be, I can't take it
Gotta face the truth one day, man can't always run away from trouble
No, now for twenty days and twenty nights I've been a fool
And that ain't right, without her
One day soon I'm going back, where she still minds me
And then out of line and off the track, but that's behind me
I fooled around and did it well, but I just couldn't ring the bell , without her, no
It's taken twenty days and twenty nights to prove me wrong and make her right
Twenty days and twenty nights I was wrong and she was right, all along
    Oh, I miss her
Oh, how I miss her, oh how I miss her, oh how I miss her

Hey suzi and travis, another gem from 1970 . this song is used as a way to progress the movie, "That's The way it is" from the rehearsal studio at the mgm studios in culver city to the international in Vegas where the backups prep. in rehearsal, elvis shows off both his playfulness and focus. you can see at the conclusion he is happy with the end product. as a bonus, we get to see the live stage performance (which did not make the latest edited cut of the movie) where it all comes together, - much to elvis's satisfaction. i hope that you enjoy it!

I agree that Elvis doesn't get enough credit for his incredible talent. People waste everyone's time talking about the wrong things and miss the real point of what people love about this man... that voice.

Great reaction; thanks! Factoid: It was Elvis who popularized side burns; most guys didn't have side burns until Elvis. He had a huge cultural influence on young people; considered to be one of the top influencers of the 20th century in dress, style and music.

You mentioned what if Elvis had toured the world , here's a fun fact . In1973 Elvis' Aloha From Hawaii was seen by 1.5 billion people the worlds population was only 3.92 billion ! So just over 37 % of the worlds population watched that performance and this is before all the social media platforms of today .

The guy standing next to Elvis in the rehearsal was Charlie Hodge, whom he met in the Army. He would often introduce him at concerts as "the man who gets me my scarves and my water." Charlie was the guy holding the mike for Elvis in the iconic 1977 performance of "Unchained melody." They were close friends.
Yeah, I'm an Elvis nerd. :-)

      Elvis did not have to write his own tracks, Something he had admitted and said I don't really think about or needed too try songwriting. It was because he had quickly become such a star that every songwriter out there wanted him to record their music and get his approval. With so many people wanting him to sing their tracks, there was never a need for him to sit down and try to write his own material. However he really did help Co-write two songs in all ..... With friends Sonny And Red West and Charlie Hodge ...... Christmas trees and Holly Leaves ..... And the other song ...... That is someone you'll never forget ....... Said really I did not think about writing tracks, Which is something he had admitted and he truly wasn’t great at songwriting. However at the very end of {In the Ghetto}, A song Mac Davis wrote . Elvis added the very last words at the end of it , { And his mama cries . }

Many through the years have declared that there's Elvis and then there's everyone else. In a class by himself. They have declared him as the Greatest Of All Time. By 1977 the world dubbed him as the King of Entertainment! They were putting this on advertiment signs and on his marquee signs---Elvis--King Of Entertaintment. In around 2007 or 2008 even Celine Deion, in a special tribute to Elvis in a concert was going to do his famous song I Can't Help Falling In Love With You, and she says to The Greatest Entertainer Of ALL TIME, Mr. Elvis Presley!!!!! Still the most popular entertainer EVER. In an episode of Family Feud I was watching one year, the question was, what rock star would you rather see when you went to heaven. I believe that's the proper way it read. Guess what the number answer was------- BY FAR!!!!!!!!

Elvis is really at the top of his game in 1970 in every sense. 🎶❤

No special effects on his voice...no auto tune ....just pure talent.....there is no one around today that can match his stage presence, charisma and vocal ability....he stands tall amongst any other entertainers.....in the mid 1980s there was a group of music executives, producers, promoters who got together to discuss what would of happened if Elvis finally got his wish of doing a world tour....they estimated that an Elvis world tour, in the 80s , would of generated over 1 billion dollars.....love Ur reactions

If you take in the multiple and musically varied eras of his career it's breathtaking. From a beginning that established rock n roll as the dominant music form of the latter 20th century, to popular movie star to a Las Vegas showstopper who altered that city's entertainment landscape, we're left with an historic figure of note. And of course throw in 1 billion records sold worldwide for kicks .

Again from the documentary "That's The Way It Is"...the whole film is like that...the first half is all like the first part of this video where you see Elvis and the core rhythm section going over songs for the upcoming Vegas engagement on a soundstage at MGM studios in Hollywood. Then, the whole band moves to a banquet room at the International Hotel in Vegas where the show will be (the same room you saw just the singers in in this clip). Next the whole group does some rehearsals on the actual stage, and then finally, you see a whole concert in full. It's a great behind the scenes look.

Hi Melanie - I know that Suzi and Travis have at least reacted to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "You Lost That Loving Feeling". Check out the playlist section on their channel and search for Elvis.

That's the strange thing is that with the right direction elvis could have been even bigger than elvis and no one is bigger than elvis

Elvis would always joke around especially in reheasals. I've heard him sing "I left that bitch with unpaid bills..."😅

The guy he was messing with was his best friend Charlie Hodge. And I agree with what y'all said about all his people they all loved and respected Elvis and he was the same with them. As for colonel Tom parker.... I can't stand the man he ruined Elvis in my opinion love your videos guys keep it up

What's not fair is that if you check the list of top 100 singers of all time, he's not even on the list. How can that be? So known as an entertainer that it overshadowed his voice? I haven't a clue.

If you're talking about the recent Rolling Stone list of the same name Elvis comes in at # 17. That same list when it came out around 2011 had him at #3. The change in position allowed for Whitney Houston to be installed at #2. She had a powerful iconic voice of course but wasn't nearly as important historically as Elvis.
