Thanks... its a painful exercise for me but it helps my severe pains that i have in the last 7 months in the lower interior/groin (soccer injury). im not sure that what i experience is SPD but my doctor cant seem to monitor the problem so any help is appreciated.
I do know one of the symptoms of SPD can upper groin pain. You could also have a hernia, as I had a hockey goalie recently with a similar problem to yours that turned out to be a hernia, but was first thought to be SPD.
Hope that helps.
Best,
Gary
Help me I have inflammation and 3 mm offset from the pubic symphysis and pain
Hi Gary, are you pushing right into the symphysis pubis area? It’s a bit tricky to see exactly where your hands are.
I’m going to try your techniques. (I am a 37 yr old male) I injured myself lifting something heavy almost 3 years ago & as soon as I lifted this object I felt I had tweaked something right at the base of my penis, where it comes out of my body effectively. A physio told me I’ve damaged my symphysis pubis. I’ve had spasms, tingling & aching through my penis & testicles mostly every day since. Sitting also antagonises my injury. I’ve tried ALMOST EVERYTHING including steroid injections just at the side of the base of my penis & ganglion impar block injection in to my coccyx region of my spine but nothing has helped. Specialists suspect it is perennial nerve damage but nothing has shown up on any scans so I have no definitive diagnosis but living with this is awful. I’ll try your techniques here & see how I get on. Do you think they may help me if I do them regularly & gently for a while? It does still feel tender & sensitive around the symphysis pubis after all this time. Thanks
Are these safe to do WHILE pregnant and experiencing SPD?
Yes, you just won't be able to do the techniques where I have you pressing into your belly, and by your ability to get in some positions if you're body won't do it. Other than that you should be fine. But please use common sense, and if something doesn't feel right for you, then don't do it.

Gary Crowley
what are the techniques I can do? Because I'm 7 1/4 months pregnant.
You can do all the ones that focus on your hips. All the big muscles in the back that are tight may give you some relief. But, it's tough when you're that far along. I do wish you the best.

hi garry i am male 30 year old , i had habit of chronic prone masturbation from age 12 to 22. my penis has prolapsed like women have pelvic organ prolapse. I cannot do intercourse, my pubic bone is not its original place, i do sarvangasana which helps but it doesnot cure, is there any exercise you can advise please reply.
Sorry to say that I do not have any good suggestions for exercises. You might seek out a "pelvic floor physical therapist" and see if they have any suggestions for you. They often deal with woman after giving birth, so they may have some good information for you on re-establishing balance in those tissues.
Best,
Gary C.
