C63 is a badass car and they are super cheap now! It's a fast car and bit of a nicer place to be inside. That said it gets completely trashed by the GTR. There are levels of performance and the C63 is not up to it
My dream car. If I owned one, I would probably b like u, not abuse it, drive only weekns & chill just like u. A GTR is more affordable than other super cars like a Lambo Ferrari, or Mclaren, but the most important of all is that it is super reliable & can b used as a daily driver unlike other super cars
Definitely going to be my next ride. I already got my mustang and... I want a Nissan GTR as my weekend warrior. Thank you for the vid! It's very informative!
Good video I have always liked the GTR. you sound like a smart why are living in California? The news I see is people from California are flocking to Arizona and Texas
California is absolutely a nicer place to live than AZ or TX. Our weather is nicer, homes are nicer, and the vibrancy of beverly hills and greater los Angeles is unmatched. If you have money, and quite a considerable amount of it, California is the place to be.
Depends how far back you put the front seats, but I wouldn't put anyone over 5'3" or so in the back for long. You might need to sit a little closer than normal
If I have per say, $32,000 saved would you recommend to give that as a down payment (60 months)? Or something like $20,000 and extend the loan from 60 to 72 months? I could purchase a cheaper c7 corvette, but I really dream of a GTR.
Remember I really don't know what I'm doing so take this with a grain of salt, but I would just do whichever gives you the better loan terms. So if you can get a lower rate etc. go with that. 72 months isn't ideal but usually you can pay off more without penalties, effectively making it a shorter loan. C7 is dope but the GTR is another lvl! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video man, been driving my 16 white BE for 2 years now, with this covid 19 and quarantine, not able to drive it around, or driving it at all been putting me down.
I honestly don't know. Most GTRs, like many other comparable cars have relatively low miles. However, the VR38DETT does have a good reputation for being pretty bulletproof and a lot of people beat on them at the track. Thanks for watching!!
To your last point. Agreed. However, I’d like to point out that kids or even a lot of adults will consider making over $100k completely out of reach and essentially on the same level as being a millionaire. It’s an arbitrary number, but I figure it’s a good one for at least how much you should make to justify having one car that costs that much to operate.
I don't mean to say that anyone can get one, or that it would be easy. That was certainly not my experience. If you asked me 5 to 10 years ago I would have said I will never own a car like this. I hope people see that it might be more realistic than initially thought. Thanks for watching!
What i really don't like is that at 75mph which is the legal highway speed limit here, the exhaust enters in acoustic resonance with the car and it is really painful after a while. Also hard to do better than 16mpg. It doens't like to take sharp turns on wet ground. It's difficult to arrive unnoticed at the gas station and avoid people starting a conversation as the sound of the engine is immediately turning heads. I love the interior and the quality of the leather and I like the 4 seats so you can take more than one people for a ride.
you obviously dont have a GTR. Anyone that mentions having rear seats its a clear sign. You can barely fit a small child in the back. lol. Its nice to be a poser on the internet.
@@StephanBuchin Oh no I dont? hahaha. Sure do kid. But you can keep posing on the internet. And sorry the back seats are completely useless unless you put a 5 year old back there. No adult can fit. Your comments keep proving my first comment correct.

That being said (a phrase which you overuse), if you eliminate the 'ahhs' in your speech, your dialogue will be much, much more listenable. BTW, I used to work in radio, as well as advertising. The information, the content that you present is just about perfect, so please don't change that! Thank you for all the hard work. Thumbs up!
How old are you? I’m 37 and look mid 20s and ppl always surprised when I tell them I own a few houses. Hopefully in couple years I’ll be able to afford a GTR
Tristan 16 yeah mate, paying down debt is the smart thing to do. Unlike this guy, I pay cash for depreciating assets and borrow from the banks for investments.
@@lengerer investment's like property are definitely a good idea, but paying cash no matter what kind of asset is not always the best idea. For round numbers say inflation is 2% and you get a 1% car loan. That means even if you did literally nothing else you are ahead compared to paying cash. Now say you take the money you could have used for cash payment but invest it in something that gives you a 5% return. Now you're actually making extra money even with paying interest on the loan. Thanks for watching and good luck with tye GTR!!
@@Tristan-po8de it sounds kinda crazy, but houses can actually make you money if you rent and the car will continue to take your money haha. The problem with both is just getting enough money in the first place to start. Thanks for watching!!
Great car👍and for the money what else will give you that kind of performance.I also like RS3’s,they give a great sound like the GTR.All the best from Manchester England 🏴
I wouldn't say huge. The Premium is definitely the best deal. If you want something a little unique the Black Edition or Track Edition are good value used. You could say Nismo is something like 15% better for 50% more money. If you aren't a high level driver that goes to a lot of track days you might want to stick with Premium. Thanks for watching!
I recently bought my first gtr about 2 weeks ago and I’m only 18 but just know that I busted my ass to get it and the only thing my parents helped me with was with insurance and my moms name under my gtr..... 2013 GTR Black edition. Bought it for 55k and has like 20k miles. It is tuned and makes more than 600+HP. the only mod would be exhaust. I want to put a widebody and spoiler and some toyo tires. Maybe put a wrap idk
So you got a cosign for 55k? How's that you busting your ass? I'm 24 and Earn $1,000 net per week, and can't even get a 30k car due to credit or big money down. Keep that job up or that $700-$1,000 car payment will bite you, Also them paying your $500+ insurance per month at 18 is a big deal. Nice car, Just don't ever quit working.
@@alvingeroy3242 you're 💯 correct, this kid is just blessed he just doesn't want to acknowledge that. Not many 18 year olds have parents that would help them purchase a 50g vehicle. Unless ofcourse the parents are wealthy.
@ invest into what? I'm about to drop $50,000 to get my Private Pilot license, Instrument Rating, Commercial pilot license and my Multi Engine/Instrument rating. What Should I do with it instead?
I daily drove one for about a year. Great car, but ended up selling my 2013 gtr. The attention and adrenaline rush wore off not gonna lie, and sometimes it would get annoying if I wasn't in a great mood that day or super busy running errands. My commute is 45 minutes in LA traffic, and I noticed any longer than 30 minutes in this car during slow traffic hours really blows. I don't regret the time I had with it, but I realized after owning one that it wasn't my preferred car to daily drive.
Either lease a new car every 3 years or buy a heavily used vehicle for $15k or less and buy it cash. That is the only 2 ways to get true value out of a vehicle.
The new Vette looks awesome! I'm not sure the GT500 should really be compared here though haha. There is a pretty big differential in its potential and the GTR. Also I think I there more to being "cool" but it's totally subjective. Thanks for watching!
Go to a dealer, they'll run your credit history, and at 18 your finance and insurance rates will be killer. Then find out what the hourly maintenance rates are, the cost costs of brakes and tires...and how long you want to live in the basement. Gonna be killer.
I found out about the reactions of people to a GTR when I took a ride in a friends GTR. Several people reacted to it, and a girl even went so far as to ask how old we both were, then she wanted his snapchat lol. I said I bet he gets reactions a lot? He said yes.
Your thumbnail text is hilarious because right above it was a 3 million dollar Pagani. What do you think of the fact that C&D tests showed the 2012 GTR made the exact same track time as the 2017 GTR, meanwhile the Hiroshima aywholes massively raised the price over those 5 years and gave you zero performance increase. It used to be a bargain basement priced performance car, and now it's insanely overpriced given that the corvette, viper, and other less expensive cars lay waste to the GTR on the track. See C&D's 10 year lightning lap times for the 230+ cars they tested during that time.
Looking at a GT-R. I have looked at them in the past but I got an M5 instead. I can relate to the recognition issues. I have had cars follow me on the road and into various shopping establishments. Other times cars have flashed their lights at me a block away so they can tell the M series. Have had long chats at the car wash. And of course there are the "revs" by Mustangs and other cars as they drive by. Maybe this time I will finally get a GT-R. Looks like they really have made many subtle improvements.
Yeah they update it almost every year! It's subtly changes but they really ad up. I'd avoid 09-10 for sure. Personally I like 13-14 the best but 17+ is a but more GT of that's what your going for. Thank for watching!

Sometimes, you get anger from people, who are actually mad that you own a nice car while they dont have one...or they get mad becuz they think u are too young to own it and it pisses them off that they are older than u but are still diving a shitter or an ordinary car...like you said, there are sacrifices to be made to have what u have..you have given up some other things to have This thing, or u have had to sacrifice ur free time and work like crazy to be able to afford it...
Absolutely. Thank you for watching!
Congratulations to You! The Nissan GT-R is a Awesome Car!
Thank you!!
Pretty sure they rev at you bc they are asking you to rev back... bc i would love to hear the sound of that😭 awesome vid, a lot of people compare this car as a daily to the amg e63 s and used you can get the e63s for a better deal but like you said the gtr is a presence. a benz will always be just a benz especially the four door ones.
C63 is a badass car and they are super cheap now! It's a fast car and bit of a nicer place to be inside. That said it gets completely trashed by the GTR. There are levels of performance and the C63 is not up to it
Snow_White_MR2 nah not the c63 the e63 s its the v8 bi turbo- brand new theyre priced at the same point as the gtr but used, cheaper than the gtr.
@@101Ari101 oh my bad. Yeah similar performance story and cool car, but more expensive haha
You lost me when you mentioned your daily was a Mazda 3 .... 🤔
...why?
He was conceived in that car
My dream car. If I owned one, I would probably b like u, not abuse it, drive only weekns & chill just like u. A GTR is more affordable than other super cars like a Lambo Ferrari, or Mclaren, but the most important of all is that it is super reliable & can b used as a daily driver unlike other super cars
It's so good at doing everything. Thanks for watching!!

Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!!
Good video I have always liked the GTR. you sound like a smart why are living in California? The news I see is people from California are flocking to Arizona and Texas
Haha sometimes I do wonder why I live here, but honestly everything is here. It's hard to give that up. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
California is absolutely a nicer place to live than AZ or TX. Our weather is nicer, homes are nicer, and the vibrancy of beverly hills and greater los Angeles is unmatched. If you have money, and quite a considerable amount of it, California is the place to be.
Great video, great car. Is the back seat big/comfortable enough for older kids for long distance trips ?
Depends how far back you put the front seats, but I wouldn't put anyone over 5'3" or so in the back for long. You might need to sit a little closer than normal
And thanks for watching!!
This car review was well put together and very informative I'm surprised you don't have more views!!!

@@SnowWhiteMR2 bro I'd love to watch you do a difference comparison between a g37 and g37s both sedans!
That was well thought out and informative. I've thought about owning this car multiple times in my life. Thanks for the insights.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the video man, been driving my 16 white BE for 2 years now, with this covid 19 and quarantine, not able to drive it around, or driving it at all been putting me down.
Haha I've been driving it even more! There's nothing else to go do so just cruise on a fun road. Anyway, thanks for watching! Stay healthy
Whats the average life mileage you get out of these engines , being that you drive it moderately. Thanks
I honestly don't know. Most GTRs, like many other comparable cars have relatively low miles. However, the VR38DETT does have a good reputation for being pretty bulletproof and a lot of people beat on them at the track. Thanks for watching!!
I can't think of a good reason to daily Cup 2. That being said $1500 for a set is really cheap. That's more in the PS4S category I think.
2:45 Daddy...new 3 series is boring, i want to be in that GTR XD
Good eye😂
Just saw it 😂😂
Nice and clear ! I currently have 2 RHD cars, really want a GTR R35 ...but parking is a issue to me !
Haha yeah parking is a serious limitation when you have multiple cars. Thanks for watching!!
Parking
Thinking of selling my m3 f80 comp and get GTR
It's a new level
To your last point. Agreed. However, I’d like to point out that kids or even a lot of adults will consider making over $100k completely out of reach and essentially on the same level as being a millionaire. It’s an arbitrary number, but I figure it’s a good one for at least how much you should make to justify having one car that costs that much to operate.
I don't mean to say that anyone can get one, or that it would be easy. That was certainly not my experience. If you asked me 5 to 10 years ago I would have said I will never own a car like this. I hope people see that it might be more realistic than initially thought. Thanks for watching!

What do you do for a living to afford the gtr? I’m currently in automotive sales and currently looking for a new career path.
Banking
Just left car sales for real estate. It’s great to save up a bunch of quick money and get out.
@@Executiveinvestments-- you don't have one. These seats are perfectly usable for someone not too tall.
@@StephanBuchin Oh no I dont? hahaha. Sure do kid. But you can keep posing on the internet. And sorry the back seats are completely useless unless you put a 5 year old back there. No adult can fit. Your comments keep proving my first comment correct.

Excellent review of what it's like to live with a GT-R. Thank you. Thumbs up!
Haha thanks for the feedback. I keep things pretty casual and off the cuff so I end up with filler words like that. Thanks for watching!
How old are you?
I’m 37 and look mid 20s and ppl always surprised when I tell them I own a few houses.
Hopefully in couple years I’ll be able to afford a GTR
Wormy you own a few houses but cant get a gtr?

Nice! You probably have some beautiful roads. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! I am a Skyline R32 fan and now a GTR! High props!
Haha both are great cars. Thanks for watching!!
Is there a huge difference btw Nismo and Premium?
Nice! Good luck with the car and thanks for watching!!
I don't regret the time I had with it, but I realized after owning one that it wasn't my preferred car to daily drive.
lol. the car is not meant to be a daily driver.
Either lease a new car every 3 years or buy a heavily used vehicle for $15k or less and buy it cash. That is the only 2 ways to get true value out of a vehicle.
how's the rear seat leg room space?
Not great haha. If you're a kid or under 5'2" it's alright

Used to be cool not anymore since the Shelby GT500 Cobra and 2020 Vette are here.😭
The new Vette looks awesome! I'm not sure the GT500 should really be compared here though haha. There is a pretty big differential in its potential and the GTR.

Go to a dealer, they'll run your credit history, and at 18 your finance and insurance rates will be killer. Then find out what the hourly maintenance rates are, the cost costs of brakes and tires...and how long you want to live in the basement. Gonna be killer.

@@kunamutas8941 I sold it in the worst timing you can imagine. In 2015 I sold it for €15k. A year later it's value went all the way up to €30k. It was a 1997 series 3. The best 33 model with factory xenon. Today they are between 25 to 35k for a mint one. But my next gtr would be a 50k 2011 r35 tbh.

Damn that sucks. I remember some guy bought a skyline gtr at my importer and crashed it bad leaving the shop. How did your accident happened?
tinoushgtr Houston Texas traffic = stuck on the freeway while it was flooding . Ruined the engine driving it home and the insurance called it a total lost . They said the engine was 45k plus parts and labor so they considered it a salvage. I had a choice to buy it back but I did not want to take a chance and lose my money and have nothing.
