    Hey Donnie,
    It's your newest fan from Jacksonville.
    I want you to try something new. I think you'll like and use it. If not, what you're doing is working.
    Don't hold your rod under your armpit. It's not as efficient or effective.
    Cradle it.
    If you stand at the position of "attention" with your arms at your side and raise your only your hands up while leaving your elbows at your side.... you'll make two perfect "V's". Then, rest your rod in the crux of your forearms and biceps. It will NEVER fall in the water but it will allow you full range of motion with BOTH arms to grab line, grab fish, remove lures, untangle knots, adjust gear, etc....
    It is THEE WAY for wade fishing. Putting your rod under your armpit works, but not as well.... and it limits your dominate arm because you have to continuously keep your arm pinned to your torso or risk losing your TSR rod....
    I know you don't use "bait".... but, if you do, this method is extra good for getting bait from a bucket onto your hook.
    Nice fishing/catching.
    I tapped the thumbs up 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters.

    Another great video with beautiful fish! I was wading the flats this morning as well, caught tons of mangrove snappers and snook. The summer bite has been surprisingly good despite the heat/drought. Keep up the awesome videos man! tight lines! 🎣

      Did you keep any mangrove snapper? Those are one of my favorite fish to eat

    Thanks for the awesome content. I picked up my free pack of salt, strong paddle tails today and some hooks to go along with them. I plan on heading down to Lovers Key to check out what may bite along the mangroves. Going to do a little wade fishing.

    Nice tarpon looked like a fun trip. Do you fish that flat all summer?

    • @FLFlatsmaster
      @FLFlatsmaster  2 місяці тому

      Yes I go between the beaches / passes and that flat most of the summer. And spillways once it starts raining real good

    Good video to watch! In waist deepwater like you both were in, do have any concern about sharks?

    • @artificialslinger9730
      @artificialslinger9730 2 місяці тому

      Nope. 99% time sharks are more scared of us. Only time shark will attack normally is if you wade fish with a stringer of fish or late in the evening like right before dark and they mistake you for food.
      Been wading 15 years now no issues.
