Hey, Levi.. I want to personally thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make and post this video. This video will be extremely helpful to me, seeing how I have to remove my bumper and have it repainted soon. Love that the lady helped out. She is awesome. Thank you both.
Thanks, nice video showing the necessary steps without going off topic. I'll be tackling this in the next week or so except switching out my damaged stock bumper for a turbo bumper. I have had all the bits and pieces sitting in my garage for over a year but you've given me confidence. You're lucky having a competent assistant, it will definitely take me longer as I've got to do it myself.
Great vid. A tip for taking off and fitting the bumper back on. The bit where to have to squeeze it between the wings. Pop some masking tape on the wings to protect them, pop one side in, then pull the middle of the bumper up to flex in the middle, this allows the other end to be popped in. Remove masking tape 👍
I did this a while ago. I took the opportunity to change BOTH 0.45 Ohm ballast resistors - HVAC & oil cooler - as they can literally be so brittle they are 'there' but not functional.
Thanks for the video, my 1995 993 is at the shop right now having this done. We are currently waiting for a stable gun to attach the rubber molding. The shop is a certified Porsche body shop. You used double sided tape? Not sure if the staple gun is the correct way but that’s what they are saying.
Staple gun is the right way, but I didn't want to invest in one (not sure of cost). When I spoke with a shop, they mentioned they'd have to find a staple gun too. I'm not sure I would want to put holes into the bumper with staples. And won't staples eventually rust? I know tape will come lose, but the tape is rather easy to replace. Either way, good luck!
@@levifisk6401 thanks man, i guess at this point I’ll just keep waiting… it’s been three weeks now and no gun. I am surprised the shop didn’t have one already, oh well. I’ll report back regarding the results. Thanks
Hey, nice job and nice car. C2S? I have the same front bumper design and unfortunately parked too close to a kerb last year and damaged the lower section. Did you notice whilst yours was off if the bottom section comes away easily? Would be great if I could just take them off the aerokit pieces either side for the repair job rather than the whole bumper...
I understand it to be the stock bumper but with a few items added or removed. The bumperettes were removed, filled in and/or replaced with the fogs/air ducts. On the bottom of the bumper are aerokit pieces that look amazing. Also the headlight washers were deleted, but otherwise, the design is stock.
I don't have any records for new headlight purchases. I think what has been done is the plastic pieces inside and the bulbs themselves were replaced/upgraded. These do look particularly good and clean. The lights also have PPF on them.

Great pointer, it was not intuitive at all.

Thanks for posting. Typical Porsche owner - not happy till it's perfect.
True! But I also take care of my stuff, from the valuable to the mundane.
Thank you. I’ll follow right behind your videos 👍

I'm pretty sure the winglets could come off themselves.
Great Vid, thanks.
Hey, what’s your cric and support ?
So easy whit it
Thanks
What bumper is that? It doesn't looks stock for a c2 and it looks pretty good.

@@levifisk6401 Those aerokit pieces on the bottom of the bumper do look amazing, that's what caught my eye
The bottom corners are techart parts, still available from porsche
@@levifisk6401 Did you do the delete on the headlight washers yourself - if so, how?
Off subject but are they stock headlights? They look clearer then mine and I like the look.

@@levifisk6401 thanks, I appreciate your reply.
In a few months I'll be doing a Sunroof install. Have you done one yet?
Hi Trenton, I have not done anything with the sunroof yet as mine is in tip top shape for now.
Where did you get the hydraulic jack and stands ?
