ASIC’s Arrogance Is Out Of Control!

  • It is unbelievable that ASIC has started 2023 with an extraordinary attack on the Federal Parliament on the eve of a major inquiry about to examine ASIC’s investigation and enforcement performance.
Earlier this week, we had an extraordinary attack by ASIC on the Federal Parliament’s system of oversight.
Both outgoing Commissioner Sean Hughes and ASIC Chairman Longo has attacked Parliament’s oversight as inefficient and waste time!
ASIC will be appearing before Senate Estimates either on 15 or 16 February 2023, so this will be the next set of potential fireworks with Senators.
Senator Bragg and the Senate Economics References Committee has extending the deadline from Friday 3 February 2023 to Tuesday, 28 February 2023. Almost 4 weeks for submission relating to the ASIC Inquiry.

Bankrupting millions of Australians as a solution to a problem created by politicians...
Why not bankrupt the politicians who created the problem?
It places authority and liability back together where they belong, its fair, and wealth is created by people, not politicians.
We can replace politicians overnight, but we cant replace a workforce and small business owners overnight.

Australians were asleep at the wheel as our debt exploded up to nearly a trillion over the space of a year or two. Our country was sold out to the IMF/World Bank. And ofcourse the debt is a problem. That was always intentional. You may advocate for austerity measures or "tightening our belts" to pay down the debt but that will lead us down the road of Greece. Will we sell the Sydney Opera house to Goldman Sachs? The farms? The roads? The water? No. You know just as well as everyone else what the problem is. Your giving the reaction they want. And the solution? CBDCs with expiry dates, 100 year housing loans, generational debt and loss of all wealth and social mobility.

He made good points about significantly cutting bureaucracy etc. but this would be temporary - as sure as night follows day ... our whorish and reckless pollies would be back on the campaign trail announcing more shiny programs = ie. more bureaucrats. We've seen it all before - they cut and rebuild - cut and rebuild .. so nope, the entire system must collapse. Endless money printing by unaudited and unaccountable private entities has to stop. Govts should never have open-ended cheque books! Nothing lasts forever - systems collapse and new ones arise and we're at that point. It can't come soon enough.

Officials keep election computers off the internet to minimize hacking, but the manufacturers are on the internet. They and their annual updates are still subject to hacking, like any computers. John and Martin,
Listening/watching your discussions is fascinating, your latest involving ASIC no less so.
Regarding ASIC's apparent arrogance, my immediate question is : Somewhere in Australian legislative/judicial policy, perhaps vaguely written, is there something similar to "Chevron Deference Doctrine" that exists here in the United States?
My guess is that you two have heard of it's existence here in the U.S.
For those of your Australian viewers not aware, "Chevron Deference Doctrine" resulted from legal proceedings between Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc. in 1984.
Chevron Deference Doctrine has given rise to all manner of legal gymnastics that (falsely, some may argue perhaps "arrogantly?) give bureaucratic agencies and corporations a shield to hide behind when said agencies and, or corporations come under public and legislative body scrutiny.
Chevron Deference Doctrine has given rise to the "perpetual revolving door" between Federal/State government agencies and corporations, creating all manner of "accepted" chicanery under the erroneous and false premise that the "experts" know best (as if they're omnipotent and omniscient) thus any agency policy is unquestionable.
As I've been keenly listening/watching this series involving ASIC, the existence in Australia of some sort of similar policy as Chevron Deference Doctrine comes immediately comes to mind.
Here in the United States the existence of Chevron Deference Doctrine is coming under increasing scrutiny, particularly in this era of the global scam-demic and, insurmountable national and global debt levels.
As I'm certain you're aware, here in the United States, we have any number of corporations and Federal agencies that have almost gone full rogue, getting away with all sorts of chicanery. All one needs do is look at the actions of numerous of our Federal alphabet soup agencies. And the various "committees" created by our House and Senate appear to be almost entirely impotent to rein those agencies in.
It's a pernicious and terrible problem afflicting our Republic.
    PEACE and be well.

Plus more regulation for big tec, big gov, big corperations and big media while removing most regulation and taxes from small and medium business. Even if ASIC was fit for purpose and carried out the due diligence of complaints that come before it, it would have to be many times its size based on John’s assertion that ASIC investigates less than one percent of complaints.
The other reality is that the majority of complainants have already been done over by the time they complain to ASIC. A huge properly functioning ASIC will do little for vulnerable consumers.
In order to make ASIC functional one must also address the dysfunctional justice system. We need a fence at the top of the cliff that assists consumers equitably when they need help. This will reduce ASIC’s log jam, better inform it and will not require the sort of ASIC expansion described above.
It would serve ASIC’s functionality to have an internal consumer representative body within ASIC that can give it real perspective from beneath the clouds.

This system does not serve the people - ASIC is a facade of regulation. As Mussolini said to PM Menzies, ‘you already have it’ - Fascism - the corporates are supreme. Privatise profits - socialise the losses. John’s great reset may play into the hands of the wealthy few at the expense of us all. Money should simply be a means of exchange - not the origin of our physical economy, skilled workforce and livelihoods. We must focus on productivity to generate real wealth

Once you understand the Birth Certificate is a CERTIFICATE of TITLE then look at SECTION 39 of the BANKING ACT 1959……cheques payable or expressed in Australian money, and also includes rights and INSTRUMENTS OF TITLE to Australian money(Meaning the Birth Certificate) then you can understand money does not exist and once you go deeper into the Rabbit hole and get a copy of the Record of Live Birth that creates the Birth Certificate signed by your mother then you are a FOREIGN to the CORPORATE AUSTRALIA and free yourself from ASIC and the Foreign ATO.

This document creates the fraudulent birth certificate about a month after you are born I very important document make sure you get it.Cheers

To me... the debt, is counterfit money, from thin air, out of a reserve bank. Or a retail bank. It is not from any companies or indaviduals balance. So its not really real.
If unpaid, every one who took on debt got some free counterfit. And the rba and or retail banks, can fuck off and cry them selves to sleep. No more fractional reserve lending, aka counterfitting.
Which is why when they were in trouble 2019,20... every one just gets a 12 month mortgage holliday and doesnt have to pay, coz its all a fuckin con.
