It's nerve racking. I've been injecting myself once every other week for over a year and always dread it. It's not hard, doesn't usually hurt, never hit a vessel, but stabbing yourself always just makes me nervous for some reason.

    Mine hurts like hell bro.
I seen them do it in another video and they call it the z method I believe but when I let the pressure off I could feel the needle moving and ripping through my muscle and it hurts. I didn't even inject at that time I pulled out and pinned a few inches away exactly like you did and have no pain. Thanks man.

I've been doing this for about 4 years now, twice a week. The one thing that I have been doing for about a year now is pre- and post-massage. What I have found is that if I simply do the injection as you did in the vid here, I will on occasion get a lump from the injection which will be painful and will persist for several days.
So, before even cleaning the thigh area, I do a brisk massage (basically rubbing up and down the thigh muscle with the heel of my hand) for about 30 seconds or so, until I can feel that the muscle is nicely warmed up.
Then I do pretty much the same as you, except I do the syringe by hand, just dart it into the muscle (very similar to your mechanism, in effect).
Once I have completed the injection and swabbed the area, I leave it for a few seconds to dry and then I once again massage the area. This time I massage until I feel it was enough - some days that will be 20 or 30 seconds, some days if I think I feel a bit of a lump I may massage for a minute or more.
since I have been doing the massaging, I have had very few painful lumps - and then only really when I have been in a hurry and not massaged enough.
By the way, I use a 29 gauge needle most of the time. This helps with slowing down the rate of injection, which I find to be a good thing.
One more thing. I used to do testosterone twice a week, but I found that it was difficult to manage especially DHT. Since about a year ago I have switched to testosterone once a week, and nandrolone once a week. Nandrolone is essentially testosterone with one atom swapped out in the molecule. Since nandrolone does not convert to DHT nor does it convert to estrogen it is perhaps worth considering if you are on TRT - for me, at any rate, it seems to work fairly well as a half-substitute.

@@threestans9096 I'm an Ex IV Opiate user, I don't use an autoinjector (yet...) but I've been on Methadone for the past 8 Years with a couple relapses...but I am now 6 Years and 11 Months clean from Opiates...(I am on Suboxone to get off the Methadone, and although it gives somewhat of a Stressed out/Jittery Feeling, for TRT, it's much better since it doesn't seem to affect my Testosterone Levels as much...) it's also so much easier to get off of than Methadone...
I mean, I never IV'd my Neck or Crotch Area, but at one point, I was taking 10MG of Fentanyl a day! (10x1mg shots), I also killed my Forearm Veins...(they were sooo nice, IYKYK LOL)
But IM and IV is much different! Not the same feeling at all...
In fact it's a Chore and a Pain to do it...
Also, there are no "Withdrawals" so you don't necessarily feel like you Need To, or Want To...
If I break something in my body like a bone or whatever an am in pain, I'll gladly take IV Dilaudid or even IM Dilaudid, but there's no Pleasant Feelings or High that arises from Testosterone, but doing my Injections in my thighs is something I NEVER look forward to! It'd be a Different story if it was Nice, High Quality Opiates (S.E.A Heroin/Dilaudid or Something along those lines...aside from Morphine since it has NO Effect Whatsoever on me..).
But yeah, Trust me there's nothing to be Scared aside from sticking a 1.5" 22g Needle inside your Thigh or Buttucks.
      Good Luck Bud!

Thank you, I just started my own T replacement therapy. Funny thing is I'm a phlebotomist but I specialized in plasmapheresis and venipuncture, not IM 😅 now actually you can have air at the top and push a little bit of air in at the end which will hold the testosterone from coming out. Dont be too scared of a little bit of air with IM. It's ok. I know it's scary to think about, but it won't hurt you. Thank you for the terrific video.

I've been doing TRT for 8 years and I switched over to 30g insulin needs about 4 years back. I can tell you that my levels stay at around 1000 with around 1cc per week so there's no detriment to not going deep. The insulin needles are 0.3 so I do my injections every other day to keep the levels steady. I load the small syringes in batches by taking out the plunger and backfilling with a larger gauge syringe. Its a tougher push to get the thick liquid through the small gauge needle, but its better than being a human pincushion with those larger needles.

I’ve got a son who spent some radical time in the NICU last year before we found out after genetic testing that he has XXY. Thanks for posting these videos. I am a 62 year old male form Holland and I have been using testosterone since I was diagnosed with KS at the age of 22. Back then the only treatment was a an injection once every 3 weeks. After a while there were pills available and now I use Androgel.
    My experience:
As I can compare, for me the injections were terrible because of the extreme sex drive in the first days after the injection. Pills and gel took care of that: testosterone is entering the body gradually. According to my internists through the years, all treatments work well for me.
A question: why do you recommend gel for young guys especially, as I saw in one of your other posts?
Thanks in advance for your view on this. Take care!

Just to elaborate yes it's bases on what insurance will cover but anything can be approved with proof of medical necessity most of the time. The biggest advantage to the gel or patches is you don't have such a peak and low with injections you get a high peak the first day or 2 and then it drops off rapidly which can also elevate your red blood cell count which can cause you to not be able to use testosterone. I recommend using pellets they inserted in the butt cheek every 4 to 6 months and I have seen very good results hope this helps.

I started giving myself testosterone injections a few months ago and today I had to do an injection and hit a blood vessel and it was bleeding pretty good. I had major anxiety just putting the needle in. The auto injector looks like it makes it much easier. Where did you find it or where do I purchase one? Thank you for this video!

Guys get smaller needles stop injecting with those harpoons when your oil volume is so small there is no need for going that deep. Something between ½-3/4 inch and 27-30 gauge. Single use insulin syringes works also just fine.

    • @CurtisKinne
      @CurtisKinne 3 місяці тому +2

I did the shallow inter-muscular with insulin needles for a while. Sometimes it seemed like it didn’t absorb into the muscle like it should. Like it would seep out of the muscle because it wasn’t deep enough. I use a 25g 1” now. It’s only minutely bigger than the 27g, and gets a little deeper into the muscle. I think it works better.

Thank you! My husband just started on weekly T shots for low T. He asked me to do it. I've given the cats subs fluid but never on a human!
I have needle anxiety. I just gave him his 3rd shot. It's terrible. The T is so thick I have a hard time pushing in the med. The needle goes up and down in his leg. I feel terrible. He hurts for a couple of days.
I really like the auto injector. Just Googled them. There are so many options my head is swimming. Can you recommend your supplier and model?
I don't push the needle all the way into his leg. I've seen other videos where the needle goes all the way in. Maybe it will be easier to push in the meds if the needle is all the way into the tissue.
I keep telling myself I'll get better. Poor guy.
    TY for all you do

    • @changliu3902
      @changliu3902 Рік тому +2

you should push the needle all the way in because that will help stabilize the needle and not move around so much. So then when you push hard on the thick testosterone, it wont hurt as much since the needles not flailing. All this is considering youre using a pretty standard sized needle like the one in the video. Try going all the way next time, it helps the pain

All I can find on the internet right now is pre-filled insulin pens, nothing like what you have here.
