- The 2024 Land Cruiser arrives after a three year break with an all-new design. Find out 5 reasons why the new generation is better than the last.
This icon of off-roading has returned with a bold new design that dumps the soft flowing lines of the outgoing model in favor of a more masculine, angular look. The big news is the price. Toyota says it will start in the mid $50,000 range with production beginning in 2024.

Im so glad they didn't make the front end look like most recent generations of 4runners and Tacomas
It's much more modern and aggressive looking!
Right? Though it still has parts that pay homage to previous models, like the grille
One of very few Calty design I actually like.
Where is Eric Standing here? Appears to be in Landcruiser Heaven?
I definitely like it in that blue, too bad there isn’t a third row option. Also a 2.4L..I get it but it will always be in the shadows of the new GX if you have the extra money.
Full time 4wd is a winner as is a full size spare. Downside is no power rear window. Wondering if that means a revamped 4Runner is on the horizon….
LC200-LC300 Prado to this
TOYOTA priced the LC200 out of the US market we only had the top,top luxury model ,other markets had a basic utilitarian model had 2 row cloth seats steel rims and diesels ,plus the 70 series v8 diesels , prado ( GX460 V8 only in the US } 4 CY DIESEL in other makets.this is a good move for Toyota , if we could get a 70 series troop carrier the size of a defender 130 or grand Cherokee L
Absolutely right. I hate when reviewers compare this to the LC200. This is a totally different car and should be compared to the previous prado/gx 460. The LX600 should be compared
To the LC200
Claiming a Prado is better than the last 200 series clearly shows what shills you people are for Toyota. This is an oversized 4runner with a 4 cylinder, less ground clearance and 55k price tag.
It will last forever!
Best looking Toyota suv since the early 80s I love it so much. F the haters seething in their tahoes😂 this makes the bronco irrelevant. Also yes it looks like a new fjcruiser and that’s fine it’s all in the dna 🧬
FJ if it was more like wrangler bronco , top ,doors come off ,it was a cave that one cant see out the side or back as for tahoe Z71, expedition timberline , wagoneer 3 row luxury cars all have indpendent rear axles for a smooth ride and leg room for the 3rd row the sequoia TRD pro has solid rear axle but a $80k luxury car 3rd rorw takes up to much space when folded
@@Jo5ue1 solid rear axel is better than a independent rear axel suv now if the sequoia trd pro was more off road than 3 row luxury car id buy it no need for. 3 rows do like the GX550 new LC I need payload and cargo space be able to tow
@@Jo5ue1 bwahaha typical Toyota fanboi lol this land cruiser has a unproven 2.4 liter turbo , turbo don't last long, this is shitty version of the true LC .
Fab ethos. Cheaper. Trade bid parts job. Just excellent idea.
I like that they went back to the ethos of the land cruisers from when I was a kid in the 80's with a simple clean design that blends american modernity with that classic japanese utilitarian look.
If I had the money I'd almost certainly get one as my next vehicle.
my fav was the 1988-90 J62 wagon yes dealers will mark them up
It isn’t American modernity, it’s just modernity. If it was American it would be big, fat and ugly.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❗❗
Woooow 🎉🎉😂
Premature to talk about reliability for a new model
Whats up with the cloth seats on the entry level version though? Toyota needs to stop doing that.
Most manufacturers have entry level cloth seats
want vinyl seats ?
@@youtubecarspottersguide1 Yup 💯
Not everyone wants pleather seats. If anything, clothes seats should be optional on all trims.
LC 200 was over priced 3 row luxury. bardge we only had the top top trim level totota priced them out of the U.S .market
No, I don't see FJ Cruiser in it. GMC Hummer looks like one, not this Prado thing
Fjcruiser kind of got a hummer vibe and I know I’m not the first person to think that
@@RN-fx3zl idk, to me FJ Cruiser is clearly FJ40 vibe
@@RN-fx3zl well, ok, I guess, kinda. Specifically H2 Hummer vibe. Maybe a little bit. On the other hand, if we just see some similar proportions, it doesn't necessarilly mean those two cars have commom inspiration or one inspired the other. There's not many ways to design a big short (legth-wise) chonky offroader
it’s (new) 4RuNNer ⚠️
No, some people are speculating the new 4runner to be smaller then this, basically the new FJ....
I wanted this 4WD. The only thing missing is a long range fuel tank and the spare wheel in the back with barn doors. Do that any no other 4WD cones close.
Waiting for someone to post "tHiS iS WhAt DeFeNdER sHouLD hAvE bEeN"
Didn't it just get a makeover.
Elaborate....
This is the new LC J250, the redesigned J150 LandCruiser Prado worldwide / Lexus GX 460 here in the states. The new 300 series is still sold in the rest of the word, only sold as the Lexus LX600 here in US and Canada.
My first vehicle was a 1996 for bronco midnight edition lifted pre runner style what I'm getting at is the new bronco you can lift even the Jeep and they look good u don't see anyone doing that with this land cruiser looks boring
It's a Costco Cruzer not a Land Cruzer
Land Cruiser has been famous for being one of the few vehicles that offer front differential lock. This doesn't have one while the international model has that option in GR spec. It's not a Land Cruiser, it's a disgrace! A Prado at best.
other markets have the 70 serries , LC prado and the LC300
But this a pardo...
@@youtubecarspottersguide1 no sh*t!
