Those recons can literally just about do it all. I've owned many different ATV's, and the one that sits in my garage, despite not riding for years, is a recon. I've ridden for over 30+ years and the recon is perfect because it's nimble and torquey. Like always, Honda got it right with this machine.

I have been kicking around the idea of getting a recon, I miss shifting gears. Just wish they had a lil more power.

Don't care what anyone says. You could put me on a Renegade 1000 or a Recon 250 and i'd still have the same amount of fun. Each bike has it's own pros/cons but are still fun to bomb around trails on.
