- In this video I install a water separating fuel filter in my Tinny. The purpose is to provide an extra level of protection from water and sediment entering the engine. This will give me a little peace of mind on Fish Fingers next big adventure. This video is aimed at the boating novice who wants to work on their own boat and have not done this type of job before.

That was trick oil 😂 before I get leak 👌
Good info
Thanks for all the content on your BF30. I’m from the USA and also have a BF30 and learned how to service my outboard from your videos. Now I’m looking to install a fuel and water separator too because of your videos.
Thanks.
Thanks for watching mate. Glad it was helpful.
Good idea, mate. It’s a bit of added protection from water entering the outboard. I’d be interested to see a review in a few months after use 🤙🏻
Cheers mate. I just came back from a night away in the tinny and it worked perfectly. Thanks for watching.
What a timely vid. I just got my filter by courier yesterday. Some say to install after the primer bulb some say before. I’m installing it from the tank to filter then primer then motor.
Yeah I thought putting the bulb after the filter made more sense. Will see how it goes. Thanks for watching.
Great job mate. Very well presented. Seems like a good gadget to have. Enjoyed watching 😃👍
Thanks mate.
Nice info mate. Cheers. love the channel 👍
Cheers mate. Thanks for watching
You must’ve read my mind I was thinking about this thing .. when I get my own boat
I have been meaning to install one for ages. Thanks for watching mate.
Good job mate
Thanks mate.
Highly recommend running fuel doctor too align with these filters!
If I had a diesel engine I would definitely run fuel doctor. I don’t know if Fuel Doctor is compatible with unleaded fuel is it?
@@AusAdventure it’s for everything mate! I run it in everything from whipper snipper, mower, ride on, ute and outboards. Highly recommend a big dose the first time you use it then just do a touch over recommended after that.
Hi
How did you secure the front fuel tank?
I have a dory looks simiiar to yours.
Any problems running fuel line on floor ?
Hi mate
The front tank isn’t lashed down. I just put some right angled aluminium around the base so it doesn’t slide. No problems running the fuel line on the floor as I have it inside aluminium pipe anywhere it could get stood on. 👍
I am a newbie. I have a similar one on my boat. I open the tap to drain. How come I could not stop it draining even after I close the tap. I am looking around on the internet to see if that is normal before I prime it. Is that normal? Thanks.
Doesn’t sound normal mate. How’s the condition of the seal?
How many microns is the filter???
Mate it was 10 microns.
Do you shave or wax your arms?
Your mum shaves them for me. Thanks for watching. 🤙
@@AusAdventure doubt it. she doesn’t go for uggo’s 😂
