Hi guys. Great video. Keep up the great work. Now for the Porsche keys. The key painted Miami blue which you thought goes into your pocket, it is actually the key the goes into the ignition semi permanently and will start the car providing you have the other key in your pocket or close proximity. It is part of the Keyless Entry Package on this car. You will have to press a little plastic clip on the ignition so you could insert or remove this particular key and it will reside there permanently and stay inserted in the ignition permanently and going forward you could start the car or open the doors without the need for the actual key in your hand, but it must be somewhere close to the vehicle like in your pocket. I own 8 Porsches and very familiar with these cars, and If you still have questions about the key I can make a short video using one of my cars of how to insert this key and how it functions and send to you. But also if you have any other Porsche question please don’t hesitate to contact me. Mark
I may be wrong, but I think they said the same thing. I think the yellow key was put into the ignition to allow it to charge.
@@deanwyatt2897 Porsche doesn’t use chargeable batteries for their keys. You must replace the battery when the battery becomes low. The battery is Lithium 3V CR2032 Battery which is available everywhere. Mark

Hey guys! You should definitely look into getting an electric sliding gate instead of having to get out and open and close it when you enter or depart the shop! Have your own remotes so no one can open it but you guys and whoever you’d like to have access. Possibly a button in the shop/office to ‘buzz’ people in!!

@@1one3_Racing That Porsche definitely deserves better than that. It’s definitely not how you fix a 80-100 dollars car. The dash leather is never going to look natural now. Those aftermarket bumpers don’t look like they are very well made either. With all the other carbon fiber they should have just went to carbon route. Lots of corners cut. Yes I’ve restored too many cars/trucks over the years and didn’t lie cutting corners. If it had my name attached to it I wanted quality. Didn’t want to give the next owner anything to complain or talk crap about.

@@1one3_Racing you’re most likely correct. It disappoints me they got to a point where they tried to put good quality parts on their builds ad really tried to finish out the build the best they can given they haven’t been trained to restore vehicles and only have limited experience just using what they’ve learned by going hands on and taking advice from others. They seemed to have moved more to pushing their sauces and watching them cook and eat. I just enjoyed their original get a car and build it videos. Sometimes it’s okay to get to see some of the other stuff on the side occasionally but truthfully they should leave most of that to there other channel/channels. I believe that’s why there viewers have more or less leveled off.

Hey guys quick little tip for where you cut the carpet is rubber door seam seal heated and put around the cut edge up against the roll cage !!! Awesome as always !!!! Been watching since the beginning with jeeps !!!!

no need save weight normal street car, if u have pro race then need only save weight and more power. but daily drive car not newer need carbon or more power.

That dash fix is fire. Never see it done before. Huge help to me as I have a scratched up leather seat. might just try it
Please dont, these repairs will do nothing, especially on a leather seat. It is better to get them re done, it will only make it worse.

I would highly consider sending dash to get a factory alcantara wrap with the blue Stiching. This build calls for no shortcuts. Can’t wait to see the 1st drive on this one. @@halpinio1234 I could see specs of dust in it from certain angles. They also used windshield adhesive instead of epoxy to bond the carbon roof. They make it sound nice and swell but some of the work is simply amateur.
@@sheets900 they said when paining there was bits of dirt in it and they would need to buff it out. They also said they used window adhesive to fit the roof I believe it had screws too. Link in your channel there so we can take a look at your work.

Incredible progress and so much hard work. I cannot imagine putting all that back together after it being in pieces for so long. Ya'll have a good system of keeping track of things like screws, clips, parts.... etc. Very exciting. Take extra safety precautions on this one, especially with that electrical. Great work on DIY save on the dash. That is how you make money and keep your skills tuned.
That was a horrible job on the dash. It will crack in less than a week, and they will have to replace it no matter what.

They are pretty organized keeping different parts in boxes and taking photos of stuff as it comes apart.
I've seen other videos where they look through pics to see how something was assembled.
I did car audio for years and removing and reinstalling complete interiors and doing dash removals can be intimidating. Once things start going back together everything falls into place.
The Porsche is coming along nicely. I love it when a car goes back together.
My OCD is driving me but bout yall painting that dash

You need to put the cage in now. It’s the perfect time. Otherwise you’ll have to strip the interior again to fit it. I’ve just had a cage fitted and they had to strip everything out.

You need an organizer for parts to be ordered and repairs to be outsourced well ahead of time. No more "we forgot to order" or "just realized we had to order" . Dang Son, all that meat mid day would just slow me right down and spend a lot of time on the toilet.

Shouldve sent the dash out for new leather, a $20 solution on a 100k car, all you did was ruin the rest of the dashboard lol

@Dino with the heat the dash is going crack due to the paint. They have no choice but to replace it. They should of just replaced it the first time instead of attempting a repair.

Great build guys! Don't forget to put insulation on the inside of the roof before putting the headliner on, otherwise it will make a lot of noise from the roof!
You can’t leave that dash like that after all the work you did to that car.. bring it to get custom laguna blue inserts leather or suede
Ive been watching you boys for about ayear i love the way you try anything. But then getting to see how you are with your family chokes me .i feel like i no your dad and mum .you're dad is my favourite my dad was a lorry driver and because of that me and my middle brother got into that industry. But boys ive got 4 brothers and wish i had the relationship you have with yours love the channel. You 2 are addictive.
Get the dashboard professionally done. Diy repair kits will make your dash look good for the meantime but will later show the imperfections. Its hard to drive while always seeing your imperfect dash !
