When i was 13 in 1993, my parents and me went to Euro-Disney Paris. I played this machine for my first time there and i loved it. It was very late and my parents wanted to go. So i only could play 2 Games (6 Balls). So i swore to buy this pinballmachine when i´m old enough. Since to years i found a very well preserved white water. :-) But it germany pinballmachines are expensive. I paid 4.300 US $. I have it converted to leds. Looks very good and my dream came true! Jabadabadoo.
just got back from the 2011 Michigan Pinball Expo, never played pinball very much as a kid but a friend and I had the greatest time playing all the games until we found this machine and it soaked are last two hours at the expo. It was by far my favorite game we played. Thanks for the nice review of the machine
im from toronto Canada.I worked an arcade for 5-7 years right at the hight of the arcade business. Im a pro on White Water. We had this game in our arcade. along with theater of magic, twighnight zone, and terminator 2 as well as dracula and adams family. I play them all on xbox in the pinball game they have there. BUT....NOTHING LIKE THE REAL MACHINE> Im amazing at this game though. used to play it for cash. beat the vcation planner 4 times in one game! and Im also amazing on the xbox version too! lol love WHITEWATER!
This was the first Williams pinball machine I literally just fell in love with... before that, it was mainly Gottlieb and some Data East games since that was all they had in a pinball selection at my hometown arcade when I was yong.
Pinball machines really are to rare on the UA-cam gaming channels.. Great video man. I´m quite new to your channel but it is rapidly becoming one of my favourite channels... My favourite pinball machine is without a doubt the 1998 Monster Bash, also by Williams.
They have this pin at one of the boardwalk arcades in Daytona. First time playing and it was a lot of fun. I love all of the crazy ramps. Oh yeah and that mine cave was a cheap surprise at first when I wasn't expecting it.
I miss these pinball videos Spida1a. I wish you would go back and do more of them. I'm sure you have different pins in your collection now. I would love to see an update video.
I hated this game when I first played it. Now I just can't stop. Love the flow of the table. Some amazing combo shots to be had and a real challenge to get everything the game offers. Great Vid :D
i remember playing this table 1995 my 1st contact whist white water as a kid my impressions was WOW jumping ramps, rotating big foot.... but all my games was short, really hard and fast table, but i like it. so my older brother decided to by this table, so i was the most happiest kid in the planet :D so i continue playing and playing... til we buy a new machine (Indiana Jones) yes i know Indiana Jones is a great table on of my top 5 best tables ever....but White Water is my 1st in collection :D
grear review... you know that when you are done doing these pinball reviews there are going to be alot of pinball fans watching you tubo grafx review's and saying " WE WANT MORE PINBALL" lol
@spida1a I thought they were all in your basement! I've always used it as inspiration for myself, like, one day.. I too will have a super-basement like that!
Neil Beardwood Are you married? If so, can you appreciate this stage in your life. Do you have kids? They were not there during those times. I'm sorry and I don't mean to be rude, I miss things in my past too, but it's sad. Every stage of life is great, you should look forward to getting older.
Hey Chris, great review as always. I agree with nlafavore, your commentary is great. Your voice sounds great and of course you are looking better than ever. Hope things are going well for you and good luck in this new year.
this is a pinball game I really couldn't get into back in it's day, I played other pin ball like Adams Family, Twilight Zone, and Road Show, but I recently started playing in Visual Pin Ball and it's actually a lot of fun. Now one thing baout the big score for completeing the River Adventure, you MUST complete the locks last, if you go into multi-ball before all the notches are complete, you have to wait till you get into another multi-ball after the rest are complete to complete it, and after the 2nd multi-ball, lighting lock becomes MUCH more difficult as the targets are on a timer.
I've been watching all your pinball videos and you uploaded this pretty much right as I finished the rest of them. Awesome. Love these videos man, these games are so cool! Kinda makes me want to get one...or a collection of them lol.
@NOVArcade Sure do, yes. Hence the "free only" on the dot matrix display. Sigh, guess I can't charge my friends on this one. Ha ha. :) I actually mentioned it in the initial cut of the review but it ended up on the cutting room floor. Happy New Year. :)
Hey! Thanks for watching and commenting my friend. Yeah...a lot of the goodies were designed in 1992. But, the official release date was January 1993. They documented that at the Internet Pinball Database as well (I remember unboxing that puppy at a local arcade in January of that year, ha ha). :)
@tommie334 Ha! Excellent. If you learn the rules in this one, it can keep your attention for a looong time. I am glad you enjoyed it! I will probably be going to the Allentown (Pinfest) show in May. Hoping they have it there since I haven't played my games in SOOO long. Ha ha. Thanks for watching!!
@TheLoadingScreenz Lol! It is always nice to know how you can make someone feel bettter....even after throwing up. Ha ha. Have a great one and feel better!
@spida1a That could be a good idea, but kinda sad in a way since you don't have those machines anymore. We are getting down to the wire, but it could be a while before you put up the next one. Can't wait for Funhouse! "I thought we were pals."
you have awesome pinball tables, actually am looking for one of those on ebay right now haha, i think i played this once when i was a child, keep going...... and greetings from south america
@nlafavore Thanks my friend. We are getting down to the wire now. Say...what do you think about a "My Past Pinball Collection" video series? I can dig-out some old photos of my past games, I have some old video footage....and all of them have some memories or something I can talk about. They won't be as detailed as these (since I can't get new footage of gameplay and such). But.....
@steveteddy555 Honest, I have never really figured out the hours it takes. I shot ALL the footage for these pin vids in FOUR total days. Which was crazy to think about. But, the editing takes a while.....I try to get them "watchable" (even with me in it, ha ha). Thanks for watching!
@dylboy1800 Oh wow...I guarantee that one didn't sell if someone was asking that much. There isn't a pinball that goes for 50 grand. You can usually find them for a couple or so (this particular game I could sell for probably...oh...$1700+...of course, that is after I spent hours and hours working on it). But, it's a collector's market...it all depends on the game, condition, rarity, years, etc. Ya' know? Thanks for watching.
@hmmmmmmmmus Just make sure the work is done "thorough" and you'll be fine. I've had mine since 2002 and, aside from general cleaning, have never had an issue. :) Thanks an good luck!
@ProjectReality64 It's worth average price. Goes for pretty good. Ha ha....you should see some of my other games with lower production numbers (Big Bang Bar, mine is #34 of a little under 200). :) Thanks for watching.
@chibler1958 Cool, thanks. I tried a smaller coil value once and it still was not 100%, at least on my machine. Perhaps it is haunted? Ha ha. :) Thanks for watching!
spida1a it be nice if you reviewed console pinball games also. Most of us can never find a place to play pinball. Please update to a HD camera I love your videos.
I've never actually PLAYED a White Water. In my basement, I could barely fit a fish tales topper... I had to have the playfield at too low of a tilt, and the ball moved too slowly. I am debating getting a White Water, because the ramps looks AWESOME (I know, lame reason) and was wondering if a WH20 with no topper is worth it?
@lander77477 They used to be. Watch the first installment (Addams Family) of the series. I briefly explain what happened and why I was filming all these segments in that first episode. Take care and happy new year!
@SkippyChurch Hmm. I honestly don't know what to say. Ha ha. This one is pretty complex up top, not too bad underneath. But, I'm not a master of "playfield swapping". I don't particularly like it. Ha ha!
Chris, gotta question for you. I want a White Water, but am looking at doing a total restore of a turd condition one. I have totally over hauled a WCS before, with playfield swap and all. Would you say this one would be pretty hard to do, compared to other pins? In other words, just how involved and confusing is the playfield parts for swapping?
@mp4podcastDOTcom Unfortunately, not only am I broke...but, I might have to sell a game to get by (in the hospital now "last minute"). So...I don't think I can afford to upgrade my camera right now or in the near future. :(
Alright I have a question the White River pinball my brother got, it is the proper one of course, it has a water-levler in the bottom right corner, right now the pin-spring etc. Obviously this is used to determine whether or not the pinball machine is level. Curiously.. in order to get it level? You need to raise the back up quite a bit is this normal? It's pretty much on maxed out on the stilts.
You want the bubble edge to be between the first and second lines of the bubble level. There should be a bunch of lines, you only want the front edge of the bubble between the first and second lines
When i was 13 in 1993, my parents and me went to Euro-Disney Paris. I played this machine for my first time there and i loved it. It was very late and my parents wanted to go. "Boring commentary"? If it was boring, why have I been watching these videos all day? I enjoy your pinball stories.
I see i am not alone. When i tell people i love pinball machines they look at me like i am an alien.I LOVE PINBALL!

@BBGChannel Thanks a lot. I'm glad you enjoy the overview vids. Getting down to the wire on 'em...ha ha.
@kingjimmysmit I totally miss collecting and can't wait to start picking up my nostalgic favorites sometime again. Ha ha. Have a great one.
@spida1a I think that's a GREAT idea! I'm a nostalgia buff especially when it comes to old games. I'd love to see some more of your old stuff.
Chris, your commentary is NEVER boring! I love it!
My dad got White Water recently and it's a blast. It's one of my favorite machines since I love ramps so much.
This was the first Williams pinball machine I literally just fell in love with... before that, it was mainly Gottlieb and some Data East games since that was all they had in a pinball selection at my hometown arcade when I was yong.
i love those preview videos of pinball machines : Di wish i had one
Pinball machines really are to rare on the UA-cam gaming channels..
Great video man.
I´m quite new to your channel but it is rapidly becoming one of my favourite channels...
My favourite pinball machine is without a doubt the 1998 Monster Bash, also by Williams.
@jjames729 Thanks my friend. We're getting close to the end so....I'm glad you enjoyed the series.

Great vid, great guy and great pinball table!

I hated this game when I first played it. Now I just can't stop. Love the flow of the table. Some amazing combo shots to be had and a real challenge to get everything the game offers. Great Vid :D
im at peace when the whitewater theme turns on
no way out!

White Water looks like a ton of fun! great video! :D
Still watching in 2024!
Are you coming to the Chicago Pinball Expo this year?
grear review... you know that when you are done doing these pinball reviews there are going to be alot of pinball fans watching you tubo grafx review's and saying
" WE WANT MORE PINBALL" lol
This is my next pin, I have been looking for a nice one for almost a year! Great video... keep em coming!
No Chris,your commentary isn`t boring,its very interesting :}
@CC10Gaming I'm glad you enjoy them. Truly. Thanks for watching!!
greatest pinball game ever
Chris! You rule just like White Water!!
@spida1a I thought they were all in your basement! I've always used it as inspiration for myself, like, one day.. I too will have a super-basement like that!
Sweet! Last I knew, they started rolling off the line January '93. :)
after watching some of these videos, this is an awesome collection you have, and is inspiring me to go play some pinball!
@dadofducks LOL. Hey, you're welcome. Good luck with the fixin's!
Great game, was very hard as I remember back in the day. I remember this, Fish Tails and Adams Family the most. God I miss my youth.
I'm 27 years old, i always feel sad when i read "i miss my youth." Nothing has changed, you can still play those great games today.
You will understand when you get to 40 or 50.
It's not 'the' playing of the game.
Neil Beardwood
Are you married? If so, can you appreciate this stage in your life.

I'm sorry and I don't mean to be rude, I miss things in my past too, but it's sad. Every stage of life is great, you should look forward to getting older.

@RadiumZ1 Thanks a lot. I actually wish I had more time to work on them than I do. Ha ha. ;)

A very cool looking Pin Chris. : )

I Played this same pinball at the Daytona Beach boardwalk arcade... I like the insanity falls ramp.
@JimmyBackbeat Ah yes, Monster Bash. Had that one for a while. Great game. Thanks for watching!
@NOVArcade Sure do, yes. Hence the "free only" on the dot matrix display. Sigh, guess I can't charge my friends on this one. Ha ha. :)

@PinBallReviewer Totally. Thanks for watching!
This is a hard pin for sure.
I played this at Ground Kontrol Arcade and did not get very far playing it.
And I consider myself fairly good at pinball.
I've done so well on this machine that I even scored a total of 8 credits.
Any game with Big Foot is a winner in my book
@TeButler You'll enjoy it. Ha ha. Have a great one.
@TheLoadingScreenz Lol! It is always nice to know how you can make someone feel bettter....even after throwing up. Ha ha. Have a great one and feel better!

Lol. No problem, glad I could help. :)
I love That Table to!
The topper sort of gives you the illusion that you could get actually wet, just like the fan topper on whirlwind would blow air in your face.
@hmmmmmmmmus Just make sure the work is done "thorough" and you'll be fine. I've had mine since 2002 and, aside from general cleaning, have never had an issue. :)

Cool video!!
@whattaphuck Greetings my friend! Oh, a fully shopped, nice functional White Water....you're probably looking about 2k (give or take..all depends). :)
@SecretofSquare Ha ha. Hey, cool! Thanks my friend!
@Wildcatbeer Ha ha. I totally understand. :)
@ChrisMolyneaux93 I hear you. It destroyed me when I was younger.......now it's payback time! HA HA
Thanks for watching.
@IzLoveMoneyz Ha ha. I definitely have the face for radio! Lol! :)
@ryanc519 They are in storage in PA where I moved from (until I figure out my life a bit). :)
@blacksixspeed No, I am not. There are plenty of excellent sources out there for all the other systems. :)
Chris...put a -1500 coil in the lost mine kickout and the ball will return more consistently to the right flipper...Chris Hibler
spida1a it be nice if you reviewed console pinball games also. Most of us can never find a place to play pinball.
Please update to a HD camera I love your videos.
@rngpro Wow, thanks my friend. 2011 hopefully will be my weight loss year. :)
@kaiserwilhelm Funhouse? That is the next video I am doing... :) :)
@Vype100 Excellent!!!!!!!!
thats crazy, you have a machine that less than 7 thousand people own. Is it worth a lot?
I've never actually PLAYED a White Water. In my basement, I could barely fit a fish tales topper... I had to have the playfield at too low of a tilt, and the ball moved too slowly. I do not. But, it's a great early Williams classic, for sure. "Gorgar....eat!" ha ha
@SkippyChurch Hmm. I honestly don't know what to say. Ha ha. This one is pretty complex up top, not too bad underneath. But, I'm not a master of "playfield swapping". I don't particularly like it. Ha ha!

Chris, gotta question for you.

@Magicallystoopid Hmm, could be. I'm going by Dennis Nordman's interview (it looks a hell of a lot like him too though) .
