It's crazy to think that when I first saw Shadow of the Colossus on PS2 my friends and I were literally FREAKING out at how amazing the graphics were. Here we are in 2018 experiencing what we currently think are outstanding graphics that seem like they can't get much better... But in 10 years this will look in comparison how the PS2 version looks now.. Imagine that. *I love video games*
Agreed. But honest to god the ps2 version has aged incredibly. You could still pop it in today and appreciate how good it still looks. Yes, next to the PS4 version it looks dated. But on its own it holds up very well. I think so at least haha
i dnt rly agree with you on the 10 years thing, we reached a very high resolution, even if games receive a higher resolution, it rly wont make a difference
Graphics are reaching a peak. It's more to do with textures, lighting and art design now. Every since PS3 games have been more or less the same. The generational jumps are going to get smaller and smaller now. So happy I got to live through those earlier years when a new console was a truly groundbreaking shift in graphics and capabilities.
Ralph Bassim , Kevtb87 I can agree that graphics are currently jaw dropping at certain moments. I do however stand my ground with what I said. They will still greatly surpass modern technology, when I say this I mean full in-game engine. Look at high budget CG cutscenes like the Witcher and anything by Blizzard. I'm sure actual gameplay will reach that point eventually. Look at early PS3 games vs late PS3 games (Uncharted 1 vs Uncharted 3 is a good example). The same applies to PS4 games from 2013-2018. In 10 years I'm fairly positive that the PS5 or PS6 will be pushing some unimaginable content. :)
Honestly when I saw the first trailer of the PS4 version I didn't think much of it. My mind was playing tricks on me, because when I first saw the PS2 version, my eyes saw it as we see the PS4 version now: incredibly beautiful. After watching the trailer a couple times and now seeing this, I'm stoked asf.
Radhe B Krisnanda Performance mode will prioritise frame rate (eg boost from 30fps to 60fps) but the game will look ‘worse’ - whereas cinematic will boost graphics but keep performance more down.
In theory, it would be personal preference. Some people would be cool with sacrificing better anti-aliasing, advanced lighting FX, and texture filtering for 60 fps. Others would prefer a fuller visual experience at 30 fps--especially in less twitchy games. In practice, the "performance" modes in games aren't hitting 60 fps and instead often give the player an uncapped frame rate that will vary between 40 and 55 fps leading to noticeable judder. Meanwhile resolution modes have a lower frame rate (sometimes just above/below 30), but are often more stable. (I have a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One X. So, I have an unhealthy obsession with these things.)
I see what you mean, it's called *lightbloom* and it's a hardware effect that was handled by the PS2 and that has every modern emulator on its knees. I think this effect alone just took away 10 fps on the ps2
That's exactly what I was thinking. That background glowing at distance, always gave me the sensation of being watched by an ominous entity all the time.
Videl Awn no doubt that remaster would a better experience to play by far I just will kind of miss that slightly exaggerated surreal lighting it was pretty unique
I'mso getting this. This game changed my life after I played it more than 10 years ago. Kow Otani composed this amazing music and I'm so glad they used the same tracks for this remaster.
Bloody useless The only other composer who I consider better than Kow's is James Horner. To me, he's the best. But Kow made sure every single track of this game felt unique.
+El Guardian I'm with you there with James Horner appreciation. He scored so many great movies, I'm sure your list may be different, but for me the film scores for The Land Before Time, Jumanji and Cocoon are timeless. I'm always going back to them. The orchestration is incredible. RE SotC (PS4), did they remaster any of Kow Otani's music? Or reorchestrate any of it?
The game's graphics definitely look amazing. But the PS2 version has a certain charm to it in terms of lighting and aesthetic. I will buy this game. But from what I've seen, I think I'm always gonna prefer the original. And I'm not saying the original looks better in terms of visual fidelity or anything like that. I just think PS2 version looks better IN IT'S OWN WAY. And I don't think its nostalgia because I played through the PS2 version a year before they announced the PS4 version. However, I won't make any for-sure statements until I play the remastered version.
Yeah, I think I may end up agreeing. Though the PS2 version felt like it was too ambitious for the hardware, that limitation lent it a distinctly barren identity that the gorgeous looking remake may inevitably negate. The fact that the PS3 version was essentially an up rezzed rerelease makes it better than the blurry original in my book, without fundamentally altering the vibe. Still, I probably have to get this and see for myself.
You will be able to play it with a similar look if you want. Considering the track record of PS games with HDR support you will more than likely have full exposure control over the HDR component and the tone mapping for non-HDR screens. Play this game in a non-hdr monitor with the exposure opened and you will be able to play with an overexposed skies. After all the glow in the original was trying to simulate camera exposure effects at the time.
Graphics have improved dramatically , but artistry has significantly decreased these days , just make everything bright and shiny ... The original colour and dullness were in fitting with the tone ... It was gloomy and moody , now it's bright and shiny
This year is gonna be another big year for playstation god of war in april this on february spiderman in fall days gone maybe in june dreams by media molecule and days gone all dropping this year
Wander's face looks too weird for me in the new version. I mean, the rest looks amazing (scenery, physics, bumpmap, lighting), but I can't get over how much he looks like a doll in the remake. He always looked like a girl, but now his face looks like it's made of plastic. Then again, you're not gonna look at his face for most of the game anyways...
Yeah, I agree, and now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder how he'll look later on in the game too. I'm worried that the new model might not look as messed up as the old one ended up.
By today's standards, the original game had incredible animations, and still breathtaking environments that are believable and fit together perfectly. I will always be impressed by this game
The Cinematic mode is what I dig for this game more even though Im usually a performance guy. The cinematic feel is really what made this game so special.
I played this fantastic game so long ago, the only things that really stuck with me were the encounters and the story. Seeing the old graphics now is really fascinating. A game truly deserving of this treatment.
While the remake looks incredible I played the HD collection last year & it still looks good to me considering it's 13yrs old now, what they could do on a ps2 was amazing, the open world art design & no loading times. I can't wait for the remake, it's one of my favourite games, the soundtrack especially is one of the best ever made
AWESOME! Only that this ambient light on the 1st game, gives it such a misterius and wide atmosphere, that the new graphics kina restrain, but apart from that everything looks AWESOME!
Nossa mesmo sendo de 2 gerações atrás, o Playstation 2 ainda consegue ser Incrível, como conseguiu fazer esse jogo com a quantidade de memórias tão limitadas da época??? Impressionante!!

Yeah, I'm willing to bet a lot of that is becaue of the color palette. The PS2 version looks a lot more washed out and ethereal. There's also something about how much more realistic the character models are in this remake that kind of doesn't do it for me.
Just cleared that wonderful game for the first time today. It was a tremendous experience, one of the best I had playing video-games to date. However I was wondering how far the initial team was involved in this remake. Bluepoint is an american studio so I hope that the initial director / other Japanese art director supervise the new environment, texture and lighting...
cinematic looks a little bit sharper because its 4k and i think performance mode is running at 1440p because it looks amazing especially the 60fps upgrade !
Just to clarify, the PS2 game has progressive scan and 16:9 options, which they ignored in this comparison (and they make a pretty big difference, and it's pretty sick for a PS2 game). Not including these options in this comparison is purposefully making the game look worse.
This video made me appreciate the costume design of Wander. Gaming awards seriously need to hand out awards for costume design and interior/exterior design.
Well no, I had a handful of reasons to get a pro, this was just the one I'm most excited for. I had been wanting an hd version of this game for so long, the moment I saw the teaser, I knew I would buy one.
For people saying the original looks like you’re in a dream like land and the new game has lost that.. I got the new game yesterday and can say it still has that feeling like you’re in some magical land floating in the sky, almost like you’re in some sort of heaven. I can’t argue with anything about this remaster, it’s absolutely incredible.
This is not a mere game. It's an emotion. The depth of the collosus and the weight they carry in this world is heartfelt. Buy the physical copies and trade later. But make sure you experience this once in your life.
I remember Roger Ebert shooting his mouth off and saying "Games can't be art!" not long after Shadow of the Colossus came out. MAN was that hilarious timing, because his inbox/mail was FLOODED with people saying "Uh, dude? There's this game you probably don't know about that's hailed as one of the most artistic games in a LONG time that you probably don't know about called Shadow of the Colossus..."
It’s crazy, because even for it’s time it still looks fantastic. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug though, back then SOTC on the Ps2 looked like what it looks like on the PS4 today until you make that comparison lol.
I think the only little detail missing is the amount of fog that gave the ps2 version that sense of a dream type of land, like something mysterious, deep and cold making everything look a little bigger for our eyes. But the rest is sooo damn good, can't wait to play this masterpiece!
Man.. the original still looks good in its own way. Certain games from ps1 and ps2 made the pixelation work to their advantage style wise. Vagrant story also still looks good.
dizzyarcher01 Lol how was this ever useful in the original. And I've noticed some other games doing it too. Fun fact though, you can MOVE in the cinematics unlike the original (for example when the 14th colossus knocks down the totems, you can move around in the cutscene).
This is a graphics comparison video that's actually worth watching. The difference is even more jarring than I expected. They did a great job remastering this game. I hope it sells well.
The visual difference is outstanding. I just hope they also did a good remaster of the audio. For what I heard in the gameplay video, the music sounds compressed as hell. I hope is just UA-cam ruining it. I don't want it to be like with Skyrim Special Edition, were they upgraded the graphics but ended up downgrading the audio.
This game is just something else. I played it on the PS2 but never finished it as I found the controls a little difficult. I managed to finish this though on my PS4 Pro and what an intense experience. Probably my favourite game ever. I have a question though to anyone else using an HDR compatible TV. Do you find in HDR mode, the picture looks worse? I also found this with The Last Guardian. It just looks a bit more washed out. All my other games in HDR mode look better for it but not these 2 games. I'm wondering if its just me.
You haven't heard? Digital Foundry got the specs of a game wrong and called the Devs lazy. So the Devs tweeted at them saying it's wrong, we're not lazy and threatened them with a lawsuit. Probably it won't take place because DF replied they would run tests again.
I mean, to be fair, the fact that the PS2 version is able to run as well as it did, while still looking as good as it does on that hardware is a small miracle. It is a more technically impressive version, because of the technical limitations of the time. I feel the same way about the Crash Trilogy remake that came out last year.
Rico Uk the "water color" is actually just the haze the ps2 would make when it was rendering far away objects. It's an open world, SotC was so far ahead of it's time on a technical level it's crazy.
Well, at the time they were doing with Shadow on PS2 things the PS2 hardware was not built to do, so it was impressive. None of what the PS4 version is doing is new, from a technical point of view, or pushes the hardware to its limits. And that is not a dig to what Bluepoint has done here, which is simply terrific. It is just a reality of how much game consoles and game engines have advanced in the same span of time since the first game came out.
Now THAT's what I call a Remastered and not those like 2013 games remade in 2018. Can't be that huge. But this? This looks amazing. Can't wait to play it for the first time (old Nintendo Fanboy who never had a PS2 or PS3 speaking)
Mr. Fiddlesticks With the added detail and improved lighting it looks larger and more impressive even though it’s the same size. You’re stating the obvious..
PS2 looks like a Nintendo DS in this side by side. I mean, it was a fantastic console, one of the best, but graphics- wise technology has evolved so much.
My GOD, this looks amazing! Don't have a Pro but I'd probably be using Performance more if I did. There's not really much of a difference to speak on when they showed still images between that and Cinematic at the end. lmao
Really great choice of examples to show clear and obvious scene differences. This really highlights how while the PS4 version looks great, it completely changes the aesthetics and cinematography for the worse. Turns out having ultra hi-res textures, a high frame rate, and everything in perfect focus doesn't help when you don't capture the artistry.
I think I still rather play the remaster for PS3. Since it's almost the same vision Ueda had for the original game. Not that this doesn't look good. Don't get me wrong, it looks AMAZING; but the art style seems way off compared to the original...
Ochinpo You can actually add the filter to the entire gameplay in the settings, they are the same filters u find in Photo Mode, except they apply even outside Photo Mode
It's because you probably played it on a CRT TV. PS2 games were designed with CRT in mind, it looks terrible on anything other than crt. (Unless you run this game on a PS2 emulator on PC and upsacle the resolution)
The only difference between the ps2 and ps3 versions of Shadow is rendering resolution, which if I remember correctly ran at 720p or a higher than 720p mode that you could force by unchecking the 720p box on ps3, but that mode would have impacted performance. Regardless, it's all the same assets. Also, it's more interesting to see the very first original version compared to the new remake. You're seeing 2 generations of graphical fidelity and rendering resolution, which really serves as a marker of how far game technology has come in only the 13 years since the game's original release
Maybe because the PS2 version is the one that originated this, the original source, which the PS3 version did not. Why would you want to compare it against a version that a), was not the original, b), was just a remaster and not a remake, and c), is not the one you will be playing on a PS4?
Cinematic Mode doesn't improve the image quality enough to overcome the jarring frame rate decrease, in my opinion. I would rather stick with Performance Mode.
Eh, for a game like this where input delay isn't really all that important I'd probably go with cinematic. This is honestly more of an experience than it is a video game, if that makes any sense. But for fighters and shooters yeah performance all the way.
Not in a million years. 60fps doesn't do nothing to this game and doesn't worth the graphical downgrade.. especially if you have a 4k TV. Cinematic mode is the way to go.
The new graphics completely misses the mark. The exaggerated bloom effect gives a etheral look to the PS2 title. The modern look is impressive on a technical level, yes. But gone is the atmosphere that defines Shadow of the Colossus as a all time classic. At least the HD release on PS3 keeps the experience intact.
Zhibou You're asking for the impossible, part of the reason the PS2 version look like that is because of the limitations. Of course with better graphics it's only natural that some things are gonna change.
I heard the exact same complaints with the crash remakes and guess what, it turned out great and almost everyone loved it. Thank god people like you are in the vocal minority.
And i had those similar complaints. Crash remake looks like a beautiful modern cg animated feature, far from the simplistic and angular approach of the original. But through the old limitations shine a cartoon aesthetic with a Tex Avery vibe. Vibe altogether lost for a more rounded look.
I did not realize theyd be completely reshaping the character models and environment. this is impressive!
Great to see you here man!

I feel like it isn't really a game for story but more so for gameplay which is amazing.
It is worth it? Ive never played it
Oh my God yes!
Amazing. Hope they do ICO next.
Now this is a remaster! It's amazing the almont of care and polish put in this game 💜💜💜 Ubisoft and EA, take notes!
This is like black and white
Naw, this doesn't have a giant cow that you can teach kung-fu.
Erkan Dönmez but it's in color!
Night and Day
SherlockHyde u are smart
PS2 Graphics look way better
You must be so poor you still have PS2 console and cant afford prescription glasses.
Veins Spot on man..You would have to be blind not to see the superiority of the PS2😁😆😂
Dude buy some glasses ok?
Clive Boyce how’s last last gen coming alone? Can’t wait to play surfs up on PS2?
well nobody know sarcasim
It's insane how this game looked on PS2. This was pushing the limits of the console. Good times.
Came here to justify my hype for demon's souls
same lol
Now that we remastered Shadow of the Colusus, can we get a remaster of Metal gear solid 4.
Gordon Shumway it's a remake don't a remaster
How about get all of team ICOs games on ps4 and do an ICO remake?
Metal gear solid 4 still looks really good tho lol what the hell
Gordon Shumway 3***********
I never got to play MGS4 when it came out originally, i really want to play it.
The first comparison video ive watched where the differance is VISABLE !!
One of my all time favorites, it was way ahead of it's time.
it's always crazy to see stuff like this because in my opinion the PS4 Pro versions are how the PS2 versions looked to me as a kid.
Makes you appreciate the PS2 so much more, the quality of games was incredible
I think the only little detail missing is the amount of fog that gave the ps2 version that sense of a dream type of land, like something mysterious, deep and cold making everything look a little bigger for our eyes.
But the rest is sooo damn good, can't wait to play this masterpiece!
The super bloom? I also think there is a filter you can apply to give that feel
An absolute masterpiece. Amazing soundtrack and atmosphere.
Man.. the original still looks good in its own way. Certain games from ps1 and ps2 made the pixelation work to their advantage style wise. Vagrant story also still looks good.
Yes, but can you move the camera during the cinematics still?
dizzyarcher01 Lol how was this ever useful in the original. And I've noticed some other games doing it too.
Fun fact though, you can MOVE in the cinematics unlike the original (for example when the 14th colossus knocks down the totems, you can move around in the cutscene).
@@condab You could do that in the original.
The ending made me tear up...THIS IS THE ONLY GAME IN MY LIFE THAT MANAGED TO DRAW OUT SUCH EXTREME EMOTIONS FROM ME! Please do try it!
Shadow of the Colossus is a masterpiece
This is a graphics comparison video that's actually worth watching. The difference is even more jarring than I expected. They did a great job remastering this game. I hope it sells well.
Balthazzarr *remake
...Aaand it did not sell well.
that game pushes the ps2 to te limit, like black o gow2
yeah you can tell by the 15 fps it's running at
Levobertus 15fps lmfao
man
they made art even more artistic
it's beautiful
Just uploaded my review, I rated it 9,5/10
GAMER SNACK | جيمر سناك thanks for the spoiler no need to watch it now...
This game was literally my childhood.😀
This game is just something else. I played it on the PS2 but never finished it as I found the controls a little difficult. I managed to finish this though on my PS4 Pro and what an intense experience. Probably my favourite game ever. I have a question though to anyone else using an HDR compatible TV. Do you find in HDR mode, the picture looks worse? I also found this with The Last Guardian. It just looks a bit more washed out. All my other games in HDR mode look better for it but not these 2 games. I'm wondering if its just me.
Can’t wait for digital foundry’s version
I'm worried the lawsuit they're facing has changed the way they make vids, have they changed in anyway?
Udoby Brea what lawsuit, why?
Udoby Break I'm curious about this lawsuit too 🤔
Can't wait for them to get another lawsuit
You haven't heard? Digital Foundry got the specs of a game wrong and called the Devs lazy. So the Devs tweeted at them saying it's wrong, we're not lazy and threatened them with a lawsuit. Probably it won't take place because DF replied they would run tests again.
Best comparison ever. Great job IGN, finally!!!
To this day im still more impressed by the ps2 version
DJBV the PS2 version was prob the best looking game on PS2 until Kingdom Hearts 2 or Persona 4 came out
Even though the remake is stunning it kind of loses something to, the original has an almost water colour look to it that made it seem other worldly.
Was kinda hoping you would show the forest and it's comparison. More lighting centered comparisons
Can't tell a difference, clearly a scam.
Then u gotta go to a medic
No , I lived under a rock :(
ggisfat DX! Should’ve stayed in it a bit longer. And yes that was a joke too
Sale on Hakim Optical
Oh, I can.
The thing is that this game doesnt need better graphics. Its a masterpiece. What more do you want?!
I want the unused colossi
@@malon6048 Such a cool hype when people tried to find the last Colossos. Soooo Coool! Love this game.
The Gameboy Advance SP version looks the best with its 144HZ refresh rate and OLED screen. BY FAR
Now THAT's what I call a Remastered and not those like 2013 games remade in 2018. Can't be that huge. But this? This looks amazing. Can't wait to play it for the first time (old Nintendo Fanboy who never had a PS2 or PS3 speaking)
You get a real sense of scale with the upgrade. It's massive and beautiful. I love it.
Mr. Fiddlesticks With the added detail and improved lighting it looks larger and more impressive even though it’s the same size. You’re stating the obvious..
I like that bright background in beginning in the original, compared to new versions and this is my first time seeing this game.
PS2 looks like a Nintendo DS in this side by side. I mean, it was a fantastic console, one of the best, but graphics- wise technology has evolved so much.
It had mind-blowing graphics for its time though.
-GR8 ViiBEZZZ- not really
El Doktor Montii, what do you mean not really?
El Doktor Montii Not sure if bait tho.
@Lain Ahahaha no. The DS is way closer to the original PlayStation in power then to the PS2.
Looks gorgeous. The developers should be very proud of themselves and the game they've recreated.
The PS4 version looks absolutely stunning. I love it.
However, I still prefer the original PS2 version's graphics.
You still sh1t version haha
@@carboneromundial3021 I don't know about you but I like the original PS2 graphics. It has a special charm that can't be replaced or outdone.
@@maximillionroivas3893 you like sh1t haha
@@maximillionroivas3893 it's called nostalgia unless you explain it properly
@@carboneromundial3021 so frustrated sad
My GOD, this looks amazing! Don't have a Pro but I'd probably be using Performance more if I did. There's not really much of a difference to speak on when they showed still images between that and Cinematic at the end. lmao
Really great choice of examples to show clear and obvious scene differences. This really highlights how while the PS4 version looks great, it completely changes the aesthetics and cinematography for the worse. Turns out having ultra hi-res textures, a high frame rate, and everything in perfect focus doesn't help when you don't capture the artistry.
This is maybe the first time I actually see difference between performance and cinematic besides frame rate.
Where is PS4 standard version?
It looks like Performance mode, but at 30fps instead of 60fps
Finished my first run on the original Ps4 yesterday, no problems at all, looks great, runs great :)
Stefan M does it still run at 60, or is it locked to 30
Locked 30 - Normal PS4
Unlocked capped 60 But not consistent on performance mode- PS4 Pro
Finally bought the PS4 HD remaster and I’m super excited. Can’t wait until it gets here
I think I still rather play the remaster for PS3. Since it's almost the same vision Ueda had for the original game.
Not that this doesn't look good. Don't get me wrong, it looks AMAZING; but the art style seems way off compared to the original...
Gabriel Dalposso Totally agree
Well, there are filters to choose from -- you can even adjust it to make it look similar to the original's tone
GB Gaming isn't that just for photo mode?
Gabriel Dalposso no it’s for entire gameplay
Ochinpo You can actually add the filter to the entire gameplay in the settings, they are the same filters u find in Photo Mode, except they apply even outside Photo Mode
Hmm, I think the higher contrast and where the camera sits to frame the landscape is more masterful in the original
I don’t remember the ps2 was this burley hell when i was a kid playing this i swear its look so realistic
d3fod in my memories every ps2 game looks like 4k lmao
Same..amazing how times change. I use to think games on the ps2 and dvd movies were awsome.. now im like ew
d3fod lol same
It's because you probably played it on a CRT TV.
PS2 games were designed with CRT in mind, it looks terrible on anything other than crt.
(Unless you run this game on a PS2 emulator on PC and upsacle the resolution)
Hell in my memories the NES looked awesome!!
Never played the original but the graphics and the gameplay looked like they were ahead of it's time.
This ps2-ps4 comparison always make me laugh. They all ignores ps3 version, probably because there are less differences. Very unfair.
Marco Ak or maybe because the one on ps3 is a remastered. The one that is being released on ps4 is a RE-MAKE.
Maybe its because the ps3 was just a remastered version, just a better resolution. The ps4 is a REMAKE. BIG difference between REMASTER AND REMAKE
uhmm. No.
When's the Steam version coming out.
Is that a joke?
Yes thats true its psn game so it never comes to any other platform
I am sad now
classic pc player
In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find shadow of the colossus on steam
This games got that magic feel to it, a nevertime, like youve found a hidden world you can spend eternity in and still not know all its secrets
Performance >> Cinematic
Eh, for a game like this where input delay isn't really all that important I'd probably go with cinematic. This is honestly more of an experience than it is a video game, if that makes any sense.
But for fighters and shooters yeah performance all the way.
Cinematic for me. That texture detail is insane on that mode not to mention it feels closest to the original.
Not in a million years. 60fps doesn't do nothing to this game and doesn't worth the graphical downgrade.. especially if you have a 4k TV. Cinematic mode is the way to go.
Performance Mode use 1080p with 60 FPS
Cinematic Mode use 2160 (4K) with 30 FPS
mellowman1978 same here! Cinematic all the way it feels like watchinf a movie
PS2 is best for me. Don't know why but the first time will always be remembered more than the second or later but i like them all all together.
Played all still nothing compares to the original Ps2 version. Still best dont care about new graphics
Based take. PS2 is the best version, lag and all.
I actually quite like Wonder’s face,,, also, I never noticed he looks at the bottom of his foot when standing still, that’s really cute
Ps2 looked fantastic for it's age :)
Performance vs cinematic, what is the difference?
The new graphics completely misses the mark.
The exaggerated bloom effect gives a etheral look to the PS2 title.
The modern look is impressive on a technical level, yes. But gone is the atmosphere that defines Shadow of the Colossus as a all time classic.
At least the HD release on PS3 keeps the experience intact.
Zhibou You're asking for the impossible, part of the reason the PS2 version look like that is because of the limitations. Of course with better graphics it's only natural that some things are gonna change.
Same, i prefer the grey foggy ness of the original
I heard the exact same complaints with the crash remakes and guess what, it turned out great and almost everyone loved it. Thank god people like you are in the vocal minority.
And i had those similar complaints. Crash remake looks like a beautiful modern cg animated feature, far from the simplistic and angular approach of the original. But through the old limitations shine a cartoon aesthetic with a Tex Avery vibe. Vibe altogether lost for a more rounded look.
Zhibou I think it looks astonishing (ps4 pro)
