Also yes this thumbnail looks similar to the one I made about the mobile ads. I want to make this sort of evaluation of mobile games an annual tradition

@@whyiamafs must’ve been greed. Greed has consumed them to the point the person under the control of Greed is worshipped like a god, like a vicious cancer you can’t get rid of. Greed causes a mobile game dev to create awful things that attract towards ppl that like feet or big booties bc that makes money.
Meanwhile, passionate and talented game devs that genuinely put their blood, sweat, and tears into a game they genuinely loved and wanted to make are slowly fading into obscurity because of amateurs that waste tens of millions for a shitton of ads, unenjoyable experiences, fake reviews and fake ratings.
These awful mobile games like the ones on the video are almost certain to have a one to two star rating, with 99% budget being into the shitty ads , fake reviews and ratings.
Nah bruh. The new angry birds ads are exactly like these new game ads

Mobile game ads are a great way to show why a total lack of regulation in any industry is terrifying

I payed "become a queen" pretty far. It's a cliche story about ugly girl turns pretty and becomes prom queen, dating her nerd best friend.
After that story was finished a new one started about romancing your boss against a coworker.
I played further and the next story was a competition for who will marry the prince to become queen. The previous coworker was a contestant, she had character development as she came to save you.
I don't remember what happened next. Yes there were a lot of ads I had to watch.
Also, basically almost everything in mobile games/ads is about fat shaming shit these days, so I’m not surprised this happened to you.
I have commented that already so I copy-pasted it here. Brace yourself because it’s a *VERY* long comment.
I am 15 so still technically a kid, and I’ve seen ads about undr€ssing women on a literal freakin’ KIDS game. I do not even feel comfortable playing a game with ads in near my mom or in public anymore, since nowadays there’s not one single mobile game ad that doesn’t involve undr€ssing women or s€xu@lizing them. It’s truly disgusting, and as a girl it disgusts me even more. I even had to purchase an anti-ad thing on one of my few mobile games when my debit card still worked cuz I just couldn’t take it anymore.
Like, you don’t need to clickbait horny retired and divorced 50 year olds that don’t wanna spend time with their grandkids into playing your game.
Like, actually promote your game’s gameplay instead of making everything about seeing a woman’s unc€ns0red tits.
I only have a few mobile games on my phone, anything else is just things I use to make art or animation, or streaming services. Out of all of the games I have/had, only 3 used advertising tactics true to the gameplay, or even footage of the game itself, a LOT of them used falseful advertising tactics, and a few are just apps from my childhood that I reinstalled or that I just scrolled through the AppStore and happened to found it and downloaded it.
Briefly, there isn’t one mobile game ads that I’ve seen since 2020 that doesn’t involve $&xu@lizing women or f€t!$h crap. Like, they could be promoting a tycoon game or an RPG or Gacha/Genshin game, and they always have to put a woman wearing l!ng@r!e and a person trying to get her completely n@k£d. Honestly, I think mobile game advertising is dead.
I had to do some crazy censoring because UA-cam, all of a sudden, won’t let me post the comment. *Hmm, totally **_-not-_** suspicious at all.*
This hands down.. tells me you breathe through your mouth lmfao... degenerative at best
Bro my poor little ten year old brother got recommended an ad with an exaggerated anime girl looking naughtily at the screen, and it was BOUNCY. He has enough sanity to look away and blindly try tapping the X to escape 💀

Not sure if anyone else here has had this happen, but there are ads that literally download the app to your phone, no warning or asking of consent. I had this happen once with some kinda thing called "weather home" or such. This is just a HUGE violation of users.
same qnd I've had that happen with a news app too
YES!! for me these ads were even HIDDEN in my gallery. Like i legit had to enable "show hidden media" to delete them. Its hideous
@@floranse5205 That's caching, it's essentially done to both pre-load ads, and to make them still work even with internet turned off, pretty sure most ad engines delete them by themselves although not sure which one you encountered
oh what the actual.
im pretty sure thats a genuine crime.
I've had ads that pop up the skip button, then HIDE it when I don't tap fast enough.
Why
Ad society has turned too far. They definitely need to start turning back to the good old mobile game ads!
This is why I love classic mobile games like Angry Birds and Pocket Frogs. They don’t constantly beg you for money, and are actually fun.
We took them for granted.
To be fair most of the early mobile games were just reskinned flash games.

I completely forgot about Pocket Frogs.

But sometimes I need relaxing one like idle but it's playable and not terrible
I remember 10 years ago when people thought mobile phone/tablet games would put handheld gaming giants like Nintendo out of the portable game market.
Looks like Mario, Link, & Samus have nothing to fear.
I remember when the DS and Wii were called the kings of shovelware. Mobile gaming dethroned _them_ in a hurry.
I have personally started to regularly just ..... stop skipping the mobile game ads when they show up on YT, it's not because the ads are good or that I'm interested in the game but rather because I'm just .... really fascinated by the trainwreck that's unfolding in front of me, it's just so bad I have to keep watching just to make sure I don't miss anything
Same... however it's usually because the 'X' is just hidden for 30 seconds... or it's too tiny and I accidentally open up the app store lol.
@@Kanyon85no they will open up the AppStore immediately. I have to click at least 3-5 X’s before I actually skip an ad. 🤦🏽♀️
There’s a game I play called BitLife, before, when an ad pops up, the X shows up at the 1/4’s or the middle of the ad. Now, the X never shows up before the last 3 seconds of the ad, or never shows up at all, and sometimes I had to restart the app to skip it, and when the X actually shows up I have to click 5 times :
1. The first time I click it,
2. When it shows the interactive version of the ad,
3. When the app screen pops up,
4.When it shows you the in-app AppStore,
5. When the app screen shows up AGAIN.
Bonus if you misclick and/or it leads you to the actual AppStore.
I actually hit mute when YT ads play. I couldn't bear the nonsense. I wish ads were interesting that match an individual's unique interests offered in the right time.

The sad thing is these games are advertised towards children
just wanted to highlight an actual breath of fresh air in the mobile gaming world, that i think more people should be playing: sky children of the light. isn't really a traditional "game", but more of a social playground experience with zero ads or required in app purchases (though certain cosmetics are quite pricey).
the game really does a good job at creating really nice interactions between real players, and most of the game is quite relaxing and just an overall good experience, and it has the most wholesome community out of any game i've seen. (it's also now on ps5 and switch, but started as a mobile game only)
I can only agree. However, it wasn't my type of game sadly so I dropped it quite quickly

Not even Vinesauce could save his sanity when watching mobile game ads. Now there are mobile games that have shitty advertisements, and this comment is sponsored by: RAID SHADOW LEGENDS, BABYYYYYYYY! Jk
Omg Tenple Run was literally my whole Screen time alongsides any Outfit7 game or Subway Surfues, and Fruit Ninja.
I have a theory that one or two companies make almost every mobile game in the store, and use different company names. That’s why a many of them have similar names, gameplay, art styles, and advertisement campaigns.
Maybe but a more likely explanation is convergent evolution. Companies test what's most likely to get downloaded and naturally similar ideas ended up working the best.

I played one of those "choose your own adventure" visual novel games because I was bored and holy crap, it was a trip. You have to pay real money to pick the good option and I wasn't about to do that, so I got railroaded into all the bad options and the story got really downhill bonkers fast because of it. It was a while ago so I don't remember specifics, but the particular story I was playing involved a woman getting stalked by a serial killer and some guy who was trying to protect her, and it was like an episode of Law and Order if it were a half assed dating sim.
Similar things happened with a game called Arcane... forgot the full name, but the story was kind of fictional world, the main character is a young oracle had mission to save the world from the devil while also dating simulator with either the villain or the heroes.
Back then I don't know such light novel games also had this pay to win feature. I was so betrayed when seeing how I can't pick good options and had to get along with bad ending. And the price for getting good options are equals to 7-10 times watching ads to get free coins.
Saw the game's history was planned as pc light novel games but changed to mobile ones as it was easier to milk money, I choose to uninstall them. Too bad the potential of good story wasted just because such lousy feature

The way mobile games are these days; I agree. It’s ridiculous. And sometimes these ads will launch you into the App Store even when you click the X after watching it. Mobile games these days are also easy to get bored of. It’s fun for like 3 days, then you’re over it.

My guess for the "game" part in the titles is because a lot of people who play mobile games are probably people who wouldn't really call themselves "gamers", and I can see how, if it doesn't really matter to you what the title is or who made it, you would just search for "funny game" or "match 3 tile game" or "puzzle game". So the ones with "game" in the title would strike more key words and then automatically pop up higher in the recommendations because the app store would just see that it matches the best with what you asked it to give you. It looks and feels pretty fucking stupid for anyone with any gaming experience at all, but, for example, I can see my mother, who just downloads an escape room puzzle game, finishes it, deletes it and gets another one (which is completely valid, especially if there isn't much replayability), wouldn't really care or think twice at those kinds of titles. My mom isn't very old either, but she just isn't a gamer in any way, she just occasionally plays a game for a while on her phone and that's it. She doesn't play candy crush for hours either. I think the closest to a gamer she would be is playing the Sims (which I think is a pretty fun game. I'll have to try it sometime). But she isn't too interested in video games in general

Nowadays there are no real age restrictions + every garbage is on it anyways and the idea of only letting quality products in it got lost somewhere at apple screen holder for 1000$ or maybe Mac rolls for 450$ per roll
