Well, a lot of you were not wrong! This was badd, but so fun at the same time! Just no words at this point. We hope you enjoy the Twilight reaction!
High-school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), always a bit of a misfit, doesn't expect life to change much when she moves from sunny Arizona to rainy Washington state. Then she meets Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Edward is a vampire whose family does not drink blood, and Bella, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate.

I always felt bad for Bella’s dad. He was a really good guy and honestly a good dad. He puts up with literally the worst things a father with a teenage daughter could imagine. And throughout the whole series her dad is always trying to connect with her.
He’s seriously the unsung hero of the whole thing. In my opinion.

I used to work at a cosmetics store and we were encouraged to use and wear the products and one was a shimmer tint that my friend and I discovered could make you look like a disco ball if you applied it more like a lotion, so we did and i looked at my friend and went "this is the skin of a killer Bella" and we both died laughing 🤣🤣🤣

The Oak is very right about this! It's easy for adults who don't like romance to look at this and think it's cringy. But for teenagers when this came out it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 😂

Also, the charm thing from Edward definitely works on Bella. In the books, one of the times he kisses her she's so overwhelmed that she forgets to breathe and straight up passes out on him 😂

i will never forget sitting in theater for 5 years straight as a teenage girl watching every single one of these movies with my step dad who had read all of the books and un-ironically liked the series. the laughs and the fun we had made for some amazing memories i deeply cherish.
A friend I had also got her step dad into reading Twilight. I always remember that and it blows my mind, I wonder if he finished the series and what he thought of it. I lost contact with my friend so I'll never know.

Fun fact: forks is a real place in Washington & every year they do a twilight festival. this franchise actually saved the town financially because now they get more visitors. Also Bella’s home is on airbnb, the owners tried keeping Bella’s room the same as the movies 😂

@@kathleenclark815 oh yeah that’s right. The first one, majority of scenes was in Washington like the school, diner, beach, etc. The rest of the films was scattered in different locations. However that doesn’t take away from forks Washington tourists attraction BECAUSE of twilight.

they filmed in my home town and even shown a full view of the mountain our town is named from! we saw the filming crews around and even tried to look for a location they were on at some point lmao
So fun fact about our boy Robert Pattinson, apparently he really likes climbing trees. That’s why there’s that weird tree scene in here and even in Harry Potter, what’s Cedric doing when you first see him? He drops down from a tree. All Robert’s idea apparently.
He's also the one who chose the line "hold on tight, spider-monkey". Gosh this man is so weird 😂 the whole shooting was wild as well tbh lol
@@mannikka gotta admit I’m saddened to find out that line was his idea. Apparently the whole awkward way he acted the whole movie was also his idea and he almost got fired for it…Smh 🤦🏽♂️
@@ronbanks5467 I remember reading an interview of the director and she said it was her who showed him a list of lines for this moment and asked him to pick the one he liked best. He chose the spider-monkey one. I read a part of the list in the article and honestly they were all bad and cringy but this one was the worst lmao
Edit : I found the article! It's even worse than I thought. She wanted to add the line last minute but most of the writers of Hollywood were actually on strike that day so that's why she had to write the lines herself. "I gave it to Rob, the whole list," she explained. "And I said, 'Rob, which one do you want to say?' And he goes, 'I want to say the spider-monkey one.' "

Despite its cringiness, this series is definitely a guilty pleasure. And I can admit that I love watching it. To explain about the eyes, when a vampire drinks human blood their eye color becomes bloodshot red, when they drink animals’ blood, it becomes a golden brown coloring, and when their eyes are black it’s because they haven’t drank blood in a while and they need a refill. 👩🏻🧛🏻❤️🖤

This is actually one of my comfort movies, its so cringe but yet so good. And compared to the rest in the series ? Yeah it definitely is in the better lot. Plus the music is phenomenal.

I'm a 23 year old man and I just watched the saga for the first time (except the first movie, I'd seen it in High School), and I watched it entirely by myself and really enjoyed it. Watching it with friends is definitely not the only way to enjoy it.

Seeing Oak laughing so much made my whole week. I’m new & have only seen reactions where he’s got the stoic/ thoughtful vibe going on so seeing him laughing/ crying/ cringing into the table was the best thing ever 🤣
If you haven't watched their reactions to the Harry Potter series you would enjoy it. All the men are great but Oak started out really not wanting to watch it at all so his arc from reluctant to huge fan was great.

PLEASE do the whole series!!! 😂 The movies came out at the perfect age for me and I was obsessed. Then in the subsequent years I went into a phase where I was super embarrassed about ever liking it and tried to keep it hush hush, but now I'm older and don't care so much. These movies represent a really joyful, nostalgic time in my life where I had good friends and good memories, so what could be better than that? I always get a kick out of people watching this for the first time. I say the best way to watch is just to watch for the entertainment factor.

Is it cringey? Yes. Do I still love it? Yes. The books are insanely better, but their budget was also extremely limited compared to other films, which is why fx are looking a tad raggedy.

In Edward’s defence, he’s never fallen in love before. That’s why Bella is somewhat of an anomaly to him because he’s never met anyone that has made him feel that way. So Bella is, in fact, the first high school girl he’s fallen in love with.
The weird thing about twilight is that the side characters were the only interesting parts about it, characters like Carlisle and the Voltori were semi interesting but instead we got a weird teen love story.
The ovation for Edward’s debut had me laughing so hard 😂
Just so you know, I laughed so hard watching this reaction my cheeks hurt😂😂 I loved the not so ready, willing and able from the Answer at the beginning, loved the red flag moments, the laugh from the Oak when Edward jumped off Bella hahahahaha and loved the discussion at the end. I'm a fantasy reader and let me tell you, the 150+ guy and 18-22 girl dating is a thing nowadays so it is not weird at all, maybe back then a bit but not now🥴🥴🤣 also, I was like the Answer from the very first time I watched this a every twilight movie, I cringed a lot😂 and I loved how Mason and the Oak had good laughs during the entire movie and I agree with the Oak though, this movie is really bad but watching it with friends makes it amazing hahahaha again, I laughed a lot with you guys. Gonna be honest here. I own the 4 main Twilight books, as well as Midnight Sun, which is Twilight (the first book) from Edward's point of view. It really helped to clear up A LOT of questions and plot holes left from Bella's lack of perception and lack of awareness to the situation she was actually in. I am actually really hopeful that Stephanie Meyer makes the other three books from Edward's perspective as well. As for the films and "team" I'm Team Dads, Carlisle and Charlie. A bit team Alice too. Edward, Bella and Jacob can go take a short hike off a tall cliff for all I care. Also one of best film memories I have was in the theater for the first film, and when Carlisle first walks in that hospital room the ENTIRE CROWD just gave a huge gasping sigh of approval and then we all laughed at how stupid we sounded It was hilarious.
This was the most fun I've ever had watching a movie reaction. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard 😂😂😂 Thank you for making it so much fun while also taking your comments seriously. I CANNOT wait to watch your reactions to the rest of the series!

I will readily acknowledge that the Twilight films are basically a fever dream, as well as just not being being very good. That being said, there’s this innocent silliness about the films that I can’t help but enjoy..
Edit: I know it seems pretty unreal, but then I think how I’d react if I were a 17 year old, nerdy kid & Gal Gadot or Margot Robbie went to my school & decided she was in love with me. I’d probably let quite a few red flags slide🤣

Fun fact- Midnight Sun is from Edwards perspective and it explains that in the classroom scene where they fist meet Edward was literally deliberating how to kill Bella and everyone in that classroom, which is why he was acting that way 😅

When this movie was made they didn't have a huge budget. They had no idea that it would be as big as it was. Still one of my favorites. I was Team Edward all the way!!!! I can't wait to see the others. My husband always says I tricked him into watching this with me. LOL

As a female who read all the books, was 11-15 when this film series out, and unironically enjoyed all the movies back in the day, I can say I am absolutely dying of laughter at your reactions. It really is such an odd situation to have been obsessed with these movies when I was younger just to grow up and realize how terrible and ridiculous they are. But I still get throughout enjoyment watching them just for a good laugh. Oh and fun fact, Robert Pattinson actually hates Twilight and says some pretty snarky things about the movies😂

I just had my wisdom teeth removed and my cheeks are in pain from laughing at your reactions! 😂 I hadn’t watched Twilight in YEARS (in theaters) until the internet and Young Gen Z rediscovered it back in 2021-ish. I cringed hard at the acting and script 🤣 but I ended up binging it because 1) nostalgia and 2) the plot line is intense with the last 2 movies. Can’t wait for the rest of the reactions!!!

Was not expecting you guys to do the Twilight series, a fun surprise for sure! There is always that one person who just can't see passed the age gap and it makes these reactions so much better. Can't wait for New Moon!
As awful as these movies are, I'm not ashamed to say that I love them, and the books. I was 13 when the movie came out, it was the first of the main series books I read at that time (vs The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Harry Potter) and I've re-read the books many times. I had PJs with the wolf symbol (you'll see in the next movie) and even a Jacob cut out in my room, I have the books in both paperback and hard cover, as well as the movie companion books. A line from Edward in the 3rd movie was even my text tone for my then boyfriend/now husband 😂 As an adult, I recognize the cringe and red flags but still enjoy the series for what it is and it's always good for a laugh.

So for someone who read the book (or at least tried to), the reason why Edward reacted that way when Bella came in was because apparently she smells very tempting to him. You can see that at that time his eyes are black because he hadn’t eaten in a while. Once vampires eat they get their color back into their eyes. So he was hungry basically and Bella walked in… hence his reaction 😅👌🏽
I’m with The Answer on this one. And I say that as someone who read the books when they originally came out. Twilight is creepy and cringe and could easily be renamed “Red Flag Romance: The Movie.” 😂
But in Mason’s defense, they are really fun to laugh at with friends. It was clear y’all were having a fun time with it, and I had a fun time revisiting the movie with you. Looking forward to revisiting the whole emo, melodrama with y’all! Thanks for suffering for our entertainment, Answer! 😂

Middle aged men watching twilight is absolutely hilarious to me as someone who grew up with this franchise. The film is set in 08 but the books have it set in 04, you guys are in for a crazy ride lol

I was really feeling the 'post holidays / back to reality blues' today, and then I watched 3 grown men watch twilight. Day made. Cannot wait for the rest, you guys are so fun
was always loving the dads more even as a teenager and rewatching as an adult we all have to admit charlie and carlisle were by far the best characters in these movies (with alice of course) so i never really was team edward or jacob, i did annoy my friends by telling them i was team carlisle 😌

Twilight to me will always hold a special spot in my heart, the movies are absolutely tinged with nostalgia. The cringe factor definitely comes from the prolonged stares and the inexplicably long and drawn out shots used throughout the series. I dont know what it is about these films though, I always find myself rewatching them every year, its like a bad craving I cant ditch.
This series was such a phenomenon, brought back the vampire/werewolf interest and created an uproar of media that would capitalize on the vampire/werewolf thing til the public got tired of it. For a couple of years after Twilight, the amount of vampire shows, and werewolf movies were nuts. Also, the Twilight lore while being so weird I always found ridiculously interesting cuz of the one line where Edward says "everything about me is designed to invite you in", the sparkling, the smell, the voice, he's supposed to unattainably perfect looking to lure his victims in.
This was great and I can't wait for the reactions to the rest of the movies. So many laughs from the guys 🤣
A friend (girl) dragged me to the first one as a joke as part of a group of about 8 of us. It was cheesy but it became a tradition to go see the latest one when it released in theaters and then when we went to different colleges, we still got together for the summer releases of the rest and now it’s a nice, wholesome memory! 😊
I loved so much this reaction. I was 15 when this came up, I read the books at 14, I was and still I'm in love with Edward and your reaction was so fun. I just want to point out that this one was an independent movie with a really small budget so you guys laughing at the effects was really fun haha before I would be so mad at it because "you don't understand!!!!" LOL I laughed a lot with you guys during the reaction 😂 Rewatching this now, in my 20s, made me realized how toxic the relationship is and despite being "Team Edward," I'm not really that invested in the romance. What I loved in the books and what I WISHED they showed more in the movies, are the background characters, especially the Cullens. Their background stories deserve a movie each. Actually, I would really like a movie about the Cullens with minimal romance.
