glocks biggest failure right now is their inability to adapt to the mag updates. their 43x should be using their own OEM 15 rounders. but they're too stuck on polymer coated full metal lined double or single stack mags. if they lose that polymer coating, all of the sudden they can change their mag geometry and fit more rounds in the same size package. madness!
But neither the PSA 15 rd mags OR sheild arms mags are reliable. The p365 ones are but the guns are bigger. Glock will not make an unreliable gun plain and simple.

The PSA Micro Dagger mags have 15 round capacity for the 43x without the need to swap out to a metal mag release. Gucci tier and poverty tier combining powers could be sweet.
They did great with that product itd be nice if they just jammed out like 20,000 of them. Every time they come in stock theyre OOS again in 2 hours or so.
You can literally see the exact time he wanted to to tell J, to GTFOH, simply for making sense. But I believe Mossberg nailed this platform with their Mc2sc and made the decision to use Mec-gar mags. This total solved there issues with proper feeding and availability.
hot take: as long as the feed lip geometry lines up, or even split the difference between the two mag types since the platform is chassis based. they could offer grip modules that would facilitate either mag type and present rounds to the feed ramp accordingly.
If only it were that simple… you also have to work out slide catch geometry, over-insertion stops, feed angle, feed height, etc and then test each one of those variables to reliability for at least 5000 rounds. It’s way easier to pick a magazine and design around it. Since the sig mag is the most tested, and has the most options, it probably makes the most sense. Designing a high end gun around a third party mag that’s already had reliability issues, sounds like painting yourself into a corner…

There seem to be some confusion. XL15 rounder is an extended mag on the 365/XL lineup. 15 round mag is nearly same length as 17 round mag at least on one side Doing the XL 15 round mag will mean you can use the 12 round mags
That doesn't mean jack shit dude. They make inserts you can put on the bottom of a magazine that take up the space underneath a magazine so lower round counts can be used in longer grips. You're comment doesn't really make sense.
This gun has sooo much potential to be Sig365 killer. If it doesn't rust like the 365, if it is DEAD NUTS reliable like the G19x. I agree the masses have spoken for it take 365 mags. Also the forged aluminum chassis is just chef's kiss for this gun. This could be a t-shirt & shorts gamechanger.
They’d be crazy not to use the 365 mags. They should make an XL grip length and a Macro grip size. The downside of the 43X are the mags. Why on earth would they walk themselves into that corner. The 365 mags are available up to 17 rounders and TTI makes an awesome +3 for 20 rounds. Proprietary mags are stupid. They need it out asap too. Losing market share this whole time.
The 3d printing wold of gun design using exitsing parts will dig this. Were already using carbon fiber nylon which is stronger than glocks glass filled. We just dont use injection moulding.

No it's a Zev OZ9 that has a steel chassis in it that affords better recoil and different grip options. I understand that you're trying to make an autistic attempt to garner support for your decision that cost less, but you're not helping yourself.
Not every magazine allows for the use of a trigger housing unit like on the ZEV Chassis. Also, you'd have to account for like 9 different feeding angles and jump heights.
i could care less what mag they end up using since you can't please everyone...i'm more interested in the price as the subcompact world is very competitive.

@@JakeCamo well I own the micro and I'm pretty as far as I can tell there are a lot of Gen 3 and Gen 4/5 parts. Example the mag release is swappable to your preferred side like a gen 4, comes with a gen 3 type slide stop but is compatible with a gen 5 side stop on the 43x. I am sure Glock can't be pleased that more companies flooding the market share with versions based on the 43x, with more features and at a more competitive price. Especially when the 356xl and 365 have had strong sales as well. Just curious, all I know is that I love the free market and all the choices we have.

But if they change the magazine, potentially to a better design like the P365 pattern, then I would want to see a comparison of the feature of this pistol compared to P365 variants. Because then it's not just a higher-end Glock clone, it's a hybrid with reliability a question mark because it uses different mags, and I'd have to ask why it's better to have a Glock that takes P365 mags than a P365. Glock's selling point is that the design is so proven reliable in part because it hasn't functionally changed in decades. If it starts taking P365 mags, well, then the P365 pistols have the established reputation of reliability on their favor. There would have to be an argument that this is the best pistol to use P365 mags. But instead of buying an upgraded Glock that takes P365 mags you could just make a few upgrades to any P365 variant and maybe have something better and more proven reliable. Thanks for the video. They definitely won’t listen to customers and are going 10 rd glock mags or proprietary mags for $60-70 a piece but the upside to that would be everyone would get very reliable mags with good capacity for their 43x and 48’s
Sig magazine would be ideal. The glock mags are the biggest reason the 43x isn’t picked more from the micro lineup. And we’ve heard about m&p shield mags failing. The sig mags are built extremely well and are totally reliable. They are expensive, but they are good solid compact mags. I’d rather fatten the grip for 19 sized mags than see 43x mags.
How about a simple non-chassis, no frills g19 sized frame that takes g26 frame. G43s,G48s ,in my opinion suck. How about an OZ9 "Bravo" for Gen 4/5 slides ?
You know you can put a G19 slide on a G26 already, right? You'll have a gap at the front, but companies make parts to cover that. You could also just throw a G19 barrel in a G26 slide if you wanted more velocity from your 9mm with the smaller frame height of the G26. Or cut down your G19 frame. There's plenty of solutions for your issue already, just none standard from factory.
If the grip sections are modular, why not make a grip for the various magazines? I already have G43/43X mags. I could just buy the grip module for that magazine. If someone else is already in the P365 ecosystem, they lose nothing. They just buy the module for those magazines. I don't see the problem, only a win.
I think their best bet would be the xmacro mags. 99% of the people I know who ccw carry a macro right now, and some even have an oz9, so it would make sense so they can get the smaller version.

So you don't know what a 1911 grip angle is. Your ported slide doesn't mitigate recoil, it just makes it easier to get lint and other foreign debris into the pistol. And shield mags are ass.

I carry a xmacro, and have a Zev on my gun belt. I’d arguable get rid of my xmacro all together if they picked the xmacro mags

I love this concept but if the decision is to go with proprietary mags I am out. I just fwd this video to my buddy saying I was all in but the mag thing if bungled could be a disaster.

So you don't know what a 1911 grip angle is. Your ported slide doesn't mitigate recoil, it just makes it easier to get lint and other foreign debris into the pistol. And shield mags are ass.

@@enochdelarosa3411 No. That's not a 1911 grip angle. It's 11°. On top of that, a 1911 grip angle includes the main arch spring housing in the back that the original had on it which most people claim that they don't like and in actuality have no idea of what they're talking about.
