I have my grandpa 30.06 it's killed all my biggest bucks to date. Now just sits in my gun cabinet because to special to use. That's the way that hunt was suppose to be. Your pappaw fought to the last day and last hour with cancer. I'm sure he is smiling ear to ear seeing the people he loves chasing one goal together all season. Remembering him in the most special way together. Great job thanks for sharing.
The video got me my priced possession is my grandpa 30.06. He was the only person you would have taught me to hunt. He died when I was 4 and I've spent a life time self teaching myself and having good friends that took me with them.
Very touching Wes !!!!!! There is nothing like having a gun handed down to posterity especially when that gun carries such a special meaning. Well done man
Great video Wes moments like that are unforgettable and using guns that have been passed down and knowing the history behind them make it an even better moment!
That’s what memories are made of right there. It makes it all so special doing it all for a loved one that has came and gone. Great job with the video.
My dad passed away this fall. He built muzzleloaders. I have several, and several of his center-fire rifles. I'm looking forward to notching tags with each one. Thank you for sharing this great story about our hunting tradition.
Man oh man what a story. It says something about your film when you get the chills when you see the bull go down. I’m sure your Pawpaw is proud of you guys! Great job
Great video! There’s something different when your out there with family doesn’t matter what hunt your on but to go out with the people who taught you everything you know now
Great video! My dad passed away two years ago… we never got the opportunity to hunt together. I made a decision to go on my first deer hunt last year.. and harvested my first buck on my first day of hunting. I knew my dad was right there with me. It’s funny how personal and emotional and meaningful hunting is. Congrats to you and your family, and thanks for sharing and bringing us all along.
Great job Wes! This was amazing! I was able to use my grandpa’s old rifle to shoot a buck a couple years ago and it definitely brings a whole different feeling to the hunt!
Man this is awesome! I got a little teary eyed when your dad was facing away from you guys having a moment and taking it all in. This is what it’s all about! This is why we hunt 🙏🏼
Man I love this! My dad passed away due to cancer in 2019. I only had the chance to hunt with him a couple times because of health issues that didn’t allow him to get out in the mountains. In 2021 I dedicated my deer hunt to him and ended up taking my biggest buck. Definitely an amazing experience!
Nothing like hunting with dad.
Honoring past hunters.
Awesome.
