I purchased the fragrance from Lone Star Candle supply. They have some very interesting scents, I even got arugula, smells great.
Sometimes its just great to sit back and observe, like the fact it had no commentary not everyone would agree to that but that's LIFE .I really enjoyed watching this video learned a lot, the music wasn't bad. Love the little doggy in the background.

I never take the temp before adding the oil, when making these's ones the wax was hot, I should have waited for the wax to get cooler, just add the oil when you think its ok, youll still get a good throw..

i appreciate all your hard work i would like to hear you explaining instead of the music which gets irritating nice job otherwise I am just learning and like to hear instructions such as what did you sprinkle on at the end and do you get to reuse the wick part that you cut off, how long did it take for the candle cool enough to be able to put the lids on without condensation l love the colors
How hot are you pouring? My candles will start to solidify almost immediately, so any sort of movement or disturbance of the wax results in unstable wicks and messed up tops.
This session was a little to hot, should be just of solidifying if you don't want the colours to run to much, I just searched online and found a glass supplier.
We are wanting to try to swirl our soy candles. I noticed you are using dye drops to swirl. Are you using the dye at full strength? The dye we use 1 drop for two pounds makes a pastel 2 drops is a solid color. It would seem a little strong for a 10oz container. If you are using the dye at full strength does it affect the fragrance at all? "If" you are cutting it down ... what with? Sorry for all the question but we really like what you are doing in your video.
i used wax blocks to dye, and at full strength, didnt effect the scant at all as it was only a few drops, I should have waited for the wax to cool a little longer, and the dye wouldnt have spread so fast,

Does the 8 oz to 10 oz candles need 2 or 3 wix or just one, the reason I ask because the canas I normally buy a Bed Bath & Beyond which are 8 oz have three wix, I've just subscribed to your channel and I'm liking what I see so far, are the large ones glass or plastic and which one is better oh, I'm a beginner, sorry about all the questions 😩
You wick based off the diameter of your jar. Not the volume. Your candle burns based off diameter. If you just place any ol' wicks in a candle or double wick. You can overheat your container or experience tunneling.
Is that regular glue from glue sticks that you using to hold the wicks in place?

well depends on how much you add, if you want swirled affect, dont add to much and make it a strong

So it was just dye at the end that you were adding ? For some reason I thought it dyed wax
Is that pure dye or dyed wax you're using as color? Seems like if it were pure dye, the amount would totally saturate the white wax to red. When I tried this using IGI 4627 Comfort wax, my dye drops plummeted to the bottom of the container leaving dye dots on the bottom and straight line dye streaks from the surface down. The dye didn't float on top like yours did. Candle Science liquid candle dyes.

Crayons work really well as a wax die. Also I'm cheap and buy old candles from garage sales. I bought a 1 LB white unscented candle for 5 cents. That's about $5 cheaper than buying a 1LB block of wax from Michaels.

I use a dymo label printer, I don't know if they sell foil ones..
My wicks are 'floating away' when I use hot glue to stick my wick tab on to my metal tins. Do you know why this could be and what I should do about it? I switched to the wicking wax to stick the tabs down but sometimes they float up or move too and then the wick is under hardened wax the next time you want to light the same candle. Please help! :)
Hi,Could be your wax is a little to hot and is keeping the glue soft, maybe" Id try a different glue, or a cooler wax, after you have stuck the wick down and let it set awhile, try pulling on it, if it comes off easy, yeah get a more quality glue,
Amanda Gray, make sure you are using HI TEMP glue, if not you glue will soften with the hot wax. Also a little trick I learned a while back is to clean the bottom of the metal wick tab with some rubbing alcohol before you apply glue or a sticky tab. I also clean the bottom of the tins with alcohol as well. Heat is also a big factor. Just before I adhere my wicks to the tins, I put my heat gun into the tin and heat it up a tiny bit. Any type of glue regardless of use, like heat to adhere better. Make sure you do this well in advance of pouring the wax tho. Give the glue time to cool and harden again
Can I ask what you where injecting, was it liquid dye ?
yes, I put some melted wax aside and then added some candle dye to that that then started injecting it to the class containers.

Is your pouring jug plastic? I'm starting to make my own soy candles. And I'm wondering if the plastic measuring jugs are safe to use with the hot wax
yep it is, never get your wax that hot it will melt plastic, youll see your fragrance oil, steaming out if the wax is to hot

No way.. l added some shavings from wax blocks that's what the colour is not soap haha..

no, you have to get special dye. food coloring wont work as it is water based

hello, no it has to be glass jar, and yes I have used some perfumes for the fragrance, essential oil or fragrance all are good at 10% ratio to 90% wax

@@marisarouillon371 well I am no expert and not here to teach, I just make vids for the money, haha.. 90% was 10% fragrance I said that above, add the fragrance when the wax is around 20 degree Celsius and try to cool as slow as possible other wise the candle top will have a hole practise is the key..

Brandon Betts it can clog the wick if you use to much, and again dont use to much and there will be no fire, always text first

I'm Clueless as to What she Used in the Dropper!!! I'm a Newbie but wouldn't it be Better to let the Wax Cool a Bit Longer??? I'd like to make Actual White & Grey Marbled Ones... Any Suggestions as to what to use to get Black & White??? I'm guessing the Wax Coloring Blocks but I can't Imagine they make Grey. Could I melt down and Mix to make Actual Grey??? First off, she is running a business and just showing some of her work. She isn't just gonna show everything and give her business away. She offered her candles for sale and even her recipe. If you don't know how to make candles.. watch "Candle making 101 with Stanley" I believe it is.. he has EVERY video you can imagine on making candles.. and you need to be watching the ones that talk about "MELTING POINTS" ---- FLASH POINTS --- POURING POINTS --- You can have an explosion if you melt wax too high of temp and also adding a fragrance of just any kind can cause an explosion... adding a "Candle Fragrance" and not KNOWING the Flash Point (Cannot go over flash point or explodes) is dangerous. There really is a great deal that goes into candle making so my suggestion to those not happy that she didn't "hand her business over to you" ... watch other videos first.. and you will need to watch A LOT and really STUDY candle making / soap making before just throwing stuff together after watching a video. Not everyone makes videos for instructional purposes but sometimes to advertise their business and show you what all goes into it. For many (like me) this is their livelihood. Then sometimes it's for those that already have candle making down and they don't have to explain every single step. This lady nor anyone else that makes videos on youtube or yahoo or anywhere else......... "OWES" ---- NO ONE ---- ANYTHING.... that is the first mistake MANY people make when they go to watch a video....... the ones that you learn something from are "FREE GIFTS" so learn to "APPRECIATE" them instead of thinking they were made "just for you" and learn to be kind in your commenting regardless of what you think of someone's video.
