If you install a new metal cap with o-ring on the leaking valve, would that also stop the leak?

Can you remove the same way on the high pressure side? Or this just for the low side?

What is the purpose of the king valve? Isn’t it to be in open position while the ac unit is running? If so, to charge refrigerant through the shredder valve, I don’t need to touch the king valve. Is that correct? Then when do we have to close the king valve, probably closing it turning clockwise? When closing the king valve all the way down, it blocks the flow of refrigerant. Is my interpretation correct? Why do we close it?

King valves are service valves that techs use for servicing.. they would be open, closed, or mid position depending on what you’re doing… such as recovering … we don’t say open or closed when talking about the position we say back seated ( normal operation) or front seated (turn clockwise to close off the access of ref.)

No alot of times it will leak at the evaporative coil due to rust and corrosion. If you are unsure what the evaporative coil looks like... go to my channel and watch R22 to 410a conversion.

I like your videos generally lots of good information. You do talk a little slow and tend to repeat yourself a few times which drags the video on but better then less info I guess. keep it up and thanks for the videos
