I agree! I wish more women would play guitar/bass/drums. I'm a 55 year old female musician, and I've always looked for female players for inspiration. Back in the 70s and 80s they weren't always easy to find. The Go-Gos didn't cut it for me! It's amazing to see so many incredible bands coming out of Japan, like Band-Maid, Mary's Blood, Disqualia, Destrose, Lovebites, Bridear….Girls, go buy an instrument and start practicing!!!
@@monstergirl7695 - That's great advice. Perhaps, if you slip it into a reality tv series, or a 'cute' phone app, then our western girls may even see it.🙂 The 70's and 80s? You could even add-in the nineties and I still couldn't think of any girl players (world wide) who were in the same league as the current wave of Japanese girls (Well, except perhaps for Joanna Connor). There were female players in the 70s. Check out Char Vinnedge's album with Billy Co, entitled Nito Function. Also, check out Fanny and Birtha. I think the best 70s female guitarist was April Lawton from Ramatam. She was so good that people refused to believe she was female!

Freaking loving this band! Been around at least as long as BAND-MAID and I'm just finding out about them a few days ago?! Bands like this from Japan need a lot more International exposure!
Damn! Where did these ladies come from? I started with BABYMETAL and Versailles, then Band-maid, Aldious and Mary's Blood. So many awesome female bands in Japan!
I went to the piano recital of MIYAKO/lovebites some week ago... and AYUMI was also there among the audience, walking right past me a few times. I kind of just discovered BRIDEAR, so I was in a personal shock. I'll go see them live next month and am sooo stoked!!! And on a total side note, just this song reminds me a lot of a band called "Launcher no 8", a pretty recent/young band from Osaka. They kick ass, check them out too.
powerful driving beat, sweet strong vocals, layers of guitars, bass and drums, a down-right evil, dirty, funky rippin' groove that comes back almost not often enough throughout the song, just exquisite, love this song. so good. I mostly skipped them the past few years till I heard bloody bride recently and had to dig back into them a bit. not a fan of growl vocals, so some of what I had heard was just too much of that for me. but this song is amazing. and their newer stuff with the new drummer, so so so on point. they were tight here, but I think they are even tighter now. under-rated band for sure. rock on ladies and thank you for sharing your music with the world! :)
Amazing song 🔥 Kimi's vocals and Misa's guitar work give this song so much energy 🤘 As much as I love Bridear now I do miss Misa on guitar. She was soooo good.
Dakk O'day Yeah!!! Ignite got me hooked quick when they broke into that dream Theater 70$blues licks I was like wow she has really matured in her playing..whew..!!🎵🎸
How is it that every time I go down the band maid rabbit hole, i find ANOTHER all female group from Japan that's rocking harder than anything we're getting in the West? Why don't our girls want to be doing this? It's so awesome? I've wondered this for like 20 years at least.
Got that right. Actually, I kind of grew away from rock about 30 yrs. ago. Even our current mainstream music has so many not interesting performers. Then along came J-rock and wham! Ladies are amazing. So many hot bands with great musicians.
Please people don't confuse this to punk or heavy metal ,,,IT is pure Hard Rock & I'm loving it ..❤️🎸God bless ALL these Japanese ( Girls , Angels ) who are giving this to us ,,,,NO Names,,we know who they are....❤️❤️❤️😎Robby Aus.
Yes, too bad the sound wasn't that great (bad location), but they were awesome. They give all their energy on stage and that's what I love about metal bands.
Kimi's voice is very unique. I've become a huge Bridear fan over the past few weeks. this band is a good reason to travel to hakata again. It is sure to be an experience to see them play live in their hometown.

The chorus is really catchy, only I wish the lead singer would show her face more. Plus 2:31 is the best sequence with everyone in unison. I love moments like that.

WOW. Overall, Band Maid is my favorite Japanese power band, but this number takes kick-ass to a new level. What amazing drum and bass lines, and the back-to-back guitar solos are orgasmic. These girls kick the crap out of what's left of the power metal scene in the U.S. There are plenty of loud, heavy groups here, but they're all boring compared with these Japanese outfits.
i mean im not just impressed by their flawless shredding and insane drums im more impressed they're doing this WHILE wearing dresses and im assuming high heels jfc talented is an understatement and im kicking myself i have heard of these bands sooner INSANE.
