I'm a programmer and a tech savvy and one think of my job is always being connected to social media and job apps. It got to the point that I was coding from my Iphone 14 pro at 2am and checking all of my social media at the same time. I decided to pull the plug one day when my wife and I where sitting down in the living room and we where both in our smart-phones meanwhile our 3 year old daughter was playing alone enjoying every single moment and us loosing out on her happiness, I felt disgusted knowing that I was missing out from my daughter's most valuable moments and I said enough is enough! My biggest thing is maps. I want to switch to a dumb phone so bad but I literally use google maps on a daily basis to get to new places I have never been to before. I know you said you just memorized it but like I live in an extremely big and busy city so there is just no way I can memorize a route like what you mentioned.
I've never really owned a smartphone for an extended period of time (can't keep from breaking the damn things) but the times I did have one I was miserable. Constantly burdened with stupid crap that I normally leave at my computer desk. I went back to my Nokia 3390b (the original 3310s american counterpart) and I'm never looking at smartphones as a viable option again. If they phase feature phones out entirely I'm just going landline only.
Switched from a OnePlusNord2 to a Samsung guru 1200 ( DUMB PHONE ) yesterday. Gonna try and stick to it for the next 2 and a half years. Essentially, i was wasting too much time on my phone so yea..gonna use my laptop for Instagram and UA-cam now
The only thing I will miss and partly the reason I ever had one to start with is the convenient camera, slim digital cameras are a crazy price likes £300 for a basic one the cannon g7 ii is like £700. I've tried cheaper ones and they are worse than my galaxy.

I was forged with those phones, and yes we texted in groups mid convo on that dial pad
My biggest thing is maps. I want to switch to a dumb phone so bad but I literally use google maps on a daily basis to get to new places I have never been to before. I know you said you just memorized it but like I live in an extremely big and busy city so there is just no way I can memorize a route like what you mentioned.
Blackberry
I got very good texting with those type of keys back in tge day
Hello!! I had purchased a model that did not read the sd card !! have you tried to insert it? Is there anything special to set up?
I agree! Love your channel❤️
The Nokia 3310 3G has Java so you can download some pretty sweet games transferred via bluetooth install files. It works great.
I had one of those original ones…omg i wanted to buy that but they shutdown 3g last year I read so bummer
Switched from a OnePlusNord2 to a Samsung guru 1200 ( DUMB PHONE ) yesterday. Gonna try and stick to it for the next 2 and a half years. Essentially, i was wasting too much time on my phone so yea..gonna use my laptop for Instagram and UA-cam now
texting with t9 is not really bad.
The memorising maps thing is a good point. I swear my memories got a lot worse since sat nav
This is one review video which I really, really liked. just somehow i dunno..
This needs a hotspot
The only thing I will miss and partly the reason I ever had one to start with is the convenient camera, slim digital cameras are a crazy price likes £300 for a basic one the cannon g7 ii is like £700. I've tried cheaper ones and they are worse than my galaxy.
Just get a physical camera!
@@diyabahukhandi6632 I want convenience to capture spontaneous moments, it has to be small, and if you are thinking I'm going to get some old fashioned thing that uses film, that's out of the question as no one prints them any more where I live.
@@audibleadventures9004 they make small digital cameras like a canon powershot 360 u use a usb to connect it to your laptop then transfer the photos from there
I'm thinking of buying a 4g nokia 3310, the Only thing i Need but i don't know if It has It it's WhatsApp
I have nokia 3310 i love it
Everyone has the same dumb phone as me. Thanks for choosing Finnish Nokia.
No one mentions the music… the only reason I won’t switch to a brick phone is bc I don’t want to download 2000 songs on it
I had to get a flip phone as a secondary phone because calls won't come throu on my Smart phone but the broadband works well on my smartphone so I decided to have an additional proprietary phone because i Don't call people that much .
hi
could always buy a GPS for Maps.
Solid dude, good move
You can go get a KAI OS phone which add maps and essential apps to the dumb phone. its a sweet spot.
WHY DOES EVERYONE CALL CELL PHONES "DUMB PHONES" LIKE THATS JUST PHONE-IST
You’re so right.
having a laptop defeats the object
you can text people with this phone.. the t1 easy typing is extremly good
Thanks for posting. I relate to this a lot.
please never stop making videos :)
pro:s more effective
cons: breaks after 100 slams😂
Point proven
Great video
i guess you have to use nokia 130. Additional feature: You can play music in mp3 too there.
Nice review bro. Do you still use it? It's kinda inconvenient when using today
Great video!
Still using it?
Oh you got the blue one too!!
Also if you text on a 10 key pad enough you can master it. takes 1 minute or less to punch out a paragraph when you really get to it
doesn't the Nokia 3310 have maps on it? I thought it Kaios which had some basic apps like whatsapp and maps and such.
My version doesn't have maps or anything (maybe I'm missing an update), the only way I can think of how to get maps is using the finicky web version
@@jack_scollay the 3310 isnt running kaiOS, the 2720 however does
Jack, you should buy a gps for your vehicle. You can find them pretty cheaply on eBay.
