ELVIS and Ann Margaret were truely and deeply in love with each other! They also were mirror images of each other. She was even called "the female ELVIS". I actually believe if it had not been for Priscilla, he would have married her. Throughout the years after they split up, ELVIS would always send her roses in the shape of a guitar, when she was opening a new show! She has told the story many times that on the day he died, she didn't get any flowers, and immediately knew something horrible had happened to him! For the rest of her life, she grieved for him!!! In many interviews, when asked about THE KING, she NEVER said a negative word about him! She loved him so much, that she had to be pulled away from his body and the casket by James Brown, who knew their love story! He loved him, too!!! Thank you, you two special people, for making my day! Your reactions are fantastic and always brighten my day!

I couldn't read my comment maybe I didn't send it so I'll say it again she did an interview with one-on-one with Charlie Rose show and I truly enjoyed it and Margaret is not one to post or talk bad about anybody she's such a lady and she and Elvis dated and had a beautiful romantic one year together before they realized he's got to get married to Priscilla because of the prior commitment and and Margaret fell in love with Roger Smith and they had a long long marriage until he passed away. But they also had this Kindred Souls and through the rest of Elvis's life on everyone of her opening night in Vegas he would send a guitar shape a beautiful roses and one time he surprised her in the audience it's in one of these Google sites that someone talks about the details.

In my teens and 20's, before I settled down, none of my friends had more success with females than me, and I had lots of friends, quite a few handsome ones too, so plenty of competition, but it wasn't even debatable as to who had the most success, and I attribute that ENTIRELY to having a fascination with my parents collection of Elvis movies. From the time I was knee-high I became addicted to Elvis movies. By the time I was in my teens I had seen them all, multiple times apiece, and whenever a friend asked me what my secret was with women I was never ashamed to admit it's because I learned everything I know about flirting with girls from watching Elvis movies. This little Cat & Mouse scene was fairly indicative of all his movies when it came to flirting with women: Confidence, never hang your head and look defeated if the first response you get is NO, learn how to laugh if off and/or have fun with it instead, no fear of rejection etc. There is so much you can learn about flirting with women, THAT WOMEN LIKE AND FIND ATTRACTIVE, just from observing his mannerisms.

Viva Las Vegas is a great movie. Elvis and Ann Margret considered each other soulmates. They stayed in touch until the very day he died when she knew that he'd died before the announcement was made or anyone told her because it was the only time he had not sent her a guitar shaped bouquet of flowers for her show in Vegas. She was called the female Elvis, starred in Bye Bye Birdie which is based on Elvis, and did a cover of Heartbreak Hotel.

Elvis should have made no more than a couple of films before going to Las Vegas and doing what he did best and that which none have matched - Live Shows. Consider the documentary "Elvis, That`s the Way It Is," and his performance of Tiger Man, Suspiscious Minds, Polk Salad Annie, I Just can`t Help Believing.... Patch it Up . `Second to no one live on stage between `68 and `71.
These two aren`t old enough to remember Elvis at that time - but back then he was as famous as every other entertainer in the world put together. He was just ridiculously famous, the poor chap, and exceptionally brilliant live.

Elvis was so smooth. But my research on him was surprising how he had insecurities. He was dating Ann and Priscilla and told his close friend that Ann was not right for him because she wanted a career and Elvis wanted a traditional stay at home woman. So he married Priscilla - even though he didn't want to marry her either. The maid that worked for Elvis found him crying the night before his wedding and he said he didn't want to get married, but was being pressured by his manager Parker and Priscilla's step-father. He should have stayed single as we all know it was just too much for him to stay with one woman. He was the ultimate womans fantasy man and great singer, dancer, and actor. My all time favorite.
