I bought a 2002 recon for 500..It sat for over 10 years in my buddy's garage..I bought a new battery, changed the oil/ air filter and cleaned the carb now it runs great

One came up for sale in my area last night. 2001 Honda Recon 250 for only $400. It says that it runs, but needs carburetor work. I am seeing it a lot in the comments section that people have had to replace the carburetors on these.

400 is a great deal for a running one. I got mine for over 1000. A carburetor can take less than 30 minutes to change

Any chance you know the width at the tire level? Trying to find a quad that will fit in the bed of my maverick

I think the carburetor gets flooded because of the float height. That’s why it works with the gas off. It also cuts out if I do wheelies with the gas on.
