Thank you for posting this video. I’ve been prescribed and taking Wegovy for two months. About 6 months ago, I was diagnosed with moderate/intermediate dry AMD. Last week, I was experiencing some eye issues…after seeing this video I’m contacting my eye doctor tomorrow…thanks again
I had this happen in 2016 due to high blood pressure between my yearly doctor visits. I woke up one morning and couldn't tell what time it was on my digital clock. I closed my right eye and I could see the time. Come to find out due to a stressful series of events at that time, I had a piece of cholesterol break off and it ended up in the tiny blood vessel in my right eye. I can see mostly through my eye, just not directly straight ahead and there is a blurry section occluding my vision. They put me through a series of exams to see my heart and arteries and they couldn't find anything but my high blood pressure. They put me on high blood pressure meds and cholesterol meds (which I hate they make me tired). I started Semaglutide almost two years ago and the weight did not want to come off me but I did lose 30 lbs super slowly. I had been taking Semaglutide until May when I decided to stop using it due to heartburn and throwing up occasionally in the middle of the night. If I knew about this risk also, I would not have taken it at all. So glad I stopped. Of course, the weight is creeping back up because I am not constipated all the time (which makes you feel fuller) and that seems to be how it worked on me when taking it.
This needs further study. NAION in diabetics is already a risk (actually there’s a long-standing debate around whether it’s a unique condition called diabetic papillitis). We also know that with aggressive reduction in blood glucose that patients are at higher risk of retinopathy, no matter the treatment (called early worsening of diabetic retinopathy). Studies should look at whether it is the aggressive reduction in blood glucose that is the real cause, or ozempic directly.
All these diet drugs end up tragic. The last miracle suet drug PhenFen - anyone remember - attacked the heart‼️‼️‼️ So yourself a favor: intermittent fasting, OMAD, keto works 👍👍👍
Taking it as a diet drug is the off-label use. It's intended for type 2 diabetes. I'm trying to get my father on it right now because it's so hard to control his glucose levels and his eating habits. He tends to binge eat, which is a major problem. He is in the beginning stages of dementia, which doesn't help either. The doctor hopes it can help with his wanting to eat all of the time. I'm having a hard time getting his insurance to cover it though.
Not sure if there has been studies about this but my mom , 55 yo, was prescribed Ozempic for her DM2 and it accelerated the growth of a PSC on her right eye in about a month. She had good vision , no issues , no glare, then 1 month after taking Ozempic she started noticing those effects of a PSC and BDCVA was 20/80. So yeah, this is a dangerous medication.
The sad thing is that your mom could have lost weight and controlled her diabetes by eating Keto or Carnivore. No drug side effect risk. However, keto and carnivore are lifestyles. If followers go back to carbs, the weight will come back, as well as the insulin issues.
@@BunE22 Why are you so sure the carnivore diet helps people lose weight? To really know it doesn't work, you'd have to be obese, believe all the hype, try it for two whole years, and end up gaining 100 pounds. With all the confusing info online, that's the only way to prove it's not some miracle cure. Just so you know, I gained this weight after having weight loss surgery, and I tried the carnivore diet hoping to keep the weight off.
One of the biggest thing I noticed was just diet, low carbohydrate, low sugar, high protein, diet keto for me/carnivore my vision improved dramatically just from the reduction of blood sugar some days I barely need my glasses to read
this has so many risk that some never realized happens my friend takes it for diabetes scary to think what it can do to your eyes thanks for another great video
Thank you for sharing. I'm currently ozempic and diabetics with type 2. I haven't yet expected any problems with vision loss, but I'm going to see with both the eye doctor and primary doctor when regular check-ups soon.
When "THE PILL" came out, I waited 10 years to be certain it was safe, before taking it. There are NO SHORTCUTS to weight loss, by taking meds! How can people be so STOOPID? I have Sjogrens and experience dry eyes, so I am very careful about my eyes, especially because I've had sinus problems all my life, which affect my vision. Thank you for this informative video! I would NEVER take a shortcut to lose weight, I have cut out all "white" foods and sugar, eating carnivore. We do not eat enough protein which heals, the horrid itchy rash has vanished.
It's these types of side effects that keep me leary of pharmaceuticals in general. After years of suspecting, I finally had it confirmed that my MGD was being caused by Sjogrens. The eye doc's answer was for me to go on a lifelong regimen of Restasis, which I declined. I'm attempting to handle it with diet, cleansing and the eyelid squeezing techniques (I learned from you). It's a hassle, but at least I'm not trading in eyesight for additional organ failures. PS, thanks for all you do.
I had glaucoma a few years ago. My eye doctor has given the approval for Ozempic. I hope I will stay on a low dose as I eat low carb. My physician is also aware and has asked me to monitor for any changes to my vision.
Here again we hear about a percentage risk without saying if this is absolute or relative risk. Risk percentage vs what, over what period of time. If the normal rate is one in a billion and it increases to one in one hundred million (10x), how much worry should we have? What is the risk of an obese diabetic in the first place? Gotta know all the numbers. i sure would like to hear greater detail on this and where exactly the blood flow is lacking, and can it happen elsewhere with different symptoms. Who are these people, what were their inflammatory markers to begin with, could lowering inflammation be protective. Could something as simple as an increase in vitamin d and Omega 3 ratio counter any risk? What did the blood of the victims look like? Were they malnourished after being on the drug for a long time or was there no time component? Many questions.
Hey thanks for asking all these wonderful questions! I didn’t go too in depth into the statistics as I’ve learned when I do that, people tend to stop watching the videos. But perhaps I can do deeper dives, maybe post those in my channel membership section. For diabetics on non- glp1 meds, the cumulative risk over 3 years is about 1.8%, and goes up to 8.9% when taking semaglutide. not a HUGE amount of people in the study, but still significant for such an at risk population.
Good questions. The authors of the study did not do a randomized human trial but did some data mining. They admitted that there was no evidence of a cause and effect relationship between semaglutide and blindness but that it warranted further study. But that admission is drowned out by all the fear mongering.
@@VernCrisler Almost every study in existence ends with the statement that more study is necessary. A proper study would be like what the NTSB does after a plane crash, they look at the data recorders and cockpit voice recorders to see what led up to the crash. If someone comes in with vision loss the "data recorders" (blood) should be pulled and preserved. There has been a terrible accident, evidence should be preserved. These things don't just randomly happen, there is a reason. The "voice recorder" (conversation with the patient) should be preserved. These studies are like people doing a hobby rather than serious investigation. The system though is not set up for serious investigations.
@@mballer Well, I suppose if people are afraid they'll go blind taking these GLP-1 / GIP drugs, they shouldn't buy them. There's a shortage right now, so if they stop buying the drugs, more will be left for those of us who really need them.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I mean no disrespect, but you need to understand how big an impact your video can have. It could go either way - really good or really bad. If the drug actually does cause this damage, then yeah, it's important people know. But on the flip side, your video might scare away folks who really need this drug for their obesity or diabetes. That could be a problem too.
I take Ozempic for a year n 4 mos…I went to eye dr for follow up n discovered I am pretty blind on my left eye…I’m scheduled for my second eye shot next week…
Actually no! That was part of the study - perhaps I could have done a better job pointing that out. For diabetics, the study reported a a overall cumulative risk of NAION for patients on other diabetic medications at only about 1.8%, but closer to 8.9% for people taking Semaglutide (Ozempic).
Thank you for this question. I was just about to ask. I just turned 50. T2D on Mounjaro. My eyes are changing but I hope it's just due to age related changes. Time to visit the eye doc as I haven't been in about 5 years. I know I'm bad I just don't have vision insurance.! Thank you for this video!
Thank you for such an informative and well done video and for mentioning Amioderone complications. In Canada cardiologists downplay all side effects and virtually neglect occular ones. I am a cardiac afib/chf patient and have always refused Amioderone. However I believe my retina damage was caused by the Entresto drug. I found some initial pre-distribution research with Opthamologists concerns but then no follow through. The pandemic interfered with proper post marketing research imo. If this is a topic you could follow up on millions of your viewers who are cardiac could benefit ❤️. Thank you for the excellent work you do.
Hey I appreciate that! Thank you. Yes, there are many ocular side effects to medications. Especially cardiac ones, surprisingly. Perhaps I should just do a video about medication side effects and the eye in general. Thank you and god bless.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I wouldn't mind seeing a video on medication side effects either. Though if you could do one on recurrent corneal erosion syndrome I'd be even more thrilled. A lot of opthamologists don't seem to know what to do when it keeps happening over and over again, connected with dry eye but no obvious original injury.
A retrospective analysis from a study involving 66 million U.S. patients, published in the *Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology*, found no increased risk of nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) among users of GLP-1 receptor agonists like semaglutide compared to non-GLP-1 users. This large-scale study confirms the ocular safety of these medications.
Iritis developed in my right eye 9 months ago and has not entirely gone away. I've seen an Optometrist twice and an Opthalmologist twice and have taken 2 different steroid eye drops. This began 9 months after beginning Ozempic for T2D. No answers from any doctors, including my Endocrinologist so I decided to discontinue Ozempic.
I’ve been on ozempic over a year now n I start to see everything really blurry and in the mornings I don’t see almost anything n my left eye is worse 😔
hello doctor, I have had dry eyes for the past 6 months, but for the past few days I have seen a faint rainbow halo if behind the lights the sky is dark, if the lights in my house don't see a rainbow, is that due to dry eyes or is there another eye health problem? A few weeks earlier I had gone to the eye doctor and I was only diagnosed with dry eyes. should I check again with a different doctor? I've been feeling anxious about my eye health lately even though I've been to the doctor
I find it interesting that, up until now, The media has portrayed this as a magic pill that would virtually cure obesity, heart disease and addiction, amongst other miracles. So why are we hearing about this symptom now, how many people is it affecting and what do these people have in common as opposed to those who do not experience this symptom? While it could be a small percentage of people taking this medication, with the mass popularity of this drug, even a small number is still something we need to understand since vision loss is a significant side effect.
I wanna tell you right now the ophthalmologists they have working at kaiser or absolute morons. I've learned more watching your channel than I have ever learned from my own eye doctors over 50 years.
My daughter’s doctor started her on the Mounjaro for her diabetes, does that cause the same thing, I need to let her know. I think she’s been on that shot for 8-9 months.
They have some similarities in mechanism of action, but was not included in this specific study. Right now, the only ocular side effects is that people with preexisting diabetic retinopathy should be advised that symptoms may temporarily worsen if glycemic control quickly improves. Any eye or vision changes should be discussed with a local eye care professional.
I was diagnosed just yesterday with diabetes type 2 . I am currently waiting on my prescription for ozempic to come through… learning all about this , really frightens me now. 😞😭
Well NAION does tend to come on suddenly without any warning signs, but some people may be at higher risk. Suck as people with very small, crowded optic nerves. In addition, people with higher risk factors listed in the video. Perhaps asking your eye doctor if they have concerns about the size of your optic nerve or if they see signs of floppy eyelid syndrome (as there is a high associated between floppy eyelids syndrome and obstructive sleep apnea - which is also a risk factor for many eye diseases, including NAION).
@@DoctorEyeHealth Can having a vasodilator like lutein, arginine, astaxanthin help increase blood flow to the optic nerve helping with preventing this condition?
Most likely vasodilator would not help preventing this. Crowed optic nerves, known as “discs at risk” are more prone the getting NIAON. Many ED drugs ( Viagra, Cialis) that cause vasodilation can bring on an optic nerve infarct in these patients. Unfortunately it’s untreatable. Some improvement may occur over time, but never back to the previous level. These optic nerves are more common in far sighted patients. They usually have small optic nerves that are compacted.
Similar, but not exactly the same. At any rate, the study only looked at semaglutide. But here's a thought: if it's due to ozempic's GLP-1 agonist activity, then tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) might be expected to show less increased NAION, since tirzepatide's effect is partly through GLP-1 and partly through GIP, whereas ozempic is entirely through GLP-1 agonism. But if it's an effect of the rapid lowering of blood glucose, then tirzepatide would be expected to have similar risk. In both cases the medications are administered in increasing dosage over time, so (if it's due to rapid decrease in glucose) it might be possible to mitigate the effect by slowing down that increase schedule (currently it takes 8 weeks to reach a full dose of ozempic).
I experienced secondary glaucoma and suddenly lost most of vision in right eye. When optic nerve is damaged its sudden vision loss. mine was from steroid eyedrops for my cornea surface.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I had limbal stem cell transplants, 2008 and 2018. My condition is multifactorial but partly due to rosacea under lids, dry eye, you name it. So I was also using combigan but now am on several different glaucoma drops along with Durezol. So it's a balancing act. When the glaucoma doc discussed with my cornea doc that my good eye was trending to increased pressure, I was taken off durezol and given pred instead. But then , you guessed it, my surface suffered greatly. So after a year off of Durezol I'm back on it. Surface is slightly better and I get the pressure checked monthly. It's a rock and a hard place...balancing the surface and the back of the eye. I wear a scleral lens in my good eye and it helps tremendously. I see both Drs at Cincinnati Eye Institute so that makes it easier as they are always discussing my care. I'm grateful to have any vision and we are all doing our best. I enjoy your informative channel.
I think I’d freak out if my eyes weren’t in pain 😂 TY for the video! I was starting to look into taking it. I have enough eye problems already. I’ll pass for now.
Publications do hypothesize that some supplements that increase nitric oxide (which helps with vasodilation and blood flow) can help have a protective effect on the optic nerve and retinal vasculature from several eye conditions.
@@DoctorEyeHealth Good to know! I'm a biochemist and I just had a hunch it could possibly help but I didnt check the literature on this particular subject matter. Now I am extremely curious and will dig deeper for more info! Thank you so much.
Hi Doctor. Great information and as a diabetic patient and optometrist i am taking metphormin and doing a diet to control everything. Do you think or do you know that this oral metphormin has impact in our vision?
Hey! Many studies show a positive impact of metformin on eye health, and not just for diabetes. The most common side effect I ever see is just blood sugar coming down and a shift in a glasses prescription.
My vote would be for the drug causing NAION, because the Keto diets and many others that have been utilized for more than 100+ years, focus on dropping blood sugars and reducing insulin spikes and there are no reports or studies showing that connection.
My vote would be a B vitamin deficiency caused by not eating. We need actual blood work. It must be a combination of things otherwise everyone would be going blind.
So, if I have had a history of eye problems (cataracts, lazy eye, Lasix, and retina detachments), it sounds like it might be Russian roulette for my eyes if I take Ozempic or Viagra, and certainly not both at the same time?
Great question! There are some clinical trials ongoing for use of stem cells for dry eye and look largely positive for helping heal damaged corneal tissue and reducing inflammation. Nothing is approved or widely available yet.
I once again side effecting.Nobody wants to talk about is that when you take this, some people small percentage certainly go into a murder rage, where they want to kill people like reuters, except the actually followed through and kill
The study didn't adjust for BMI, which is sketchy. People with higher BMI are often those on Ozempic, and ignoring this could mess up the study's results about the drug's risks. what do you think doc?
Interesting not everyone the same, I am T2 taking Ozempic and controlling my sugar it has helped my eyes health so far. Not to say an eye stroke can't happen.
I was trying this and the second week at just the. .25 I started having blurry vision for two days. Sulfur burping and Smell and some kind of exhaustion. . I couldn’t even go to the next level of the injections. Even at .30 it was way worse. After stopping for a month my vision is mostly back to normal
Very informative and thought-provoking! Thank you for addressing this. I think the biggest mistake is when people take these medications for following the Hollywood trends to lose smaller amounts of weight. I think titration of the dose in truly type 2 diabetics where other medications don't lower their a1c enough and severely morbidly obese patients should strictly followed. Doctors should be more cautious about who should use it. Then those who truly NEED it wouldn't have to go without due to a shortage! And why not study boosting gut health by increasing GLP1 naturally. I'd like to know if that increases this risk for blindness! FDA has caused most of the health problems with the garbage they allow to be consumed in the US!
Finally, Thank you, three years ago when the hospital wanted to put me on GLP-1 inhibitors, they pushed to prescribe Ozempic. But having done my homework, I was aware of the ophthalmological risks and refused (nobody believes me), so I am on Trulicity which seems less problematic for my eyes, already severely affected by retinopathy (I have 0/10 on my right eye after 4 surgeries, multiple injections, and silicone for the past 10 years, and 5/10 on my left eye. Bad luck, my right eye is my dominant eye. Thanks for all your videos
All of the GLP-1 meds have the same ophthalmic complications, if you have a predisposition to have issues. One must already have Diabetic Retinopathy to have worsening or rebound. Rebound retinopathy and non-ateritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) can occur with sudden lowering of markedly elevated blood sugar through all methods, including insulin, oral meds, and starting renal dialysis.
😢😢😢😢😢😢 My doctor suggested I take this garbage since I am about 110 lbs overweight. I am refusing. I will lose weight naturally and not take short cuts. Trying to take short cuts in ANYTHING in life usually comes back to bite you in the azz!!!😢😢😢😢😢
Give up processed foods. Give up grains. You will lose weight easily by eating meat, healthy fats like butter, evoo, avocado oil, low carb vegetables, and the occasional berries. Nuts in moderation, but maybe not in the beginning of the change in lifestyle. I dropped 52 lbs. eating this Keto way, without exercising. I do suggest exercising, to not lose muscle.
Hi Dr Allen I hope you are well. I really need your help on this please reply to me. I need some info about keratoconus. So I have seen 2-3 doctors here in Pakistan and have confirmed that I have got keratoconus in my right eye, my vision with left eye is 6/6 and that with the right eye is 6/64. Doctor told me that they might need to do LASIK, but it won't recover my vision, it'll just stop where it is. So can you confirm is it really so? Because if the cornea is cone shaped and you do LASIK, it can be reshaped right? It'll do me a lot of help if you can reply. Thank you
Hey thank you for sharing! So I am not sure what doctors are doing in Pakistan right now, some countries have different technologies available. Here in the US where I practice, the LASIK procedure is not recommend for keratoconus. Instead the corneal crosslinking procedure is recommended as that can halt the progression of the disease. There are a few corneal specialists who do offer corneal crosslinking along with a procedure called PRK, this can help reshape the cornea - improving visual acuity a bit, and then stops the progression of the disease, but not everyone may be a candidate for that procedure. Oftentimes, the best vision correction for keratoconus comes from specialty contact lenses. Hope this helps, many blessings.
@@DoctorEyeHealth Thanks for the reply. I did confirm from my doctor and he said that they will do cross linking to stop the progression, but the vision can not be corrected.
It doesn't look like they collected for that data. But it is known that people with similar medical history (diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea) cary increased risk for glaucoma.
Hey thanks for asking! Many antidepressent medications are known to reduce tear production as well as inhibit mucin production on the surface of the eye, often making dry eye worse. I can't say they compete against cyclosporine medications (like restasis) but antidepressents often do make dry eye worse. Kind of a double edged sword, because depression on its own can contribute to dry eye...
Dr. Joseph, thank you for that information, most appreciated. I am not a diabetic, but my husband and daughter have to keep an eye on their blood sugar, because they are boarder line. My husband and daughter have to have blood drawn every 6 months, but they are on diets (overweight). Again, thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
This is off-topic but… I occasionally get optical migraines… They are pain-free and they usually last from 5 to 20 minutes. More than likely five minutes. Does anyone know what causes this?
Low omega 3. Get your blood levels tested. Eating a gram or two of good quality, non rancid DHA heavy fish oil each day for a few months should help. Vitamin d, vitamin K2, magnesium. Find a doctor who treats with nutrition before drugs.
There are many known triggers for migraine, these include stress, caffeine (too much or too little), weather changes, aged cheeses, smoked meats, lack of sleep, chocolate, sugar substitutes, dehydration, alcohol, MSG, strong odors, citrus fruits...

Agreed, the scary thing is that there are often no warning signs of an NAION coming on. It just happens.
Unfortunately elevated blood glucose is also extremely damaging to all capillaries, and you can see the effects in the eye.
I've been taking Ozempic and developed eye floaters that have caused blurry vision. I truly regret taking this medication.
Thank you for sharing. I'm currently ozempic and diabetics with type 2. I haven't yet expected any problems with vision loss, but I'm going to see with both the eye doctor and primary doctor when regular check-ups soon.
Hope you are doing well!
Hi And Thank You For Sharing This very Informative ..
My pleasure! Thank you for watching and sharing!
If you mean oral contraception there is more and more evidence coming out that it causes long-term fertility problems, actually.
This happened to me in both eyes about 4 months apart. I now cannot drive or work
I had glaucoma a few years ago. My eye doctor has given the approval for Ozempic. I hope I will stay on a low dose as I eat low carb. My physician is also aware and has asked me to monitor for any changes to my vision.
Thanks for this info.

@@VernCrisler
Almost every study in existence ends with the statement that more study is necessary.
I have friends on it and never heard these warnings
I take Ozempic for a year n 4 mos…I went to eye dr for follow up n discovered I am pretty blind on my left eye…I’m scheduled for my second eye shot next week…
Do other diabetic meds have this same blindness risk?
Actually no! That was part of the study - perhaps I could have done a better job pointing that out. For diabetics, the study reported a a overall cumulative risk of NAION for patients on other diabetic medications at only about 1.8%, but closer to 8.9% for people taking Semaglutide (Ozempic).
@@DoctorEyeHealth thanks!
@@DoctorEyeHealththat would be a very helpful one since I’ve had a detached retina before and have glucouma.
I take amedarone for my mitral valve last month of MAY 17.2024 I have procedure angio plasty /angiogram
There are a lot of overlapping conditions here. Patients should get an Ophthalmology eval ASAP.
Thank you for sharing this information. My sister is taking this for Diabetes. I'll definitely be sharing this.
Omg this is scary 😮😮😮
Yeah there is a lot of people taking these medications! Its almost 9% over 3 years for a cumulative risk.
Thanks again! You are so good with your videos!
Yes please doctor will you respond. My roommate started it a few weeks ago and her sister and brothers are all on it for weight loss.
@@DoctorEyeHealth thank you for responding and so quickly🙏
Can you do a video on rosacea of the eyes.
I was diagnosed just yesterday with diabetes type 2 . I am currently waiting on my prescription for ozempic to come through… learning all about this , really frightens me now. 😞😭
Is there something we can monitor or lookout for with regular eye exams?
I just had this very scary. I quit taking it.
What about tirzepatide? Which is also known as Zepbound? It is a different drug, but has similar qualities as semaglutide?
The professor really knows what he's talking about. 👏🏻 Unlike some other posts I've seen.
I experienced secondary glaucoma and suddenly lost most of vision in right eye. When optic nerve is damaged its sudden vision loss. mine was from steroid eyedrops for my cornea surface.
Oh that sucks! Sorry to hear that. Why were you on steroid eye drops?
I think I’d freak out if my eyes weren’t in pain 😂
TY for the video! I was starting to look into taking it. I have enough eye problems already. I’ll pass for now.
My wife’s, brothers, friend just had a heart attack from ozempic. She is in the hospital recovering. 😬
Hahaha 😂
Should I consider dulaglutide to have similar risks to my vision?
3:00 No "FDA approved" or "Medicare apptoved" treatment.
I would like to know if timely HBOT has never helped "off label".
Can having a vasodilators like lutein, astaxanthin/ arginine help with increasing blood flow to the optic nerve?

Thank you, Doctor. Can oxygen therapy help improve those who have suffered eye damage due to Ozambic ???
Is Tirzepatide a semaglutide? Does it have the same risks?
what about Mounjaro? my Dr switched me to because too many people using Ozempic short supply. works same = same danger?
Can naion be misdiagnosed as a cataract?
So, if I have had a history of eye problems (cataracts, lazy eye, Lasix, and retina detachments), it sounds like it might be Russian roulette for my eyes if I take Ozempic or Viagra, and certainly not both at the same time?
Could you tell me if this is the same with monjaro ?
Hey doc, i was wondering how stem cell and eye desease relation in the curent era
Great question! There are some clinical trials ongoing for use of stem cells for dry eye and look largely positive for helping heal damaged corneal tissue and reducing inflammation. Nothing is approved or widely available yet.
my Uncle lost half his vision while on this drug
Does this devastating problem happen with all semaglutide drugs I e Rybelsus?
Perhaps, the study did look at semaglutide - not just specifically ozempic, wegovy etc. But more studies are needed.
I wonder ehats the case study numbers between actual Diabetic and non Diabetic side effects.
So it paralyses your eyes and stomach
Ozempic has a whole slew of terrible side effects
Interesting not everyone the same, I am T2 taking Ozempic and controlling my sugar it has helped my eyes health so far. Not to say an eye stroke can't happen.
I am taking Metforman 1,000 mg morning and 500 at night. I am not a diabetic. Is there any risk for this?
I was trying this and the second week at just the. .25 I started having blurry vision for two days. Sulfur burping and
Smell and some kind of exhaustion.
. I couldn’t even go to the next level of the injections. Even at .30 it was way worse. After stopping for a month my vision is mostly back to normal
nothing like healthy food in needed proportions and activity, and self acceptance
"You won't see any body fat in the mirror after taking this."
So in a way it’s a success🤷🏾♀
That's just bad lol. Whoever takes it wants to feel better too not just look better
Haha I get it
It's really muscle mass being destroyed from malnutrition like sarcopenia 👍
Tirzepatide cause same side effect?
They did not specifically test for that in this study. But it does work in a similar fashion. So more studies will tell .
It states on the Label "for single patient use only" What if you are Married?
😂
Finally,
Thank you, three years ago when the hospital wanted to put me on GLP-1 inhibitors, they pushed to prescribe Ozempic.
How'd you find out about eye problems being a risk? What's that based on? And why do you think Trulicity is okay to use? What makes it different?
All of the GLP-1 meds have the same ophthalmic complications, if you have a predisposition to have issues. One must already have Diabetic Retinopathy to have worsening or rebound. Rebound retinopathy and non-ateritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) can occur with sudden lowering of markedly elevated blood sugar through all methods, including insulin, oral meds, and starting renal dialysis.
Ehh, It's actually the opposite... A GLP-1 agonist.
WOW GOOD LUCK TO ALL HOLLIWOD FOLLOW THAT DIET !!! THANK U FOR SHARING

Can this data be used in anyway to make assumptions on the impact for users with glaucoma and / or elevated IOP glaucoma suspects?
It doesn't look like they collected for that data. But it is known that people with similar medical history (diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea) cary increased risk for glaucoma.
Hi doc! Does antidepressents suppress or prevent the effects of tear increaser drops like Restasis due to related side effects?
Hey thanks for asking! Many antidepressent medications are known to reduce tear production as well as inhibit mucin production on the surface of the eye, often making dry eye worse. I can't say they compete against cyclosporine medications (like restasis) but antidepressents often do make dry eye worse. Kind of a double edged sword, because depression on its own can contribute to dry eye...
