Proper Save is a must have tbh. It automatically saves the game at the start of each stage so that if you want to take a break and continue later you can, also protects your run against crashes and other technical problems.
I was going to comment this too! ProperSave is a requirement in my book as I don't usually have 30-60 mins to play so I can play it stage by stage. A note that if you are using ProperSave, it does not interact with the Goku character very well. You lose all of your upgraded levels upon loading.
Is this coop/multiplayer compatible? How do you know what mods are compatible in multiplayer games? New to modding scene and don’t want to get something that isn’t compatible with my friend.
a bit of a late comment sorry lmao, but i think we have to recognise that Risk of Rain 2 is a roguelike and having a save per-stage is kinda getting rid of the point of the game. But i understand the issue of not having time and losing progress and having your pc crash for leaving ror2 for too long which is i admit a bit of a headache. Which i think it should stay as a mod.
For anyone who wants BetterUi, the mod creator depreciated the mod after some drama, and the mod no longer works. Looking glass is a better alternative to the mod, and does what it does but better.
UnlockAll has the same mod creator and also were depreciated.; RealerCheatUnlocks allows you to unlock and lock anything you want by right clicking, so you have full control over your unlocks.; However, if you want to unlock everything, it requires a ton of clicking to do so, and you can't unlock correct characters in lobby using a mod like ScrollableLobbyUI, so you have to do it through the Logbook.; RealerCheatUnlocks is still way better than UnlockAll and it's author
that's what I was gonna say. I'm not surprised he didn't know though as most people don't want to spend all of their lunar coins on all the heresy items.
the reason why i think so many people love the TF2 Soldier mod is the different physics that the character uses. you'll notice you control a lot different in the air, as the mod developer made the character act as if it was in the source engine. its pretty sick, you should try chaining together rocket jumps if you havent
it's got fully functional bhopping too, airstrafing builds speed like in source games and you can even bhop to maintain speed from rocket jumps it's so sick
You are telling me I can do a faithful market garden across the map?? This mod is dangerous it might make me install TF2 again and spend hours in rocket jump maps.
rocket's alt primary are seeking rockets which are pretty good at dealing with wisps specifically very good when you have the regular utility since you don't have to waste huge damage on dealing with flying fodder
@@pinguin4898 I find that it throws off my aim against grounded targets in addition to the blast radius penalty. I'd rather risk missing an airshot or two in early game before all the wisps die from gasoline than have to use alt primary for the whole run
Playing as paladin is both fun and kind of hilarious, because with the right build -and a drug addiction- boss fights go full anime. See voidling, collide with voidling at high speed, slash voidling to death with giant sword.

My favorite character mod rn is The House. It's so fun playing as a walking roulette wheel where you have a 1/6 chance of instantly dying. He's so funny.

The split screen mod is awesome, I was super into risk of rain and was disappointed to see they didn’t have a local co op like the original. I’ve had no problems with it :)
The reason why the rocket with the shovel does so much damage and crits is because of an item you can unlock in tf2, it basically just does crits after you rocket jump.
A few mods to add are definitely the paladin mod and the house. Also there's a mod called unofficial risk of ruina if i remember the name right and it adds 2 pretty good survivors and a few items, or maybe just one white item and it's just an item to proc a debuff of one of the characters. Also rocket can detonate the rockets mid air with m2 and use that to rocket jump across the air, well overall the rocket jumping is pretty damn overpowered allowing you to just go 10x the speed you normally should.
Three modded characters I find fun are Miner, The House, and Gurren Lagann. The miner is a returning ror character and can be pretty strong given the right build; mo' money mo' attack speed. I think more speed in general? The House is..... Chaotic. You have a deck of cards that do all sorts of things good and bad. And some are down right awful. Wanna cause the stage to detonate? Maybe have a 1/6 chance to kill every enemy in the stage and receive a red, OR just die, or a 4/6 chance to do nothing? And as for Gurren Lagann. It's op. Glad to see the Ganondorf mod as well the enforcer.
Personally I think unlock all is the worst mod by far. New players will see it and not think much of it but everyone who's played the game vanilla knows how much more that hunt for unlocks and later eclipse levels adds to the game. If you're a new player and you use it you're losing possibly hundreds of hours of enjoyment from the game without even knowing it
depends who u ask, i personally probably wouldnt even bother playing the game without unlockall because i think farming unlocks just to use a build is boring
@@iconbluesn5648 Obviously it's just my opinion but I feel like you have no idea what you've missed. The time I spent learning the game was fun because I always had different challenges to work towards, when I unlocked everything I continued playing for a bit but got bored since there was now like nothing to do or work towards. When I found out about eclipse that brought me back to the game and it's probably my favourite part of the game now, it's so satisfying getting those badges and I'm not even finished yet. Basically if I had unlocked everything I would have got bored with the base game MUCH faster. I probably wouldn't have even reached 100 hours before getting bored or resorting to modded content (no disrespect intended towards modded content lol)
I feel like Unlock All would be good for those who are stuck with a few unlockables left, and have tried for hours to get them to no avail, and are getting too frustrated from building specifically for it. I’ve logged quite a bit of time in, and I still haven’t unlocked all the items. I have like 3 left.
I had a good run as enforcer where I managed to get up to 80000 shield and had 10 plasma shrimps on monsoon. I got stunlocked by void reavers and couldn’t charge the escape ship fast enough to get off the moon
Two good character mods are DaredevilMod and Deputy, both are much smaller mods but the models are designed originally to fit into risk of rain 2's artstyle. also, both of daredevil's alt abilities are really fun and you should try them for yourself.
17:25 this is one of my favorite ror2 characters and you missed why: The ability to rocket jump and here's some tips: - C4 + M1 + M2 causes you to go flying (unless you have bomb shovel) - You can detonate rockets AND C4 mid air - Picking up 3 back-up mags allow you to detonate every shot of your R, allowing you to hit the sky box or scale the map - You can skip pillars, even without mags yea basically go weeeeeeeeee (don't forget to shoot a rocket to dampen fall damage)
I'm a bit disappointed that you havent included the one and only PALADIN-Mod into the list of characters. The Paladin is an amazing modded character you can play.
personally my favorite survivor mod has to be "The House". Basically its a gambling survivor where the bullet in your six round revolver have different damage effects and to reload, you pick from three cards that have a specific effect to you/your stats. He's really fun and while it can take a while to learn all the cards, there can be a lot of depth in the gameplay.
Hey there context for the soldier rocket jumping shovel tech, in Team Fortress 2 there’s an equippable item in the game called the “Market Gardener” it’s a shovel that does crit damage (3x) if the player hits another player while rocket jumping.
The Arsonist mod is the one of the best moodded character He has excellent voice acting and sounds like a real maniac who is full of bloodthirstiness He's also fun to play and he's pretty balanced
I think it's important to note that Inferno is also incredibly customizable. In my opinion, it's artifact of genetics++ 2.0 on steroids. You can make any enemy scale however you'd like as quickly or as slowly as you like. My personal setup is reducing health scaling a lot, and putting everything else to almost max. It's very interesting having super strong and fast enemies that are mostly difficult because they're hard to hit rather than taking so long to kill.
Something to note with the Goku mod is that if you also have the Vegeta mod and play multiplayer, if you and your partner play as Goku and Vegeta, then you can inituate a combination super attack.
EliteSkins is a must-have aesthetics mod because it lets you choose the appearance of any elite aspect. You choose the aspect separately from the skin so it allows for all sorts of extra customizability Also I personally really like the skin mod that turns commando into a protogen, but I understand it's not for everyone
Surprised the Archipelago mod didn't make it in. It's a multigame multiworld randomizer program, which allows you to combine randomizers from different games into one cooperative experience. There are two modes for the RoR2 implementation: Classic which is something of a roguelike (every predefined X number of chests you open rewards a multiworld item, for you or for your friends), and the Explore mode which is Classic but like a Metroidvania. The idea is you find and unlock access to the various different levels, working your way up to the ability to complete a full run. Takes some sorting out if you've never done multiworld games before, but the mod side of things is reasonably easy.
My favorite skin mod is Beach Captain Captain in a tank top 🤤 The Umbral Mithrix fight goes so hard, its genuenly a huge improvement over the original fight
I love the Malenia Mod, as well as the Space Seraphim mod that makes Malenia blend in with the game better. Gudako X10 is pretty fun to play with, even though no matter how you adjust it, it can get quite broken. But, if you’re terrible at the game like me, it can really help to adjust in moderation.
I am incredibly disappointed that you didnt mention that the TF2 Soldier has SOURCE MOVEMENT, WHAT??? You can B Hop, air strafe, and rocket jumping works EXACTLY as it does in TF2. He's also got huge variation in his loadouts, which is amazing. He's so customizable, if you have ANY experience with TF2, or even another Source game's movement, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out. The best thing is easily the source movement though, hats off to whoever made the mod for the incredible implementation, it feels so good to move around in a huge map with it.
9:00 You stated that ancient scepter upgrades a random ability. This isnt true, what it actually does is that it upgrades your fourth ability, and only that ability. It will also reroll unusable stacks of the scepter into random other red items. This includes playing custom survivors that dont have a scepter implementation.
Enforcer adds two characters instead of one. The second one opens if you kill him in the abyss (with a prison cell), Nemesis Enforcer who has a sledgehammer and instead of a shield - a large-caliber minigun)
Miner is a fav survivor mod that puts another ror1 character into ror2 and very well. There's a couple items mods I really like as well, the classic items from ror 1 mod, just nice little items from ror1 to add in, as well as league of legends items, which are kinda strong ngl but still very fun
[ 12:09 ] If this mithrix's move made me struggle with mithrix and made me die, Imagine me with 3 of them Also, [ 16:03 ] I dont think we need them anymore, Chef is in the Seekers of the Storm DLC
The reason the shovel is insanely op for TF2 Soldier is because it's the market garden from TF2 and acts just the same, RJ into the air and then land a market garden, it instantly kills the enemy.
Since mods are such a huge part of this game, I wonder why they dont do a workshop? Maybe because that will make many mods not compatible with eachother?
Also check out the PvP mod, KingKombatArena! This one is super fun with friends. It gets crazy when you add other mods on top like other survivors and extra items

My favorite skin mod is Beach Captain
Captain in a tank top 🤤
The Umbral Mithrix fight goes so hard, its genuenly a huge improvement over the original fight
Enforcer is also a character from ROR1, just like Chef.
Paladin is another amazing survivor mod one of my favorite modded characters i have ever come across
This was mentioned with the Chef mod, but not the Enforcer mod, but both of the characters are from the first Risk of Rain
If I followed your advice, I would never think again.
I love how he says that the ancient scepter and ancient wisp is new, yet they are both in risk of rain 1.
iS THAT THE FURI SOUNDTRACK I HEAR? NICE
Enforcer adds two characters instead of one. The second one opens if you kill him in the abyss (with a prison cell), Nemesis Enforcer who has a sledgehammer and instead of a shield - a large-caliber minigun)
Silly Items is a must for every risk of rain run
Tinkerers Satchel and Aetherium are really good as well for adding new stuff to the game
Miner is a fav survivor mod that puts another ror1 character into ror2 and very well. There's a couple items mods I really like as well, the classic items from ror 1 mod, just nice little items from ror1 to add in, as well as league of legends items, which are kinda strong ngl but still very fun
[ 12:09 ] If this mithrix's move made me struggle with mithrix and made me die,
Imagine me with 3 of them
Also,
[ 16:03 ] I dont think we need them anymore, Chef is in the Seekers of the Storm DLC
The reason the shovel is insanely op for TF2 Soldier is because it's the market garden from TF2 and acts just the same, RJ into the air and then land a market garden, it instantly kills the enemy.
great vid, discovered a bunch of nice mods!
Me after downloading all these mods and completely ceasing to think entirely:
Also 18:38 “from smash bros ultimate” bruh
Paladin mod and The House mod should've been on the characters list aswell, The House combined with the Randomizer mode is pure insanity
I just have one doubt about ROR2 mods: They disable anything? like getting new items you didn't unlocked before or achievements?
You are a really good youtuber o hope you get famous
Very tasteful inclusion of FURI music. You gained a sub
I think I'll never be able to think again.
more best mods please selection is better than other content creators imo
Since mods are such a huge part of this game, I wonder why they dont do a workshop?
Maybe because that will make many mods not compatible with eachother?
Also check out the PvP mod, KingKombatArena! This one is super fun with friends. It gets crazy when you add other mods on top like other survivors and extra items
Another survivor mod you should get is the Hunk mod, it includes Hunk and Nemesis from Resident Evil
"man wtf did it just take from me"
Surprised Paladin wasn't mentioned in the character section, arguably the best made modded character ever.
Highly recommend Wolfo's Quality of Life mod. Has a ton of visual readability improvements for many aspects of the game.
Ancient sceptar is from risk of rain 1
should have mentioned wellroundedbalance and gamers of the cracked emoji. they're both made by the same people and are very high quality
Any reason you didn't cover the Mystics Items Mod?
You can rocket jump with the rocket survivor too! It's really really fun and makes the character surprisingly mobile
I'll close this video and never think about it again.
> Complains about Enforcer's balance
> Lists Goku and Malenia
Are you fucking kidding me lmao
