Here some suggestions:
Separate the control from the motor.
Make the motor housing a little bit more water resistant and safe when working with water.
It's much easier to work on separating those two with a modular system like this no messy wire of electricity, water, and weight.
So, it's just two boxes with one box for the motor in front and connected wire to a control box on the side.
Basically, you can just overengineer the motor housing for every addon you can imagine, just drop it and make a simple locking system with a small tension Clasp or just thumbscrew or just a strong magnet I guess for any addons you want.
For more flexing, you can add Arduino and Bluetooth bulshit on the controller and connect with a phone instead. xdd

Hi, Can you mention what printer you are using and the filament?
4:34 HSS and carbide are two VERY different metals. That being said, diamond is one of the only things that might cut through tungsten
i know, im not sure what it was but its a lathe tool so its one of them/ some type of hardened steel..thats why i said high speed OR carbide

I think the idea might have promise, but if you want to have people take it seriously, then you need to put it into the hands of people who actually have the machines to compare it against.
When you say things like "instead of buying a dedicated machine for a specific use, instead you'll just 3D print the parts" it makes me think that you haven't done much lapidary work or that we have very different definitions of what lapidary as a hobby encompasses. It also seems rather deceptive to show on the screen an Amazon cart with $3100 of stuff in it, which implies that your machine can match those which it 100% can not.
Sorry, man, but I think you're really misleading people with how you describe this machine. Saying it can function as all of those things, like a rock tumbler, and you show it using a thin plastic jar... Please go try that for 4-12 weeks and take something up to a real polish and let us know how it goes.
Maybe it's a fun little entry tool for someone living in a New York apartment, but it can in no way it can replace real lapidary machines.
Im not sure what the point of your comment is? Can a Lamborghini beat a Honda accord in a race? Of course not!, but that doesn't stop the Honda accord from being a far more common, utilized and practical mode of transportation. I don't need to do a side by side comparison to know that a dedicated machine can possibly work better. Some features maybe better, others maybe not as good, but all will get the job done. Its not a contest. Its just another option. One that i feel a lot of people could benefit with having.
Your comment seems very confrontational, just for the sake of being confrontational.
I think you're trying to get me to defend a position i never took. That this machine can perform better than say a 2 thousand dollar Cab king for making cabochons, or any similar dedicated machine. It probably can't. Efficiency aside, even if it could, having a work space full of dedicated machines certainly has its benefits. Your workflow won't be interrupted, and your time won't be spent reconfiguring the machine to perform various operations, that said, anyone who has that much lapidary work to do, and is using their cabbing machine, bench polisher, micromotor, or their trim saw that often, would know that already. This machine is not for professional or production lapidary artists who are running their machines all day long. Its for the casual hobbyist or maybe a professional jeweler who might only occasionally benefit from a lapidary machine. Basically what I'm saying is that if you are using a dedicated machine, say a cabbing machine all day every day, you would be an idiot NOT to buy something like a $2000 Cabking, but if the type of work you do might only occasionally benefit from having one, then you would be an idiot TO buy one...It all boils down to the type of work you do and how often you plan on doing it.
I think because you are obsessed with lapidary, you are seeing this from only your own perspective. This machine can do some lapidary work, yes, but that's just one of the many uses it will eventually have.
You made it a point to critique the tumbler but that's not even done yet, i simply attached a transparent peanut butter jar to show how its going to work. That 3d file is almost done and when it is, i would be hard pressed to see how a dedicated tumbler could be better aside from maybe size of the chamber.
The wet saw attachment is finished and a friend of mine DOES have a $500 Hi Tech diamond trim saw, and they both work at what they are supposed to do( im even working on a vice and guide for mine as well) only one is basically free and the other costs $500 bucks. Again, it all boils down to what YOU need , how often YOU need it, not which one would win in a race.
The wet saw attachment is finished, i demonstrated it, it works, and will continue to make attachments, demonstrate them and then release them, improving the machine over time. The machine is already being taken "seriously" By ME! and also by the large amount of backers who have reached out to contribute, so we can continue to improve and expand its uses. Thats all the validity i need for this project to continue and with all due respect, if you can't imagine how this machine can be useful for certain people, then you're the one not to be taken seriously. Sorry but thats the truth. Maybe you're a rock nerd who has decided to make rocks your life and as a result, it makes sense to fill your basement with a million different expensive machines, Thats not most people!!
I think you are obsessed with rocks and so, it makes sense for you to spend thousands on dedicated lapidary equipment. For a lot of people, i would argue for MOST people, it doesn't.
If you want a practical car that wont break the bank, one that can get you from point A to point B with no hassles, you can buy a Camry, If you're obsessed about speed or you have a small penis, you might prefer a Lamborghini. It all depends on the buyers needs.
It is what it is, guy is an inventor. Who knows one idea might lead to another. You can see what he has made and how it works. Cant see any thing misleading about it.
@@ebrahimkarolia4812 The misleading part is in saying something can do something better than another tool or that it is a replacement for other tools, but not proving it or having the other tools in question for a comparison.
@@sweetgumnyc7794 I was clear and concise with the comment, and I think you got the point of my comment, but just to be apparent here with my opinion, I don't like that you are making objective statements of fact as to what your machine can do without showing evidence and I don't believe you're making fair comparisons.
The big issues I see here is that you don't have the machines you're trying to replace or duplicate.
Let's look at your statement here, as this is a perfect example of going into something blind.

How many successful batches of rocks have you ever tumbled in your life? Have you owned tumblers like Lortone's and worked with them over years to have an in depths understanding of the issues people have and how to replicate them and improve them? From what I have seen from you, the answer is no.
Are you willing to send some machines out to lapidarys with UA-cam channels and full shops to test your machine side by side in an unbiased format?
i watched every video he posted and i dont see a single time where he claimed his machine can do a "better" job than a $3000 machine...He simply said it was his goal for this to be able to DO the job period, not do it better or faster or last longer...its a $65 machine what are you expecting? and considering all it can do NOW, thats already amazing!!!!, anything else he can make it do moving forward would just be icing on the cake!!....what would comparing this against a machine that costs several thousand dollars prove?
