I had the pleasure of seeing Samara Joy live on two occasions in North Carolina- she is an absolute joy to listen to and be entranced by her gorgeous sound! May she continue to bless us with her rare and appreciated vocal talent!
Samara Joy is incredible! Such elegant, mature, amazing vocals with great control and poise! She’s only 25 and is already making an indelible mark on the music industry and reintroducing this generation to jazz in a profound way! Absolutely loved seeing her live! And her father Antonio? The man is Luther Vandross 5.0! Omgosh! Do yourself a favor and go see her live!
I remember her grandfather as a contestant on Sunday’s Best. He had an amazing voice and presence. I’m glad to see him still singing. Samara Joy is a gift to this world. May God continue to bless, keep and protect her as she continues sharing her talents and gifts.
I had the privilege of seeing her sing her and her family at the Kimball Theatre and even her 97 year-old grandfather came out on stage and sang She is phenomenal.❤️❤️❤️
This young lady is the truth!!! Saw her perform for the first time on the Grammys and I was like "OMG!" Couldn't believe that sound came out of this young lady! I was blown away! Unbelievable tone and phrasing. Just wow!!! She has a beautiful career ahead of her. ❤
These clips don’t even do her magnificent instrument justice. She’s effervescent and lithe with a voice comparable to Ella’s. I was blown away by her in person.
Yay I am so grateful to have her in my favorite musical category - that being jazz vocalist. I came across her probably has short time ago and was blown away by her vocal ability and her being a young talent! This gave me chills and I wanted to cry when her granddad referred to her as a gem! She is simply amazing! Such cute baby pics of her too!
Her voice is incredible- such a sweet rich tone and depth. There's a maturity that sounds familiar to fans of Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. She has an amazing career ahead of her.
I had the pleasure of seeing her live recently. She will go down as one of the great jazz vocalists. I hope her voice inspires a new generation of people to discover and enjoy the wonders of jazz music.
When I first heard her I immediately purchased some of her jazz standards My favorite musical genre is jazz particularly Frank, Ella, Buble, early Myles, and now Samara
The firstime I heard of her was on Facebook. Had to find out who she is because I was floored. I had the opportunity to see her live and will again and again.
I am a singer - now of a certain age - who has been considered a singular talent and in my older age, having sung Rock ne Roll for years (think voice like Ann Wilson (heart) Linda Rondstadt crossed with some Joni Mitchell) then faking classical in church and choral singing- ANYWAY - as a grown up been dying to do jazz - and doing some gigs with a pianist performing American Songbook - sometimes being very well received at Jazz club open mics - BUT HEARING this young woman - I think time to lay down the mic for good. HOLY GOD - what a gifted, natural, polished and amazing voice. WOW WOW WOW
When youre not just good but different and good and a personality that conveys beauty. Her educated background helped her build her foundation.and become an inspiration and not to mention a revival of old jazz.
She is wonderful ,intelligent , kind-hearted, and at peace with herself . She sang with different spirits . I have to introduce her to my middle g'daughter !
Samara Joy is w/o a doubt exceptionally talented. Her entire family is truly anointed & appointed by the Lord, and to Him alone be all the glory, honor & praise. Just look at her 94-year-old precious grandpa still shining bright. God bless them all!
What a JOY to see, hear, and experience! I have hope we return to the elegance, class, and civility of time gone by listening to this young woman. Thank you for being... 💙
This young lady is helping to reinvigorate Jazz as a critically important musical art form, thank GOD for her!
Amen!
🎯If I may add with a touch of gospel and soul 💛
