About to do my first one tomorrow. So you push the needle all the way in or are you supposed to only put it halfway, 3/4 in? In other words how deep are you actually supposed to stick the needle in lol I’m probably just overthinking
@@chrisanthony9646 If you don't go deep enough it may not go into the muscle, depending on how much fat you have. That would make it a subcutaneous injection, which is also completely fine, either way will do the trick.

Glad I watched this. I've never went that high up on the glute with my injections. I would've thought that was way too high. Just did in exact spot as you did. That was the smoothest Injection ive ever had! Thanks!
Top right quadrasection of the glute. Draw a vertical line, top to bottom on the glute, then draw another line left to right (right to left) splitting your glute into 4 sections. Then aim anywhere in the top right section.
It is actually THEE proper area to inject into when injecting into the glutes. I’ve been doing testosterone injections for 25 plus years and never once had any problems… and also if the person injecting is on the heavier side and has a higher level of body fat going lower on the glute with the syringe you may not get it into the muscle properly…. I:E = deep enough Jmo
I just did my first dose of test. going slow and easy was so much safer than plunge it in. you feel literally nothing, less than a mosquito bite, and after 1mm under the skin you can just relax, breath and press it down further.

Get a 25 gauge or even as small as a 27-28 gauge would work, just would be slow to push all the oil out. Just to let both of you know if you can use your other hand to press your fingers in around the injection site it will distract the nerves so you won't feel the needle. Like I would reach around my back with my left arm and press my fingers into my skin around the site and then inject with my right arm. I also always pull in with the needle first right after injecting it before plunging to make sure I don't pull any blood in and if I do I move the injection site just to avoid hitting a vein or large capillary. I also like to wipe the site with a sterile guaze after wiping with alcohol just to make sure its not going to sting just quicker than waiting for it to evaporate on its own.

Your doctor is giving you a useless dose of testosterone. I also assume you mean 200mg rather than ml. If you did 200ml you’d be filling up 200 syringes a month. Anyways, I inject 300mg per week. 150mg twice a week. And my blood levels are right around where they should be. Ask your doctor to increase the dose. But your doctor likely won’t do that because I’m your insurance only will cover so much. Find yourself a TRT clinic that will dose you correctly.
Why didn't they just give you pills/the oral way? Injecting like that causes low grade infections. Same way people get infections by getting bit by ants or stung by mosquitoes sometimes. But this is worse because sometimes those vials are contaminated, they grow mold.

I have energy, I sleep well, no more brain fog.. I have ambition and my ED issues are a thing of the past.. that’s the best part… and I’m losing fat and building muscle back that I had lost.. it’s amazing.. I cannot be;I’ve that every man over 50 isn’t doing this… it should be part of insurance and definitely part of Medicare … but they rather have you sick I guess .. they think it costs too much… I think they are wrong.. Quick tip I learned, put your thumb on your hip bone, bend your middle 3 fingers, extend your pinky and where it lands is where you want to be. It's worked for me for 20 years.
Thanks for this video I just did my first injection after I watched this video and it went good. Right after I gave myself the shot I got queezy and hot I started sweating so I laid down in front of the fan a few mins got some water now I’m good. Thanks a lot bro!
the horizontal is suppose to be further down. you are shooting way too high up on your hip. one day you will inject there and a bunch of liquid will start coming out. I've made this mistake before. you will see what I'm talking about if you keep injecting that high up on your hip.
I havent done IM in over a year now, moved to SubQ. Every doctor I saw about injection sites told me different spots on my glute and it gave me anxiety not knowing which area.
Great tips especially standing on opposite leg so you can relax that cheek(lol) and not waiting around and thinking about it too much. Thanks and I hope all is well
Thank you for this video! I also have to start to do it on my own and you video teached me few things. One more thing, you forgot to do a vein check, it's very important.
Do t forget to pull back to make sure you didn’t hit a vein and draw blood into the syringe. I would go slow in case there’s a nerve so it has a chance to move away from the needle instead of being punctured.
Hey Bud, I want to thank you for the instructional videos. I just started with Hormone Replacement Therapy and at first I had to go get the shot at my doctor’s office (very time consuming though pain free), saw your video and tried in my leg but gave me a lot of pain hours after the injection even a soreness for couple of days. Now I’ll try the gluteal area on my own. I use 200 mg of a brand called Perrigo on a weekly basis. Do you experience any difference between brands?
Hittin’em with that single-hand gluteal rizz? Take notes. That’s some advanced technique. Seriously though your videos have been helpful. I’ve been doing intramuscular injections for the last 2~ years or so and my doctor just recently suggested trying subcutaneous injections to see if that makes it any more tolerable so we’ll see.
I was doing intramuscular injections for 10 years- hated them- after doing some research and talking to other men with my condition, I switched to Sub-Q 3 years ago- [my doc isn't up on the latest research] but my hormone levels have remained stable, my estradiol is lower, and I'll never need to worry about hitting a branch of my sciatic nerve ever again.
He did not he did it in the glute medius the glutes go higher up than what most people think my knocked is I’m a licensed massage therapist and personal trainer
Doing a massage of the site after an injection can cause the drug to back up through the subcutaneous tissue, so any type of massage is to be avoided with intramuscular injections. I found this while researching and don't think we should rub the site afterwards?
Thank you for this video! I've been injecting into my thigh for several months but now my NP is pretty insistent I start injecting into my hip. I pointed out that "my little T-rex arms" are not really designed for that. I have several nurse and medical friends but I want to be able to do it all myself. Thanks again!
Hi Ryan, I truly appreciate what ur doing & also educating us on proper needle edict... I sometimes have soreness in my quads after a shot for 3-4 days to the point that leg won't bend, do have any advice or tips? Thx bro 😎 cheers
Relax your muscles the best you can. Let you leg hang off the bed or do your shot lying down with your leg straight and relaxed. Also dont push the T in so fast.
That was smooth, same area I do it in. You really dont feel it at all. I wait a few second before taking the needle out tho, just cause some testosterone tends to come out.
Thank you for the clarification. I did inject my quad n was wrong site hit caplri now its hard but getting better. Ill try your advice now im worried hinting the bone at upper glute. Will let you know how i get on. Thanks again
I've been doing testosterone injections (2x/wk) for close to a year now. I started in the butt, which had very little pain. But because I wasn't able to draw back on the plunger to ensure I wasn't about to inject in a vein, after two experiences seeing blood spurt out and quite a mess, I decided it was better to deal with a little more pain and be safe in the process. Are you using a 1.5" needle. And do you not need to draw back on the plunger?
You’re not likely to hit a vein in the glute as long as your in the upper outer quadrant. There’s not many veins around that area. You’ll know if you’ve hit a vein within 2 or 3 seconds anyway because some of the oil will leak into the vein
Yes you want to use a 1 1/2 in needle. To ensure it goes in deep enough. Always pull beck before injecting to ensure your safe. If it is cold as it should be. Warm it up in a cup of warm/hot water.
Thanks for the help man! Just diagnosed with Low T. My doctor said that I should inject horizontally from the top of my butt crack. And then centered vertically. You seemed experienced and yours was a a little higher. Do you have feedback? Thanks bro
Honestly, ive never really had any doctors help me until I started advocating and asking questions. From everything I've googled about it to asking my doctor, and going to a testosterone clinic, this is what I've gathered to be the spot. Well away from the sciatica nerve. Hopefully, this helps.
I didn’t really have doctors help me with it either, so you’re not alone on that. Videos like yours helped me on here with everything and I really love your channel bro!
Hey! I’m just wondering, don’t you need to pull back on the spot before you inject to see the air come out and not blood, with glute injections? Or that isn’t really necessary?
How long a needle were you using? It’s relevant since glutes do have a layer of fat you want to get beyond through so you reach the muscle. I noticed a 23g needle can vary in lengths of 26mm all the way to 38mm which is a pretty wide range leaving a lot of room to hit or miss. I’ll appreciate the answer
You need to use long blue for your gluteus. I'd keep the needle in for a few seconds after you're finished so no oil spills back out of the injection sight

Today I panicked because I stuck the needle in (and I always aspirate, there was no blood) but as I started to push the medication in it hurt like hell so I pulled the needle out and blood came out and I have a little ball on my glute. Spent like an extra 20 mins trying to get this right because I’m right handed and it bubbled up where I usually always go. Anyway your video was helpful. I took a deep breath and just did it right above the little bubble and so far so good.
Did it heal by now?
@@user-sy3in3lc2g yes , all good 👍 I do shots every 2 weeks. I try to have my dr do one in office a month so I don’t have to, but depends if he has the testosterone in the office or not.
@@ph5145 was most likely just you going into scar tissue. Happens to me on my shoulders due to tons of scar tissue. My doc says it’s normal you just need to switch the injection sights
you MISR aspirate... poor technique used here
Thanks for this!
I’ve been visiting my doc weekly because I don’t have anyone to give me the shot. Im going to try doing it myself using a mirror I’d think? Be so much more convenient than driving to the Dr every Monday.
It really makes me feel so much better!
Im 57 and my T had tanked to 150 or so. Thought how I was feeling was just my age. After 2nd dose feel like myself again physically and mentally
This is the funniest video I would do just what you said for hours standing in front of the mirror sweating and having a panic attack lol
Fair play lad! I injected TRT for the first time myself & I’ll admit, despite having tattoos I’m an absolute fucking chicken shit with needles.
I watched this video three times, on the third time as you counted down to inject; I did too. You were finished faster than me but it’s not a race I guess.
Basically, just a thank you. This was genuinely a big help, undoubtedly awkward as I stood naked in the bathroom with my wife offering to do it outside but I’m glad I got it done. This video is absolute gold!
Your comment wins the internet today. Thanks for the laugh!
Damn bro im 23 i wanna get big but im legit scared af thank you for having courage to upload this
No worries.
Hey, thank you so much for your video. It’s been a while since I’ve done a gluteal shot and this really helped me out a lot. Thank you so much you’re very brave to post this and I appreciate it.
I’m on TRT best thing I ever did for myself..I’m 59… was really suffering from low T and didn’t know. Thought it was just what happens as you get older … and it is what happens when you get older… but going on testosterone, Sermorelin and Metformin .. has made me feel like I’m 30 again.. I think this will actually prevent illness
As soon as you said 3..2..1 GO! I stuck it in 😂😂 and I swear I didn’t feel it and no blood like the last 2 times ! I was going WAY too low before lol thanks man 👍🏽
YES!!!!
Hahahaha lfg
U must get a script cuz you're really small.
@@robertwilson5305 yeah I was pretty small 8 years ago in my pic lol thanks for researching 😀
Before the injection, don't you have to pull first to see if you put it in the muscle or a vain? Thanks for the video, makes it very clear now!
thanks for the vid man! im transgender and looking to switch from thigh to butt and this was a great demonstration :)

Same! Glute hurts less for me, but it's so weird injecting myself there
gross
Thanks for the video it really helped! I did my third injection.. & I realised every time 1 day after injection the injection area start to feel pain.. the higher the dose more more hurtful it feel the next day for 2-3 days.. is that normal or I did smtg wrong.
Higher than I go, but shows me that I can move upward when I need to spread the love around.
Thanks for your input!
Bro is actually a legend for showing this!
haha thanks mate!
Great film. And how do you do with one hand the absorption?
the horizontal is suppose to be further down. you are shooting way too high up on your hip. one day you will inject there and a bunch of liquid will start coming out. I've made this mistake before. you will see what I'm talking about if you keep injecting that high up on your hip.
I havent done IM in over a year now, moved to SubQ. Every doctor I saw about injection sites told me different spots on my glute and it gave me anxiety not knowing which area.
Transguy here this is super helpful to us too! Thank you!! Just did my first shot (have been on gel for 2 years) with you!
No you are not.
Stop lying to yourself.
Ur a woman
Have you tried icing the area before doing the injection?
Thank you this is definitely one of the best vids out here.
Wow, thanks!
Great tips especially standing on opposite leg so you can relax that cheek(lol) and not waiting around and thinking about it too much. Thanks and I hope all is well
Absolutely!
Thank you for this video!
I also have to start to do it on my own and you video teached me few things.
One more thing, you forgot to do a vein check, it's very important.
None of the doctors I’ve ever seen have told me to aspirate. Only learned about this via UA-cam.
Do t forget to pull back to make sure you didn’t hit a vein and draw blood into the syringe.
I would go slow in case there’s a nerve so it has a chance to move away from the needle instead of being punctured.
Thanks for this! I did the same spot you injected your glutes and didn’t feel a thing. 😊
You prob pushed the T in to fast. Nope never had any problems with different brands.
Thanks for the info. I’m Taking my first ever shot of test right now.
Thanks for making this video man.
Glad you liked it!
Ryan just made a video on his SubQ incjection, huge game changer for sure!
I am a total newbie with AAS however I am looking forward into researching through TEST 400
Upper right quadrant or upper left quadrant looks like he did an injection into his back
He did not he did it in the glute medius the glutes go higher up than what most people think my knocked is I’m a licensed massage therapist and personal trainer
Thank you for this my man, went smoothly 👍
Glad it helped!
Just got the stuff, haven't done my first dose yet....I'm scared🥴
Doing a massage of the site after an injection can cause the drug to back up through the subcutaneous tissue, so any type of massage is to be avoided with intramuscular injections.
I found this while researching and don't think we should rub the site afterwards?
That needle is huge. Is that necessary. The syringe they gave me is definitely smaller.
Bro this was a lot of help! Thanks
Glad it helped!
He’s injecting in his lower back. Not the glute. My moms a nurse. And she showed me and drew it exactly. And she’s from the golden age of juice.
@@axiomloves21 your mom is from the golden age of juice alright.
@@timfulmer5850 😂
Great video, very informative and made it less stressful for me. Ty
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much, using this as a watch along helps alot!
Glad it helped!
DUDE ur such a soldier
im literally sheting myself
i know its hard but glad to know self administration is possible. thanks for demonstration
thank you so much, the position really helped me although that rubbing at the end, I think, is not necessary
This was very helpful video thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video! I've been injecting into my thigh for several months but now my NP is pretty insistent I start injecting into my hip. I pointed out that "my little T-rex arms" are not really designed for that. I have several nurse and medical friends but I want to be able to do it all myself. Thanks again!
Shouldn't you check if there is blood by first draw out before injecting?
Thank you for sharing. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks man. I’ve failed twice already with the glut injections. I’ll try again next week with the new tips.
Are you good at it now?
Is this a 1 inch or 1.5inch needle length?
Great video ...basic right to the point....
@@LivingwithXXY awesome, thank u I appreciate it, & thx for the vid in the glut... For some reason I have anxiety on that one.
That was smooth, same area I do it in. You really dont feel it at all. I wait a few second before taking the needle out tho, just cause some testosterone tends to come out.
Thanks for the tips!
Aspirating is not practiced anymore. Latest literature says it is not needed.
Videos like yours helped me on here with everything and I really love your channel bro!
did you mention the needle length?
Hey! I’m just wondering, don’t you need to pull back on the spot before you inject to see the air come out and not blood, with glute injections? Or that isn’t really necessary?
Is there a big risk flr infection?
What size of injection do you use for injecting? 1 inch or longer?
Thanks for the video ☺️ is there a problem to insert the bubble (back into the muscle) that comes out after the aspiration.
Why didn't he aspirate?
Thank you for your help and you are very helpful good luck .
Happy to help
How long a needle were you using? It’s relevant since glutes do have a layer of fat you want to get beyond through so you reach the muscle. I noticed a 23g needle can vary in lengths of 26mm all the way to 38mm which is a pretty wide range leaving a lot of room to hit or miss. I’ll appreciate the answer
1 inch to 1 1/2 inch
Can I ask, you have 2 different size of blues needles, does it have to be the longer one?
I’ve been doing injections for several months now but recently I’ve had to push really hard to get the needle to penetrate and it also hurts.
You need to use long blue for your gluteus. I'd keep the needle in for a few seconds after you're finished so no oil spills back out of the injection sight
Is there a reason for not pulling it back to see of there is blood?
If you know someone like me that is EMS at our local fire station just have them do it. I was freaking out just watching this vid.
Shouldn’t you pull a little bit the check if there is a blood or not before emptying the syringe?
The doctors ryan has had over the years have never mentioned this and hes been on TRT for 24 years now.
do you need to pull back on the plunger to check for blood?
I watched this video to help me about learning injections. I'm hundreds of injections in now. Its easy peasy now.
I have a question if you can help me.
What does we’re you taking?
